Burnt Out

Days usually ends with more to do than when i first started and it backlogs daily... more situations/things to pre-empt and plan for... list of things to think ahead builds... anticipating and picking signs of potential issues and determining a probable solution or whom can provide/should provide the solution.. If there is no solution than need to develop a workaround or cover up plan... In addition to that other commitments that I cannot say no to... barely are there moments just to be quiet and not required to "think of what is there to do next or what is there left to do"...

Too mentally and soulfully tired to think, talk, ask or muster energy to say anything.... burnt out... falling into this mode more than I should that I think its really not healthy... feels overwhelming and defeated... contemplating whether saying "NO" to all is the solution.... and the other alternative is not as enticing as it used to be anymore...

Twitch

My eyes rarely twitch.... Only within this recent year. I used to think it was a random rarity that it twitched and thought it must have been for no relevant reason.
Now I pretty much have come to a conclusion that it is not random and that it seems to have occurred when I am in a state of great stress/greatly overwhelmed.

Maybe its a good thing as a sign that I need to do something to address it?

Bapa Yang Kekal

A lovely song to listen and reflect upon :D

by Julita Manik, sung by Lea Simanjuntak.

Kasih yang sempurna telah
Ku t’rima dariMu
Bukan kar’na kebaikkanku
Hanya oleh kasih karuniaMu
Kau pulihkan aku, layakkan ku
‘tuk dapat memanggilMu, Bapa

Kau b’ri yang kupinta
Saat ku mencari, ku mendapatkan
Ku ketuk pintuMu, dan Kau bukakan
S’bab Kau Bapaku, Bapa yang kekal
Takkan Kau biarkan
Aku melangkah hanya sendirian
Kau selalu ada bagiku
S’bab Kau Bapaku, Bapa yang kekal

Rissi Palmer

Was in a bookshop in Seattle in Jan 08 and could not help to ask what CD was being played of the upcoming black country singer that I have not heard of. Loved her voice and music and decided to get it thru "other means" when I got back home. Searched high and low through those "means" and to my dissapointment I could not find it. Even regretted for not having bought it in the first place.

But yay... 10 months later I have found it :D Lovely album! Here's one of my favourite slow number from her:

Here's another.... I prefer her rendition and her voice in singing "No Air"

4.30am

I wonder why stay up till 4.30am to complete as much as work as I can, so that things of a certain project will continue to run as smooth as possible without the company's effort being questioned. I knew when I had to be on MC on Monday it only meant I have less no of days for me to complete work by Thursday the same week. I know taking another day of MC is not an option even though I was still not feeling very well as it would leave me only 1 day of impossible work to complete.

1 day of MC, back to work next day and worked till 4.30am to complete as much work as I can = 2 days of work even though I took MC

Cookie or Pizza

It was a special occassion and we had family dinner at LaFite. Have heard quite a bit about the fine dining restaurant and I was looking forward to see what its all about despite the fact that its slow and you will leave still feeling hungry. And indeed it was a memorable visit :D

It started with free flow of bread while awaiting for our soups. The soups was served 1 hour later and true enough it was little but we were all pretty full from having the bread(s) ;D

The main meal was served and sis (sis-in-law) was relieved that they had forgotten the pizza she ordered on top of her main dish. Mid the meal we informed the waiter of the forgotten pizza and he told us he had served it on our table! And we went "Where??" .... Look below...

And we thought it was a complimentary cookie for the kids! :D We laughed sooooo much over this.... so much so that sis dropped the pizza onto the floor!...hhehhehee.... and we had a bite each anyway ;D

We had complimentary dessert and I've never been served a candy floss tree :D

Ladder

Have been weighed down lately.... thinking about "corporate laddering"... how far would i want to climb the ladder... or if its worth considering different kind of ladders to hop on... or if hopping on another ladder is going to end up the same.. then maybe stepping down the ladder... after climbing the same ladder for sometime now one becomes familiar and it's easy to see where the ladder is heading to and sometimes it looks as though maybe its not for me.... just thoughts to think about for now... and carrying out what needs to be done still have to go on....

Children At Risk

In the midst of our day to day living to meet our needs of living and personal needs.. through our work responsibilities, family, loved ones.... remembering to get our workout, finding opportunities of time to indulge in our hobbies, planning for an eventful/relaxing weekend...
At BLC I am reminded of the other side of what day to day life is like in the lives of Children at Risk.... and how I should actively make it a point to see even if its little, as to how I can contribute to make a difference...

Do take time to see these as a reminder/as an eye opener that there are more that are happening not just in the world around us.

Event-Full

Its the first day of a long leave for the wedding. Woke up early as there are still so many things to do. Pretty good progress today - final draft of the church program, got some ideas and things for the pews deco, called the caterer, the bed and the floor of the room is finally ready to make the room a room. Got somethings for the wedding before joining the CS group for dinner.

Event I
Just about on my way to Pavillion [AL] sms'ed news that [A]'s hubby [D] met with a bad accident last night with critical head injury - and according to the doctor he is brain dead :( Finally met [A]'s hubby some months back for CNY dinner at their home with the cell. [D] is a great cook have been cooking his yummy dishes for us for years. He cooked dinner for all us that CNY and it was excellent. He's hospitable, bubbly, full of life and entertaining, [A] a very humble and sincere person.. they both complement each other very much I thought to myself that evening. [A] is still in shock from the news. And I am still in shock having heard that :( So much so that when walking to Kampachi I was bit zombie like and all my thoughts and prayers was just about what had happened. Took me sometime to settle with the group when I got there as I was just so sad with for [A] of what she is going thru. It also reminded how me trying to decide what ribbons to put on the church pew is insignificant in comparison to what has happened and just having your loved one's safe.

Event II
I was very touched indeed by my fellow collegues who surprised me with a wedding gift. It was sooo thoughtful of them even though they cannot make it for the wedding. Am touched from the effort on the card and having chosen a lovely figurine for the occassion.
Thanks muchly LH,CH and PC :D I really, really appreciate what you girls and guy(s) did for Larry and I :D

Here's pics of what they have given :D

Event III
Through out dinner my thoughts were still for [A] and [D]. Dinner ended and my thoughts was still filled with the news and also colleagues wonderful gesture of the wedding gift. So much so that the police stopped me for forgetting to turn on my car lights. Policeman make me nervous even though I know I have not done something seriously wrong. The policeman gestured to write a summon and kept asking me "apa nak buat?" / "so what do you want do?" over and over again. I didnt really understand what he wanted to from me and I really wanted to believe that he was NOT asking me for money. And I actually thought maybe he wanted a remorseful apology to let me off the hook(I know I am a naive adult) - I apologized and he still asked me the same question again. Anyway I would rather pay the fine than to give him kopi money. After sometime trying to understand what he wanted from me he let me off the hook. After assessing the what happened again he must be asking me for money even though I really want to believe that he wasn't. Sigh... pls stop doing this policemen, and everyone else don't support this by giving kopi money.
