Just came back from SL. Goodness, today was like terrible la. Melissa( another, not the noisy one on my tagboard) =) =) and i were trying to teach this P4 girl how to lob pass and i tink we took about 1 1/2 hour tring to teach a simple lob pass. OMG!

Then i fell down TWICE today. Its so embarrasing. In front of the P4s. Dunno why, but i couldn't balance when doing the reverse turns. Okay,the 2nd time i fell went unnoticed, but it hurts. I like scraped my palm and knees and am having this terrible cold. I hope to get well, by thursday before the trip.

Aaargh, i dun really want to leave on this thurs. Its the day Chicken Little pemieres and netball chalet is on fri. Aaargh, i'm going to miss so much fun.
I'm missing 39/05 and especially you guys.

All right, i'm complaining here, and i tink its the fault of this digusting irksome flu bug that keeps pestering me. Ha, anyways, today is a special day, cos its YOUR birthday. Though you are in some province in Thailand now doing CIP.

I started packing my stuff today for the trip which is like on this coming thurs. Realised that i needed more winter clothing, so went Ngee Ann city. Hahas, bought lots of winter wear at Zara, and boots too. How rad! Ha, tink daddy's going broke after all three of us bought so much stuff.

Going to fix my hair and face tomolo too after SL. Time really flies and 2005 is like ... gone without you really noticing it. Shucks! Getting real stressed up. Haven't done any homework at all. Err, how about having completed 6 math qns? All right, i know i shouldn't be bitching about homework like in the holidays, but after the trip and chalets and stuff, i'm left with like only a few days for that mountainous pile of homework, mostly comprising of insanely perplexing math problems, monotonous sentences of econs and ridiculously challenging gp. I seriously felt all the gp homework to be a waste of time. All those research and reading and newspaper analysis on various topics are going to be wasted when we are like going to pick and concentrate on only 2 topics for the As. And i'm sure as hell not going to write essays on different kinds of religions like Judaism or buddhism, or on different kinds of governments like monarchy or despotism or whatever. By the way, can we resell those newsweek magazines? I barely touched them, and they are still in their prime condition, in their original transparent bags. So, any takers for newsweek?

I've also caught the flu bug. Ironically after taking the flu jab. Oh well, the jab needed a week to take effect. So poor unfortunate me am sneezing my nose off, stucking rolled pieces of tissue into my nostrils and coughing badly. How fantastic!
Hey, one piece of good news though, Rome on HBO totally rocks. The show's supposed to be about intrigue, betrayal, love, politics and sex. Though its severly censored. The greatest amount of skin i've seen is probably the belly. Oh yah, by the way, did anyone watch the MTV of madonna. Just realised that she's got pretty large thighs, well, those muscular kind.

I shuddered to think that mine could be worse than hers. And possibly even with cellulite. After all, dear jo** with that immaculately trim figure has them. LOL!

Had SL today. The kids are all very slack today, just refused to move. Had many casualties today, but tink mostly fake la. All those tricks, as if i had never tried them in my long entire life of 17 yrs. Haha, ok, can't really blame them, i'm quite a slacker too. Had lunch with jolyn and aileen, realised that they are quite nice.

Oh wells, finally got to watch harry potter. It so rocks my socks!
Haha, though i think that Krum looked like a monk and cedric wasn't like really very handsome. Hermione was lovely and Cho was pretty and has that scottish accent. The Weasely twins and Ron were cute too. Ha, mad-eye moody and malfoy (the ferret)were cool as well. But harry can't act. I almost wanted to cry when he transported cedric's body back, but my tears got sucked back when that Radcliffe guy tried to act like he's grieving...

Oh well, after the movie, undergo an intensely excruciating, mentally exhausting and morale breaking experience. Shall tok about it when i succeed. Haha, that's all folks!

Hee hee, today pon SL. For training. But didn't go for training too. BUT that's because just went for the flu jab and the doc said no exercise. Whee hee, i'm such a slacker.

Slept till 12 then went to meet up with vandy, huilin, mingfen and sharon. Went to shop and eat. Haha, today was so funny. Kept on laughing.

Oh yah, i took the wrong train which travelled in the wrong direction when going to orchard. Ended up in Admiralty and thank god , i'm considered to be alert at that point of time. And discovered my mistake like after only 3 stations. Ha, its not the first time, i always take the wrong train. Haha, what an idiot i am.


Ha,and yipee yays! I finally received my birthday pressies from vandy and linlin. Because dear old linlin always forgets to bring stuff and yes, she forgotten to bring that cd today. Er, even though its november now. Haha, okay la, but you all treated me to a rather sumptuous birthday lunch ages ago at the right time. =)

Yays, Its a Pooh bear and a notebook. ( Yes, stop saying i molest that bear and mingfen, stop tempting me with ice-cream!) I love them! They are gorgeous and thank you for the cards you guys made as well. They are great! Yeah, minyi rocks! Haha.

I'm such a slacker. Haven't start on a single piece of homework yet. But seriously, there's no time for homework. Everyday seemed to be spent outside. There's more SL tomolo and on fri. Haizzz, there's so much homework, i seriously have to start on them soon. Hmmm, maybe this weekend. Ha, or is there anyone kind enough to lend me their finished tutorials. *hint hint ( ha, i know you finished functions and numerical methods) haha.

Whew, i thought i lost my handphone, but it was with Joei all along. Ha, that forgetful girl, play until she forgot about it and brought it home. I really felt pangs of panic when i thought i lost it.But that's because there's some important stuff in that phone, at least to me.

I shall let you in on one of my small little secrets. i have something abt deleting my smses. bet you'll think its quite weird for smses to have sentimental value of any sort..but yeah, i try to keep as many of them as i can, till my inbox is flooded and i cant receive any more smses. then i'll look through them and sort them out, mentally sorting them under a "My happy file" and the rest i'll delete them.

i like reading through all these saved messages. on the train ride home, when im alone and bored, i'll take the hp out, and read them. it makes my day, really (: various msges fr various people, spanning truout the entire year. there's the "ponning school tomolo?", then the "going for training?.." , " Hope you get 100 marks for promos", "Have fun in Thailand!" etcetc...there are the complaints of old classmates abt their new jc, invitations to pon lectures,outings, kboxing..i mean, u get the idea. basically i save everything that makes me smile, makes me feel loved and happy and blessed to be in this world where everyone in the world cares.
sometimes i save sad messages too. just as a reminder not to commit tt same mistake again..
it's pretty interesting when you read the saved msges, and look back at how things turned out. its like looking back at photos. it helps u recall the sequence of events and things that happened, and how u've grown from then to what u are presently. when you read them, you think abt how you felt at that point of time,and what the outcome was. and then it makes u reflect whether or not the what you felt then was worth the while, or whether or not you did the right thing at that point of time.
but theres a limit to the no. of msges the phone can store. 150?? im constantly deleting some here, some there. its hard to choose which to delete smtimes, since all mean smthing to me. right now it reached its limit again. i have that blinking msg-box--pic-thing indicating to me tt my mailbox is full. but i cant find anymore msges tt i can bear to delete. i was even thinking of copying them out in my journal so tt i can delete them! but no la, im not that mad. maybe i'll close my eyes and mindlessly press the delete button so tt i wont know what im deleting :) i hope tt doesnt sound like nonsense.
its quite disgusting isnt it? the extent of it. why am i doing this? is it a bad thing? its painfully childish keeping small little remnants of the past..not to mention, a waste of time. i never like letting memories fade- be it good or bad; its like im clinging on to something. its almost pathetic. i keep wanting to keep the good times alive in my mind, just in case the future isnt so pretty as the past. perhaps, on days when you are down, memories of the good times before will give you the strength to keep on going? (btw, does it make me optimistic or pessimistic then?) oh, i dont know how to put it, does it make sense to you??


I think memories are the sort of stuff that makes you who you are right now. and yeah, i will treasure each and everyone of them.
People come and go. Those whom you love changes sometimes and some left, or just drifted away. Yeah, we all know the fact that nothing lasts forever. So when the need to end comes, you just gotta let it go. Though, there's no need to be sad. Memories are kept alive. At least there's still the smses, emails, tags, greeting cards and what-nots.

Wheee, i'm back from Bangkok! Heehee, bought quite some stuff from there, cos well, things there are rather cheap. Ahahaha, i got a Mickey mouse watch from those street stalls, and i love it. *Muacks!
I got a manicure too, well, not really the whole works, just nail painting, and it cost only 2 dollars. Ahahaha, i chose the designs and guess what they are? Ha, i've got the face of a dog on five of my fingers on the left and a pig's face on the right hand. Ahaha, they are so cute and lovely and gorgeous! I luurrrvvvee my nails. *Muacks, muacks, muacks!*

We had service learning today at the Citikids academy at Chinatown point. Wow, these K1, K2 kids rocks! Ha, unlike those primary school kids with attitude. Ahaha, shall torture them these thurs and fri. Ha, but i will be super nice to the little kids and the babies. They are really strong and beautiful, and vivacious and gregarious, full of life and spunk.

Ha, then they needed someone CREATIVE to create a birthday chart. I got picked!!!

Ha, I think i got picked because i was playing Yu-gi-Ho with the kids, slacking away, ha.
Yah, then i finally got a CREATIVE idea and yeah, really thanks to everyone who helped with the colouring and drawing and stuff. =)
I think that birthday chart was really lovely. We should have one for our class too.

Yeah, today was pretty fun though really really exhausting. I think looking after kids is more tiring than running 10 rounds. After reaching home, i just dropped dead on to the sofa and fell asleep. But it was fun! I love those kids.

Been eating and shopping the whole day. My poor legs are numb from walking too much and my intestines felt stretched from eating too much. And oh yes, i forgot to bring my toothbrush and floss and the orthodonthic stuff for cleaning the braces. Great memory i have. And i have been reminding myself to remember to bring them.

Gee, shall go about with very dirty teeth for 3 days. Haha, still got the trusty old toothbrush provided by the hotel la.

Ha, i'm starting to miss Singapore already and i'm here for barely 24 hours. Haha, i miss chowchow a little too. She won't be here waking me up by jumping on me and licking my face.

I had a great day today. Of all the happy days this week, i've a very happy day today. Two large chunks of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate works wonders. Haha, nah. Its not the chocolate(and nothing really special has happened)...
I just love my life. I really really do. =)

Today super tiring! Had training in the morning, then went J8 for lunch then to townsville primary for netball SL.

Haha, when we got there, they are having their break and it was really very noisy. All the kids, okay, not exactly little kids, they range from primary 3 to 5, their skills are pretty good. Some are very enthu and hyper but some quite feirce and 'dao'. It was quite okay, teaching them, but still got 7 more SL sessions to go. Will try to survive these little monsters.

Tomolo also super tiring. Got peer tutoring and SL then got to pack my luggage. Great, saw my tutee just now who told me that she can't go for tomolo's peer tutoring because of VA stuff. =(

Wheee, today is a great day, felt it a satisfying one. Today is what I call a right balance of work, play and home life.

Had CDP in the morning, its quite fun, yeah, then had math peer tutoring. Oh my God, its the 2nd session and i still haven't see my tutee yet. Ha, i ended up doing my own stuff and helping with a few questions. Can you believe it? More tutors turn up than tutees.

Ha, after that went to Ngee Ann city with daddy, mummy and xinyi. Haha, xinyi and i bought a skirt and a top each. I seriously think that the length of the skirt is okay, but daddy kept saying its too short and said no one wears that back when he's young. Ok, i get that, its more than 20 years since he's young. Haha, but he's in a rather good mood tonight and being real sweet. Ha, guess that's because he gets to come out for dinner. He also shopped for a pair of loafers and Oh my God, he's worse than us, i mean the women. He took more than an hour to choose 1 pair, and that is from a rather small selection, well, small compared to the ladies.

Yikes, just found out that Harry Potter and Goblet of fire outing is changed to 22nd November which is the 2nd day of SL.
Arrrrggghhhh! Next week is also fully packed, got to be in school almost everyday.
Hey, its the holidays man, we are SUPPOSED to be going out and not to school everyday.

I can't wait for this friday, ha, will be flying to Thailand for a weekend getaway.

Haven't been blogging these few days, cos been out everyday, but i've got to note down friday.

Haha, went to Bugis for a ramen dinner... Tink there are 9 of us. We were sharing ramen and octopus and prawns. haha, vanda loves biting off the octopus' heads before chewing on their legs or rather tentacles off. After that, she and mingfen and i bought a cake before sneaking off to Esplanade first. We then celebrate Huilin's birthday by the bay at the Esplanade. Ha, she was really surprised.
Yipee yays, haven't had a successfully planned surprise for a very long time.

Anyway, it was really beautiful there, the night view, with the calm dark sea, the shiny white water-sprouting merlion, the majestic fullerton hotel and those tall buildings, then with the live band playing in the distance... yeah, it's really memorable. Haha, then we played the very sadistic game of scissors paper stone which requires a certain degree of mutilation for the loser. And yeah, my hand was red and hot and swollen after that and i counted 13 bruises. Ouch ouch!
Haha, also sang the 3 bears song with tina. haha, she's are really good at it, can even dance and sing as well, haha, free entertainment. =)

That's what i've been doing the entire weekend, alamak, haven't do maths peer tutoring stuff yet. Yikes, i can't let down my dear tutee. Fine, i shall start on it later.

Whew, next week is going to be real busy, math peer tutoring and thailand trip and Yes! training finally's starting next week. There will be netball service learning too and we are going to townsville primary school to teach the little kids or something. Haha, its going to be fun torturing those kids. Muahahaha, i shall make them run 10 rounds for warm up. =)

I think our group was fine though i thought i was rather NAQ.
Haha, nvm, its over. Well, went out with yi hsuan, pearlyn, cia ai and xavier to watch 'The exorcism of Emily Rose'. What a freaking scary show. I was hiding behind my bag and covering my face half the time. Haha, yi hsuan also. I was also shivering, but ha, that was mainly due to the cold.

The show was about the trial of a priest after a failed exorcism. Wow, Lawyers are so cool and their jobs are so challenging. You got to think on your feet and attack and defend at the same time with just your wits and tongue. Its just like playing a netball game except that its one on one and your evidence and stuff is your ball. Wow, that is so totally cool. Haha, anyway, back on track, emily was possesed and the kind old priest tried to exorcise the demons in her by saying prayers and sort. Well, something in that sow struck me.. They all seem to have some sort of faith well, maybe except that lawyer, wat's her name, erin i think. But she believed in the existence of God in the end.

I have no religion. I'm an atheist. But i'm afraid i will have no idols of worship to pray to, no priests or monks to turn to when someone around me or even myself is possessed one day. *touch wood

Do i need a religion in order to have faith? I have been to church, i went for sunday school, i used to pray and i still do sometimes now, when the going gets tough, i've read the bible, but that was until i was 10 or 11. Then i stopped visiting the church. That's because mommy and daddy were not believers in the first place. It was Aunt Jo, my favourite and most beloved aunt who influenced me and xinyi, who make us embrace that faith. I know xinyi prays too, sometimes, quitely.

Arrrgghh, this is so fustrating, when you have no identity, when the idols your parents worshipped are idols of fortune, fame and success.

Anyway, let me remain just who i am now, an atheist. But as someone who believes in hard work and love and yeah, confucian values as well.

There's so much stuff to blog about but poor minyi's feeling very sleepy now. Dunno why, but it just keep popping up in my mind. Lol, it was really fun and great,and yeah, I'm enjoying my jc life. There are so much stuff to be done this holiday and so little time. After subtracting overseas days and going back to school days and training and "a few" necessary rest days, there's like only about a week left for homework and there's so much homework. *Roars

Tomolo is OP. I'm pretty afraid of messing up the Q & A section and bursting out in laughter during the presentation when someone smiles or laughs at me especially joei and yi hsuan. Haha, Well good luck everyone for OP and show the invigilators from other schools the AJ might and zhonghua might!

Oh yah, xinyi received her confirmation that she had successfully gotten into the Integerated Programme. She got into the IP triple science programme. So that means she will be going to HCI and trust me, HCI squash will suffer. haha. Wow, i've got a really brillant sister, yeah, think the most brainy in the family. Sometimes, I had to ask her for help in math. Haha, thought i was the smartest, well, mommy often tell me that i'm the smartest in the family, but i think she's probably trying to comfort me. Haha, anyway, I am proud of her. Yeah, i really am.

I seriously dunno what i'm going back to school for. We did no presentation and give no feedback to any group.

I need to amend my statement in the previous post. I had said 'used to tink that our group is the most suay'. It should not be 'used to tink', we are still the suay-est group. I'm disgruntled with Gwen. She did not turn up today, even when she had promised. And this is not her first time. We are all trying to help her. Everything from the written report to the powerpoint slides to the speech, was beautifully and painstakingly done for her. She did nothing. And all she had to do is just to memorise that bloody speech and turn up on the OP day itself. She promised to turn up and finish this last stage of OP, so we relented and created a 5-speaker powerpoint presentation. Now, she takes no calls and don't even to bother to tell us if she still wants to come for OP. So we got to make amendments and recreate a 4-speaker powerpoint presentation. That's not the worst part. If Mr Cheng managed to contact her and if she's still keen to go for OP, we've got to make even more amendments. Last minute amendments with scarcely enough time for any rehearsals.

She is absolutely irresponsible. You may tink that i'm mean after reading this, but i seriously cannot stand the fact that her nonchalent and feckless atitude is going to cost us the project that we had so fastidiously worked on. I'm not censuring her, i'm just expressing my discontentment and restating a well-known fact. I seriously hope she would get to read this, even though she doesn't know about the existence of this blog.

Anyway, on a lighter note, i had great fun today. We ran and played basketball. Yi hsuan and I played ABC, and she won. Haha, didn't know she's so pro. Haha, shan't compliment her anymore. Ha, as for joei, haha, that one no need to say lah, she's super pro. I'm happy today.

Celebrated Noble's birthday today at the BBQ pit. Aunt Bee ordered catered food, so there was a wide array of tempting dishes spread out just like a buffet. And i ate just like i would in a buffet. *Gags*

Haha, but nvm, will be running with joei and yi hsuan tomolo.

We played blackjack during the party and wow, i was bankrupted. Lost about 8 bucks in total. Well, lost most of it to grandma, ha, i tink most of us lost most of it to her. But i dun mind, cos she was really happy after that. Haha, i would be really happy too, if i win a few hundred bucks in a night. Anyway, after bankrupting myself, with no money to continue, went off to shoot some hoops. My stamina is like so damn lousy. After 2 lay-ups and i'm left gasping for breath.

Haha, but nvm, will be running with joei and yi hsuan tomolo.

Anyway, that sister of mine bought more vcds today. She bought 'magdagascar' and 'the prince who turn into a frog' serial. She's such a spendthrift. In the short span of a week, tink she had spent like over a hundred bucks on vcds. Haha, not that i mind.

Anyway, just finish I & R and its 1:30AM now. PW totally sucks man... well, maybe except my group. Just realise that i'm starting to really like my group, haha, tink it must be due to the sandwich and muffin sessions. Used to tink that we are a very suay group, what with the gwen episode( an episode that's still running now :x)and always having the computer hang before we save our stuff and having to redo everything again. In fact, now i feel that our group totally rocks and is one of the best in class. And our project about cockroaches is a totally creative and refreshing idea.
