My Velcro Child

Image
I have to say that I love this little guy. I am loving having him as my baby for at least a few more weeks. He is more of a mama's boy then my other two kids ever were. He follows me around the house and is always giving me kisses and sharing his food. He comes and cuddles with me in my bed. I am not lying when I say he tickles my face, gives me kisses and tells me, "love you". I love it! If I go out and get the mail and don't take him, he'll run to me when I come in and have me hold him as if I have been gone for hours. He is starting to talk so much! Two days ago this is what he said to me while walking down the stairs in our house: "Mommy I'm poopy. Change my diaper so I can pee pee on the potty. Hurry! Pee pee is coming!" So I rush to the toilet and he looks at me and says, "No. I went pee pee in my diaper." Kanyon is also recently obsessed with Toy Story and Cars. "Can I watch Woody Buzz?!" or, "Can I watch

First Day of SECOND Grade!

Image
Katelin is too little to go to 2nd grade! Why is my baby girl growing up so fast?! The four little besties: Kylee, Katelin, Morgan, McKenna Katelin and her new teacher Miss Edwards. I hear she is an awesome teacher. Super excited about her. Katelin looked like this when I went to pick her up from school. She said she was a "rock star" in her class. They also had a raffle for those who followed the rules. She won that frog. How did that teacher know Katelin is a sucker for stuffed animals? Katelin had a wonderful first day. She is so excited to be back at school! The boys missed her! *Just a side note: I dealt with her demands of perfection, from her hair to the way I packed her school lunch, with patience and love. That doesn't happen as often as I would like. (I hope these demands don't last the whole year...)

Swimming Lessons

Image
We had swimming lessons every week day for the last two weeks. They were 30 minute lessons. Our last swimming lesson was yesterday. Today was a free swim day. At first, Katelin did not want to take lessons. Then she wouldn't admit she loved it until the last week. KC was grinning from ear to ear every time he got in the water. They are both pretty good little swimmers! Katelin will be in Level 4 next time, and KC level 2. I was nervous about entertaining this little guy, but 30 min goes by fast with a sucker! The kids loved jumping off of the diving board. I wish I had my camera today so I could take pictures of KC too. Katelin lost her front tooth last night. I had to get a picture. Baby Mama

Just so people like Jill can be informed on my un-exciting life. This is what has been going on this summer: Swimming at Seven Peaks Swimming lessons I am still teaching a couple of piano lessons T-ball for KT and KC - Kye was the coach "Woody-Buzz" is all Kanyon talks about Reading The Wii (Hey, I gotta nap!) Other then that I feel like the huge elephant I just saw on the Nature show. She was pregnant and got slower and bigger as time went on. I don't know if she lays down as much as me though. This pregnancy has really worn me out. I think that might also be the fact that I have Kanyon to chase after. He is one big ball of energy. I really enjoy taking naps by him. He tickles my face and gives me sweet kisses and hugs. I am looking forward for school starting for the kids sake. I am sad that Katelin will be gone most of the day when I have the baby. She is such a good help. It will be nice when she is around.

8 Years!

For our anniversary we meet up with our fabulous friends, the Kongaika's, and hung out in SLC. We ate at Tucano's, played at the Gateway and then went to make-out hill above the capitol so our Hawaiian natives could see the view. We were jamming to Glee tunes. Our new favorite music! --Side note about Tucanos. If you live in UT, you can join their birthday club and receive a free meal the month of your birthday. There is one at the Gateway, and one in Provo. Click here: http://www.tucanos.com/components/clubtucanos and no, that is not my beer can by my feet. :)

I Lost KC for 2 Hours

Today we went to Seven Peaks water park. Me and my three kids. We were in the wave pool together. After an hour and a half, I told the kids we were going home after the waves were done. Kanyon and I went on our towel and then we went to take the tube back. I went to herd the other two kids and I could only find Katelin. This was 12:30. So Katelin stayed in the pool while I took Kanyon in the stroller and looked out over the wave pool to try to find him. I couldn't. I walk around to the other side of the wave pool hoping I could see better from that side. I couldn't. So then I start getting nervous because my little hungry boy was missing. So Kanyon and I go back to our towels. I wait for a few minutes. he doesn't come. So I get Katelin out of the pool and we start looking all over. There are a million kids that look like KC. People keep coming in. It is making me sick. 45 minutes later, I go and tell the appropriate people that my kids is lost. "No big

Here I am at 20 weeks. Here are pictures of baby boy #3 This is a message for Katelin. Maybe she won't be so sad. And for those who have any doubts about the gender, my little man is not ashamed...

We went to Moab with my side of the family. Most of them were first timers...they loved it! Here are some of my scrap book pages from the trip:

The Last Day of School

Image
Before I talk about the last day, I will show this picture taken the 2nd to last day. I love Mrs. Whitaker. She made a great effort with Katelin and really encouraged her strengths and helped her with her weaknesses. You can't put a price on what a teacher can do. The amount they get paid is a crime... Last Day: As promised, the kids got to ride their bikes to school. Grandma Joyce came with to go to KC's graduation. The kids are going to LOVE this picture in the future ;) The last group hug for the 1st grade class Katelin near tears hugging Mrs. Whitaker. She has inspired Katelin to become a 1st grader teacher. Our little Kye graduation from Preschool today! The kids performed some of the dances/songs and got a certificate. I can't believe he will be in Kindergarten! He is ready!

Boys at the Park

I just have to tell you now that Kanyon is the most bold, brave, crazy, two-year-old I have had so far. He can climb anything and holds and swings on anything. The most scary is how he goes head first down the BIGGEST slide while screaming, "WEE". It seriously melts my heart and gives me a heart attack at the same time. If you aren't there at the bottom, he will eat wood chips. KC, on the other hand, is cautious. It's quite nice. Here's my boy looking 5 feet tall. Notice the floods. (I need to hide them, they are his favorite.) This is candid right off the slide! I love his little face!
