Hello all,
will be doing a mini review on make-up products that I currently use.
*please note that I'm not sponsored for any products reviewed here.*

A few friends of mine have asked me what make up do I use for certain occasions and how do I apply my foundation, what tools do I use and so on.
Okay first things first; I do not have perfect skin.
I have sensitive, acne prone skin, an oily T-zone and enlarged pores on one side of my nose and a little on my cheeks, blemishes and pitted acne scars from (2 years ago) on my cheeks.
I do not go out without heavy make up but I cannot have nothing covering my blemishes and scars.
*sad face*
Until today I'm still trying to find the best way to reduce my flaws without doing major damage to my skin. *emo-moment*
It took me awhile to find the right foundation for my crazy sensitive skin.
I've tried SO MANY and none worked or when I've finally decided to stick to one, they stopped selling/producing it.
-_- *sigh*
And only recently (last year) I've started using BB cream(s) (day time) but now that we have Sephora here, I could just buy and buy and buy lots of face products, make-up and lotions and perfumes..okay sorry-drifted off a little.
Last year, I was using CyberColours BB cream and it was not as good as what I was told, after applying the bb cream on my face I felt that it was just way too oily! Constant face blotting was needed too.
So I decided to change to this Korean brand Dr. G "Gowoonsesang Brightening Balm SPF30 PA++" and again, it did not work for my skin. It made my skin look like I had grey undertones with lots of shine, made me break out and gave me a dull complexion.
Then I came across this other korean BB cream by Dr. Lab "cell perfection repair balm".

This BB cream so far has been really good *touching lots of wood* to my sensitive skin and i'm currently on my 3rd 'bottle'.
A little goes a long way, it blends really well, give a matte finish but my nose still gets a little oily throughout the day with this bb cream (which is good as my face would usually be ridiculously shiny after a long day out with other brands, mentioned above).
What I love most about this product is that it does not make me look extremely pale or 'grey' and unlike some bb creams when applied, it does not have that 'sticky' feel.
Everyones skin is different so the current one I'm using may not work for everyone but perhaps the other brands would do wonders for your skin.
Best to always test the foundation/BB cream before buying. :D
Moving onto how I apply my foundation/BB cream :
My foundation routine's really simple though.
Don't like too many layers and if I have to layer it with a second coat of foundation my face will look like it's going to crack (might be the lack of moisture in the make up or the weather or my face on certain areas is just way too dry).
Sometimes when I'm just too lazy i'd use my fingers (cleaned with soap first of course) to apply all over my face and use a foundation sponge to lightly pat off the excess and blend into my skin.
On days when I feel like dolling up I use the sponge or my foundation brush.
After my face has been prepped up with bb cream or/foundation, i'd apply a little concealer
(I use L'oreal true match foundation in 'Nude Ivory" as my concealer for eyes/nose only)
and lightly pat it with a sponge or use my fingers to let it blend and set in.
Maybe it's weird that I'm using a different foundation as a concealer, but again- I searched high and low for the right foundation (night use) and this did not work out for my skin. The shade was a little too light and my flaws seemed more obvious with this.
But works really well as a concealer and highlighter..so yeah. (/_\)
After i'm done concealing the eye bags and highlighting the nose bridge, I set my face with MUFE's (Make Up For Ever) HD microfinish powder.
Using a powder brush or sometimes a kabuki brush I just pat this in the center of my face and then i add on my blusher or bronzer but if I'm heading out at night or until night time I'll apply a little eye shadow, line my eyes, fill in my brows, coat my lashes with 2 layers of mascara ( rarely use false lashes, if I have to i'll ask my boyfriend to help me out because I take at least an hour to just apply one false lash on one side of my eye -__- ) annnnnd voila- Finished. :)
Oh and I rarely use lipstick, only lip balm to keep my lips from cracking.
Alrighty, that's all for now.
If you have any questions or know a better way to apply foundation to help conceal flaws similar to mine, please do share it at the comment section below! :)
Have a great week ahead, readers!

ps :
Just bought myself a new foundation for night use by Smashbox.
Will review it in the next post. :D
