The Polar Express

We took the boys to a train festival in Hamburg Saturday. Turns out this is the train they used to make the Polar Express Movie. Noah and Dylan have watched this movie about 25 times since we got it a week ago. They were so excited! My friend Kristi and her boys Brady and Tyler met us there. Sorry again Kristi about the short notice I gave you!

Here are a couple pics I snapped of Olivia today. She won the beautiful baby contest in our town last week. What a cutie!!

So since Adam got me my new camera and lens I love photography more than ever. I enjoy taking pictures and editing them. I have been up until at least midnight almost every night playing around in photoshop. This week I got set up to print through a professional lab! So am I opening a business? I guess I am...it's more of a hobby BUT I am getting a little bored with taking pictures of just my kids! I don't think they mind though. : )

What a cutie!

I took a few minutes over the weekend and took some pictures of our neighbor girl. The boys call her "B" and love playing with her. I had fun taking her pictures and editing them!

I have the best husband!

Adam gave me my birthday present a day early. He got me a new camera!! I have wanted this camera since I started getting into photography. It's a Canon 5D mark II! I can already see a big difference from my Rebel. Can't wait to learn more about the settings and what my new camera can do. It even shoots video in HD 1080p!

THEN on the way home from my mom's house he says "I hope you like your other present as much as the camera." WHAT? Another present? I was beyond thrilled with the camera! He also ordered me a 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens!! It will be here in the morning. It's being over nighted.

Little did I know Adam drove to Grand Rapids today to get my Camera. The Lens is on back order on a lot of sites but he found one! What a great guy I have! I am so lucky!

I would also like to thank my family for celebrating my birthday with me tonight. It was a fun little party.

TrainFest 2009

We took the boys to a steam engine fest over the weekend. They loved it and are still talking about it! Thomas and Geo Tracks are some of their favorite toys so we knew they would like to see all the trains up close. We also took them on their first train ride. It was 45 minutes long. They thought that was really neat. They were really good the whole time. Noah liked sitting in his own seat and looking out the window. Dylan liked to go for a walk up front so he could look out the side of the train where there were no windows. Here are some pictures I took that day....

I'm still working on editing pictures from the last two trips up north! I love editing and can spend way too much time on one picture! The first picture is Dylan. Second is Noah. Third picture was taken in Holland and the last one is Grand Haven.
