Finally, "A Queen's Ransom" on DVD
I totally missed that this Jimmy Wang Yu/George Lazenby-movie finally had reach the glorious format of DVD. It's been on VCD for a while, but I've been waiting for the DVD to show up from Fortune Star. So today I sponsored DDDHouse with 40 HK dollars :)

Today's shopping - part 2!
Okey, it's been a hard month without movies... so here is what I ordered after my first shopping-spree this morning.
From eThaiCD.com, an excellent site by the way, I got not more than four thai "kaiju"-movies!
Yuk Wat Jang Pob Jumbo A
Hanuman VS 5 Masked Riders
The Noble War
Hanuman VS 7 Ultraman
All of these are directed by Sompote Sands, which sounds like a filmmaker in my taste. Read more about his work at Wise Kwai and at Die, DAnger, Die, Die, Kill!
Today's shopping
A couple of thai-movies from ThaiCDexpress.com, check their homepage for more info about these movies:
Phom mai yak pen phan
Unhuman
Aowasaan In See Dang
Talum Bon
Tah tian
Meu Peun: Remastered Edition
Phra rod mae ree
All of them, except Unhuman, are vintage thai genre-movies - mostly action and a two monster/sci-fi movies. And only two of them has english subtitles to. But what the f**k, I need them. I think so anyway.
From Play.com I also bough Tidal Wave, the big budget South Korean disaster-movie. Looks like good old disaster-fun.
As usual DDDhouse offered some nice movies to:
Village of Eight Gravestones
Beach of the War Gods
Portrait in Crystal
So far today it's only been asian movie, so we'll see what happens during the rest of the day :)

Today's shopping!
I couldn't help myself today, because I was meeting a friend in town and it usually means that I spend money on movies. Today I spent 500 kronor on these movies:
The Trip
- Great movie, and another proof of Cormans genius!
Watchmen 2 disc special edition (bluray)
- It costed 79 kr. And I think the movie is brilliant.
The Andromeda Strain
- The mini-series. Jocke liked it, so I guess I will appreciate it to :)
Inju - The Geisha Killer
- By Barbet Schroeder and sounded interesting.
Outlander
- Ok, it costed 25 kr! It must be good for that amount of money ;)
The Midnight Meat Train
- I must in the collection!
Long Weekend
- An aussie-classic that I haven't seen yet.
Death Ship
- The nice UK-release.
Road Games
- Another aussie-movie, this time with Jamie Lee Curtis and Stacy Keach.

Today's shopping!
I didn't order so much today, just one movie from Play.com, but bought more dvds in the city after work:
Snuff-Movie
- Hate this title, and the working title (Man with a Movie Camera) was much better. It's an indie-production shot by Bernard Rose which seems interesting.
The Fox Family
- South Korean musical (!) it seems about a group of fox-people! I'm not sure what it is, but it was cheap and the cover was nice.
The Greatest American Hero Season One
- The only reason why I bought this is because of nostalgia. And it was fucking cheap.
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
- The ABUS-version for 50 kr. Long time since I saw the movie, so it will be fun to revisit.
The Krays
- Some british crime-drama. Nice 2-disc edition.
The Chain Reaction
- Ozploitation from the eighties in a nice special edition from Umbrella. Found this by chance in a second hand shop.
Tears of Kali
- Another blind buy. Have no idea if it's worth 69 kr.
Tooth and Nail
- Post-apocalyptic movie from the After Dark-project. Heard it's crap, but it could be interesting to.
Fear Dot Com
- Yes, I really dig this movie.
Serenity
- Haven't seen it, so it was time.
Millennium Season Two
- I have nothing bad to say about this show and I need to start on season two now.
That's it folk!

Today's shopping!
I went to town to buy new shoes (I went to Stadium, walked right in and took the cheapest pair of black shoes there was) and then I bought some dvds to:
Der Bader-Meinhof Komplex
- Sure, it's probably a fantastic drama there. But I just want to get that seventies feeling and some squibs.
Martyrs
- Haven't seen it yet, so it's probably time.
Rovdyr
- Some overhyped norwegian backwoods-slasher I guess.
The Burrowers
- I bought it mostly because Jocke mentions it everyday at msn. So this is an effective way to keep him quiet ;)
Hell's Heroes
Bridge to Hell
Apocalypse Mercenaries
Warbus II
- A cheap crappy collection that I felt belonged in my collection.
The Last days of Pompeii
- The team from the original King Kong makes a disaster-movie! Count me in!
Choke Canyon
- Fun action that I haven't seen for ages.
Bloodmoon
- Martial arts with Gary Daniels.
I also got two bootlegs as a gift from my favorite shop:
Un Condé
- French crime.
Joanna
- Have no idea what this is, but Donald Sutherland is in it. So that makes it interesting.

Today's shopping orgy!
Yeah, it's pay-day and I've started to spend the little money I have on dvds! It's a lot of action and adventure:
Trapped
- Backwoods-adventure-thriller with Henry Silva!
Stunt Rock
- Action directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith!
Day of the Panther
- Action directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith!
Strike of the Panther
- Action directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith!
The Man from Hong Kong
- Action directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith!
Blindman
- Italian western with Ringo Starr!
Stoner
- Shaw Brothers-action with George Lazenby!
Blood Money
- Shaw Brothers-western directed by Antonio Margheriti!
Icon's of Scifi - The Toho Collection
- Three classics from the master Inoshiro Honda!
Plaguers
- Monsters in space!
American Cyborg
- A guilty pleasure of mine, and I'm not ashamed of it!
I think that's all... :)

Today's shopping
It's hard to have vacation. Just sitting around, being lazy, watching movies, drinking something cold, watching more movies and buying movies.
Today I went into town to spend some money. As usual I didn't have a clue what to get, but this is what it finally came down to:
The Giant Behemoth
- As a fan of giant monster movies, I haven't seen this one! I should be ashamed. I heard it's not the best, but fuck it. As long as there is a monster in it.
The Chairman
- Gregory Peck escapes EVIL communist China! Directed by the great J. Lee Thompson. Sounds great and I expect a lot of americans with lousy china-make up.
Heaven's Soldier's
- Sounds exactly like another remake of G.I Samurai - but korean. Maybe is good. I don't know.
Door to Silence
- The Gorefathers last movie. Heard it's shit, but I don't care. I need to have it.
Hitch-Hike
- Franco Nero, David Hess and Corinne Clery - can't be bad.
Werewolf Shadow
- I have to little Naschy-flick in my collections, so I decided to invest in this one. Cheap to.
