The Last Day of School

Image
Before I talk about the last day, I will show this picture taken the 2nd to last day. I love Mrs. Whitaker. She made a great effort with Katelin and really encouraged her strengths and helped her with her weaknesses. You can't put a price on what a teacher can do. The amount they get paid is a crime... Last Day: As promised, the kids got to ride their bikes to school. Grandma Joyce came with to go to KC's graduation. The kids are going to LOVE this picture in the future ;) The last group hug for the 1st grade class Katelin near tears hugging Mrs. Whitaker. She has inspired Katelin to become a 1st grader teacher. KC Graduates from Preschool

Image
Our little Kye graduation from Preschool today! The kids performed some of the dances/songs and got a certificate. I can't believe he will be in Kindergarten! He is ready!

Boys at the Park

Image
I just have to tell you now that Kanyon is the most bold, brave, crazy, two-year-old I have had so far. He can climb anything and holds and swings on anything. The most scary is how he goes head first down the BIGGEST slide while screaming, "WEE". It seriously melts my heart and gives me a heart attack at the same time. If you aren't there at the bottom, he will eat wood chips. KC, on the other hand, is cautious. It's quite nice. Here's my boy looking 5 feet tall. Notice the floods. (I need to hide them, they are his favorite.) This is candid right off the slide! I love his little face!

Hillcrest Dance Festival

Image
Each grade level performs a dance routine for the dance festival. It's quite the program. The preschoolers did "Little Pig Blues". The 1st graders did an African dance which, by the way, has become a family favorite. KC and his buddy Micah Kylee and Katelin

Katelin's Dance Recital

Image
Confidance Club had their spring recital. Katelin was in three dances. She was a cutie pie. My mom, dad, and Reba came down to watch. The audience The performance Aren't we all a handsome bunch... (Here's to better pictures in the future!)

Big Boy Bed

Image
It is time. I didn't want it to happen until several months from now, but Kanyon protested. Protested quite loudly two nights in a row. He wanted to sleep by Katelin and KC! So I put his bed together. Miraculously he stays in his bed and is a good boy! He even puts himself in there at nap time. None of them want to have their own room. They all insist being together. If I were Katelin I would be all over my own room... I don't know how I feel about my baby boy growing up. I guess I'll have a new baby soon. Time, please slow down...

Special Day

Image
KC is lucky to go to the preschool at the local elementary school. It's five days a week for three hours. It's free. What's not to love? Every few weeks the preschool kids have a "special day" where they are the line leader, bell ringer, and person with show-and-tell. They also bring a snack and their mom. Being there make me want to teach that class. I really enjoy helping out at the school. Today was KC's last special day before school ends. I captured the moments. They are dear to me and probably boring for most. My boy will be in Kindergarten! Miss Sylvia Miss Lynn KC and mama Kelly KC talking and getting ready for show and tell.
