Zac got the opportunity to go to Logan for the The Bay Area Top 8 for high school and represent for the Special Olympics which will be taking place in May at Amador Valley High School. All the special Olympians ran the 50 meter during the meet and Coach Webb presented all the Olympians. Coach Webb bragged about all of Zac's gold medals and Zac got to say his own name over the intercom. It was really fun and the weather was freezing cold. Zac also got a free shirt and he got to wear it the next day. Zac can't wait for the Special Olympics and he can't wait for everyone to come down and see him kick some butt. GO ZAC!!!
Here's the info on the Special Olympics:
When: May 3rd, 2008
Where: Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton (1155 Santa Rita Rd
Pleasanton, CA 94566).
Time: Events start at 9:30, but we aren't sure when Zac's event start.
Events: Zac's doing the 10 and 25 meter wheelchair race and the softball throw.
Zac's on the UC Lightning team and the colors are basically red, so wear red to support the team and Zac. I don't know if it costs anything to go in, so bring some money just in case.

Here we come Germany!!!!!
Well, we finally did it.....we booked our tickets to go to Germany!!! We are leaving on August 5th to the 20th. We weren't sure if we should do it but we thought that if we don't do it now then we probably won't know when it'll happen.
We will be flying into Frankfurt and we will be going from there to the areas that Tanya served her mission in and other areas as well. Tanya has a lot of family history there on her mom's side. Omi Kaethe is from Germany and she has an unbelievable story about her life because she was there during the time of WWII.
We can't wait to go and we thank mom and dad for making it possible for us and watch our girls for those 2 weeks. It's going to be hard for us to leave them, but we know that mom and dad will be great with them and our girls will have tons of fun. They might not even know who we are when we come back. Just playing. We will take lots of pictures for everyone to see our fun trip. Wish us luck!!!

The Mornings
Every morning when Malia wakes up she comes downstairs and plays with these Fisher Price Little People that her Omi bought for all the dis for whenever they come over, but Malia has the privilege of playing with them everday. Malia has so much fun with them and she has this routine where she gathers them all together and organizes them to face the same way or something like that but she gets really creative with them. Afterwards, she throws them all on the ground and then has one of us pick them up with her while she sings the "clean up" song. She is so cute and fun.
Eliza tries to keep up with her and they are so good together. Malia is a great big sister and they love each other. We were a little worried at first but after seeing them together they are a team. Hopefully it stays like that for the rest of their lives.

Arizona Trip
For me, it was the first time that my brothers and I have been together since our '94 family reunion and I was about 13 years old then. Now that we're all adults no one can talk to the other as if they were too young, so it was more meaningful to be with one another. The first night that we got there my brothers and I all went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse and we just had a good laugh. We laughed and talked about our dad, Lui, who just passed away last year October. We were probably the loudest crowd there. It was an unforgettable evening of brothers just hanging out.
Easter was the highlight for the kids because they got to have an early halloween start. They got to eat all the candies they wanted and they sure did take advantage of that, especially Malia because she is the worst candy feine (not sure if that is spelled right) since we got home. The ladies hid candies downstairs and outside and then the kids went to work. They had tons of fun.
The trip was so much fun for us.
We are glad to be back home in the bay area and this is where we will be 'til we feel that the Lord wants us to go elsewhere. We'll go where he wants us to go.Here's are some pics that we took in Arizona. Enjoy.

Kennedy Park
We went to Kennedy Park last weekend and it was a gorgeous day. It was 85 degrees and now were back to our cold weather for some funky reason. We're back to 60's and it's been windy on top of that.
Malia had a blast at the park. She got to ride on a train, ride on a pony, go on the merry-go-round, and jump in a bouncer that they called a "tiger bounce", but was actually a castle. Don't ask me why. She also got to pet some animals in the miniature petting zoo. She had a blast. Eliza had a blast too and she kept wanting to get down and join her sister but she isn't walking yet on her own. I'm sure she can't wait 'til that day when she is able to keep up with Malia.
There's a couple pictures where Malia just looks disgusted and it's because she got tired of riding on the pony and the faces that she made were priceless. Enjoy the slideshow.
