Finally it has arrived!!! I have waited for this game for so long and it has finally reached Singapore shores @ Bugis Arcade on the 28th of March(Saturday). Props to Don for the sudden info on Saturday night LOL. Went with Don on a Sunday to test the game out and found out that it definitely has the Guilty Gear feel to it. Its a no brainer thingy as its from Arc System works. Not to mention the soundtrack for the game, has a very distinctive precence of Daisuke Ishiwatari. Heavy metal with fast riffs compliment such games so damn well. That is what makes me love such games. It's time to re-ignite the passion for Guilty Gear by playing its successor, BlazBlue. It is definitely worth being called the future of 2d fighting games. Screw SF4 LOL!!!

Now on to the characters (personal ratings are just based on first impressions, not how broken or imbalance-ness in regards to playability in the game):

Ragna - The BloodEdge -

Fans from Guilty Gear would immediately say "this is a fucking sol proto-type!". Well, design wise, all I can say that it is a hybrid of Dante(DMC) and Sol(GG). Mix them and you get this cool looking character. Well he indeed is the main character, therefore coolness need to be @ 100.

Personal rating: 9/10
Justification: i'm a sucker for such characters. Not to mention he has cool moves with a badass sword. Wielder of ROFL - Blackish purplish crimson red blood. Awesome! :)

Jin Kisaragi

Ky Kiseke Clone anyone? The color scheme and dress imediately gave me a "wah lao Ky" impression. Not to mention his hair style is so Xiah Junsu-ish LOL. Typical character that fangirls like to pick.

Personal Rating: 6/10
Justification: Hairstyle is pretty alright. Clothings wise pretty standard. Gives the very "holy" look, together with the color scheme. Sword is like a carbon copy of Ky's sword, just a tad uglier. Doesn't appeal to me much. Worst thing is that he has the power of ice imbued on his moves. Sibei Toushiro(Bleach). LOL

Noel Vermillion

If you notice, the clothings are quite similar to Jin's, because she is under his supervision in the storyline of BlazBlue. I prefer this costume design better. She looks so damn hot in that skirt LOL!! Hybrid of Bridget(GG) and Sion(MB) in my opinion. Utilizes a gun style named Bullet Dance. Nice.

Personal Rating: 9/10
Justification: Well balanced body, nice hairstyle, sexy guns, a cute face, wonderful total package. What else is there to dislike?

Carl Clover

Hybrid of Harry Potter and Great Detective Conan. LOL!!! I'm more interested in the puppet behind Carl. Could be played like Eddie(GG) I guess. Pretty generic character design, not really appealing.

Personal Rating: 5/10
Justification: As of now, the character just looks boring. I dont really like characters that has a "magician" feel to it. Probably it's because of the top hat. The only redeeming factor of this character is the puppet.

Iron Tager

In every fighting game, a huge ass character will be present. Like Juggernaught from the Marvel fighting series or Zangief from SF. Iron Tager here is the huge mother fucker in the game. As expected, he is a grappler in the game, being able to grab you and slam you. Not to mention this fucker can combo off a grab, sounds imba to me. Hybrid of Potemkin(GG) and Hulk(Marvel) in my opinion, with a light dash of orange food colouring.

Personal Rating: 7/10
Justification: His face is pretty funny looking. None the less, pretty cool looking with those huge arm thingys. Huge muscles wont really go wrong :)

Rachel Alucard

The gothic loli in the game. Notice the inverted cross on the skirt? Damnit. LOL. Hybrid of Shinku/Suigintou(Rozen Maiden) with a Deviruchi(RO).

Personal Rating: 8/10
Justification: Gothic loli dresses rarely go wrong in anime/doujin style fighters. Costume color is appealing. Very unique "WTF" looking neko umbrella. Gotta give points for that.

Taokaka

Sick looking neko girl design LOL. Has a very Felicia(Darkstalkers) look to it. Cats and claws go hand in hand. This is the fucking character that beat my Ragna the first day I tried the game @ Bugis. Even Don was pissed ROFL. light punch light punch light punc, NGIAO NIGAO. BERSEKER BARRAGE!!! LOL. Hybrid of Felicia and Wolverine.

Personal Rating: 8/10
Justification: She has a nice mask, simple yet attractive LOL. Claw design is pretty unique in its own way. Don tells me that behind the costume and mask, hides a gorgeous girl with a voluptuous body. For real ?

Bang Shishigami

Ninjas. Hmm, this dude reminds me of Haoumaru and Galford combined(Samurai Showdown). What really stands out in this character is his weapon. A Huge ass nail. WTF man LOL. Oh yeah, add Hibiki(SF:3s) into the Hybrid as well. Check those pants.

Personal Rating: 7/10
Justification: A nail as a weapon is really WTF LOL. Very funny looking face, reminds me abit of Dan(SF) LOL. Overall quite generic looking. I can only remember one of his move's names when he shouts on execution. "Shuriken Special!"

Arakune

Now this is the WTF. A slime blob with one anorexic catabolic skeleton arm and a mask that looks so ROFL. Hybrid of Shuma Gorath(Marvel) and any random Hollow(Bleach). Believe this or not, this character here is TOP TIER.

Personal Rating: 4/10
Justification: very WTF design. Mask looks very bleach-ish. Only redeeming factor that this character is TOP TIER.

Litchi Faye Ling

Another mega Hottie in the game. This character would definitely turn fanboys heads as she pummels the fuck out of you. Hybrid of Jam(GG) and Shion(KOF XI). Currently Don's obsession.

Personal Rating: 9/10
Justification: Very Hot looking in the costume. Girls in specs will always win. Very very nice hairstyle, not to mention the boobs. Killer character. Makes guys go crazy everywhere, at least for me :D

Hakuman

One of the unlockable bosses. The sword is the first thing that caught my eye. Simple yet nice. His/her fighting stance and posture is very cool. Worth a try in the game. Hybrid of Justice(GG) and ???

Personal Rating: 7/10
Justification: This dude has a very cool mask, simple yet cool sword and pretty stylo hair. Nice cyborg-ish feel given to the char.

V-13 / Nu

Another one of Don's current favorites. Cyborg babe is here for invasion! Anoteher one of the unlockable bosses in the game. You wouldn't want to mess with her in game, I can assure you that.

Personal Rating: 7/10
Justification: Girls with cyborg wings = win. Mechanized costume fused with tight latex/rubber suits on girls = instant win.

The publicity buzz for MBC Cinderella Man has started rolling with the release of some slick stylish looking promo poster/pictures of the main cast comprising of Kwon Sang Woo, Song Chang Ui, Han Eun Jung and Girls' Generation member Im YoonA.

The pictures tied in very well with the concept of the drama which revolves around the bustling Dongdaemun Fashion Town, Asia's biggest fashion industry cluster and is about the stories of youths chasing their dreams and their lifestyles. The drama has been billed the modern tale of the Prince and the Pauper because of the disparity in wealth and status between the two characters played by Kwon Sang Woo. Filming is currently underway and will make its premiere in the Wed-Thus timeslot on 15th April.

Judging from my k-drama experience, this 3 will be locked in a love triangle

On the Come to Play Girls Special with KARA and SNSD, the girls had a section for 2009 Girl Awards. Basically, surveys from male boy groups were taken and there was an award for each category. For example, there were questions like "Who is most open-minded" or "Which girl have you liked at least once?". Because the male groups were DBSK, SS501, Super Junior, Big Bang, FT Island, Shinee and 2PM, it attracted a lot of interest.

The award for the best comic talent was awarded to Soo Young. The boys explained their reasoning for their decision too. Super Junior mentioned, "We think she probably practices her individual skills on her own", while FT Island explained that "We knew that ever since she filmed the sitcom (Unstoppable Marriage)", and DBSK said, "This friend is really fun to be around and has that special something that makes her stand out". Soo Young replied, "I'll work even harder so that I won't fall short of everyone's expectations!"

For the award of most charming girl, Han Seung Yeon was picked ahead of Tiffany and Jessica. DBSK explained, "Because of her smiling eyes, we think she'll do well at the give-and-take game". Seung Yeon accepted it, "I'll take it that it means I'm charming".

For the open-minded and bad-tempered category, Kara's Gu Hara and Girls' Generation's Jessica were picked from among the nominated candidates.

And for the one that the fan girls were really watching out for was the winner of the "which girl have you liked at least once?" award. This one went to Tae Yeon of Girls' Generation and I can see why. She's been showing a lot of her cute side through We Got Married and I'm sure it has a lot to do with the ranking. Tae Yeon revealed that "Something that was completely unexpected has just occurred. Thank you. I love you!".

Girls Generation dressed up in fresh, white dresses to attend the announcement of the drink they had helped promote. To congratulate the opening of this new product, Girls Generation proceeded to take pictures with the drink and introduce the product. Unfortunately, Yoona was unable to join the girls because she was busy filming her new drama "Cinderella Man". The girls will finish their Gee activities this week by attending Music Bank on the 27th, Show! Music Core on the 28th and Inkigayo on the 29th.

From what I read about the drink, it's targeted to the female consumers as it is said that the drink is good for a girl's skin.So girls, try to get your hands on a bottle if you can. LOL
