MRT = My Repulsive Trainride

Woah!

Sunturday nite.. daddy went wandering around compasspt at abt 8 to 9pm.. so bored.. then what happened next.. was..'unthinkable'.. what he told me and cody.. he walked passed the MRT station and boarded the MRT.. and headed all the way to the end.. harbourfront.. he was like a kid lah.. stupid one.. i think it has been a long while since he took a train.. well, this was what he described..

the train... the seats were pink and blue! the head of the train... the shape also changed already.. to a sharper nose. the train was quite empty ... was abt 9pm when he boarded.. UNTIL... it came to Little India... suddenly ALOT of people came in lor.. then theres this man.. he .. lifted his armpit where daddy was sitting.. and he had 2 bags of god knows what.. rotting vege or somethin.. wah liao.. kinda spoiled his ride lah.. ggeezzz.. the person got off at outram..by then, next stop is already harbourfront lor.. reached harbourfront.. also kinda regret.. about 935pm.. every shop also closed or closing liao.. no where to walk walk.. just walk 1 round around the place, bought breadtalk.. he also dunno y he buy for what.. he doesnt really like breadtalk.. till today (monday), he haven finish them.. can throw liao... y din he feed us with it ah? so wasteful.. gimme now, i also dun want. yucks.. juz tot he din wanna waste the trip there, tats y he bought them... but so stupid lor.. compasspoint also got breadtalk mah.. then took the train ride back .. waste time, waste money.. in all, he spent 1 hr travelling.. this time round, no place to sit. daddy thinks its people who take from city towards harbourfront, then go back up towards punggol. in that way, they will have seats. so stand lor.. this time round, no smelly men.. but got some nerdish kids.. wah liao.. cannot tahan.. talk about giving names to guitars? eerr.. ok.. the whole trip keep toking abt tat.. repeat telecast 3 times.. esp this guy who daddy thinks wanna show off to the girl... there were 3 guys in the grp, 1 girl. all nerds. scared ppl in the train dunno the names of his 3 guitars, and the $1k guitar his grandmother bought him... haolianster..

reached compasspoint, bought Macs, then walk home lor.. sianz.. In conclusion, MRT rides... nah.. gimme this anytime ----->

daddy finally finished his marking.. in total since august, he has marked a grand total of about ...*using calculator*.. 1036 structured essays.. on top of that he said he has set sec4 mock prelim paper 1, mock prelim paper2, sec4 prelim paper1, sec 4 prelim paper 2, sec3 paper 1, sec 3 paper2, sec1E structured questions, sec 1N paper.... its like.. what the.. btw, answer schemes for geog paper 2s.. go up to about 20 pages minimum.. so.. i think daddy has aged alot.. for all that he's doing, he thinks he doesnt deserve whatever he is getting or not getting.. enuff said.. if i tell u all somemore... i may start to bring in names which i think daddy doesnt want..

now he has to convince the people that its safe to go to sungei buloh to do CIP... coz they are afraid of mosquitoes.. y does daddy need to do that when it wasnt his idea to do this.... he was made to do it! then theres a year end function coming up next month.. venue..still unknown.. preparation..zilch.. and he has to worry abt his sec4s taking exams.. sad to sae.. all he ever wanted was to be a teacher.. wats so difficult? he's tired...so very tired.. i'm tired, so is cody.. when are we going to see the sea again..

daddy's oldest rabbit binbin died last week.. binbin was daddy's 1st few pets. she was with him even b4 i came along.. daddy told me alot about binbin.. she was brought home in a shoe box by daddy's sister.. at tat time daddy was still studying in the NUS.. his sister was supposed to own the rabbit... but soon enough... binbin became daddy's.. she's special.. she was a rabbit tat do not need a cage... not at least till i came along.. at nite.. daddy would put her on his ever-bulging tummy... stroke her.. and as he began to fall sleep... she'll hop off the bed.. and make herself comfy on his bedroom floor and juz sit there till she fell asleep. she'll juz be quiet thru the nite as daddy slept.. she'll pee and do her business in the room on sheets of newspaper too.. in a way.. she was also 'litter-trained' like me.. daddy said he nv knew rabbits are like tat.. then in the day time.. as daddy wanted to go out and when he started to change.. she'll hop onto the bed and sprint to and fro the bed.. its like she doesnt want him to leave.. and when he did leave.. she'll have the whole room to herself..
however, this beautiful picture changed after daddy got me.. as i 1st stepped into the flat... wandering and finding my way around.. binbin scampered and hid under the bed.. daddy tot that i needed the space to explore.. so for the 1st time ever, he caged binbin up.. its all myfault.. binbin then became very agressive...towards everyone.. even when daddy wanted to feed her.. she'll sometimes bite or scratch him.. daddy became very disillusioned.. but left her as she was.. years past.. daddy got binbin a new partner.. biangbiang.. who died about 2 years ago.. then about 1 year ago.. a rabbit tat daddy adopted as it was found in ZHSS compound, was brought home. he called her 'dirty fella' as she looked like a baby rabbit he once had but she din survive. one of the happiest moments daddy ever experienced was that after this one year of putting the adopted rabbit and binbin in separate cages side by side... he finally put them in a single big cage.. and they did not fight but found companionship with each other's presence. after all these years.. binbin began to mellow down and she finally let daddy stroke her again.. binbin was 7 years old when she passed away.. the normal life span of a rabbit is 6.. so, she had a long life,, in terms of a rabbit i guess. daddy reached home from sch and she was lying in the cage trying to catch her breath.. he cuddled her thin body for about 15mins... then she stopped breathing.. can see that daddy was glad, at least, he managed to be wif her when she drew her last breath. he brought her to this cremetorium along stevens road which also functions as an animal hospital. binbin's urn is due for collection since sunday... but daddy cant find the time time to go and collect her.. coz the place stops at 5pm.. and he's still stuck in school... see the pic...this is/was binbin juz shortly after she passed away.

rest in peace binbin... i miss u.. daddy will miss u, i know.. everyone at home misses u..

cody here. daddy's been very busy lately. whats new rite? i have to apologise on his behalf lah.. he was away on urgent leave for 4 days last week. guess u guys muz have had a swinging time during ur free periods rite? tsktsk.. woah!!!

ok.. some of u might be wondering.. daddy's grandma passed away, so he had to be away. some of u guys smsed him. he thanks them lah..so weird one.. he tells me, but he din tell u all.. weirdo.. i think he knows i'm (wif niki) secretly blogging, using his com..when he's not ard.. juz like now! woahwoah!! think he muz be ennnnjoyyyiiinng.. his national day celebrations in school now.. woahwoah! aniwae, somethin strange happened during grandma's wake.. i try to attach the pic... wait ah.. i stole this from his hp. eh... cannot leh.. nvm, later i try again.. thousands of bees infested the wake on the 2nd nite. so, it had everyone running for cover.. if i can upload the pic later.. all the black dots are all bees.. eeww..

i duno can see liddat or not.. but it was horrendous according to daddy. if cannot see then nvm lor.. woahwoah!

i saw the tagboard 2dae.. daddy's SJAB corp leader ask me to blog leh.. *woah!!* ok lah.. shall blog abit then i go take my morning nap..

2 nites ago.. daddy told me and niki something weird that happened.. b4 he came back.. he went to the POSB ATM mah.. coz he's always broke.. so payday.. he happy like mad lor.. went to press money.. he told us.. nowadays, ATM very 'interactive'.. can negotiate with the person drawing money leh.. he pressed $400..then enter.. (he's not rich.. he's using the money for buying food one...hahah) then guess wat.. the ATM says.. "This ATM cannot dispense $400, would u like to withdraw $200 instead".. wt..??? so he LL lor.. so he press yes lor.. then take money go buy alot of instant noodles... but he haven eat any yet.. so bo liao one.. walkwalkwalk... see the packets like very nice then he buy... always liddat one..

yesterday... alot of things in his workplace lah.. as usual.. lessons lor.. he abit..actually very worried leh.. his 4E4 dunno about the mid-atlantic oceanic ridge.. siao liao.. he said he wants to test them on places of the world liao lor.. general knowledge lor.. wah.. die.. then after tat.. at 2.30pm.. he got geog syllabus workshop in school... till about 545pm.. its abt this new syllabus the lower sec is doing next yr and how to go abt setting the exams for that.. by then ...daddy said he super sleepy and tired liao.. then waited in school..to see ms tan.. regarding SWC matters.. eerr.. STAFF WELFARE COMMITTEE.. yea.. he was made chairperson lor.. so alot of things to be done.. teachers day dinner; have to plan programs, confirm venue, prizes, games, door gifts etc. then got NKF health check for teachers, non-teaching staff, canteen vendors and contract cleaners, to coordinate...tat's comin up next month.. also plan games day for staff for next week.. so he tokked to his principal till nearing 8pm then go home.. then 2moro, friday, got sec4 lesson till abt 5pm, then on saturday, got another seminar to attend.. abt geog one also.. so sunday rest, then next monday work again.. then school art gallery opening .. work lor.. then after that.. a year end staff dinner...he doesnt mind doing all these work.. but he seems like he's always so tired..so, then.. i dunno when daddy is going to bring niki and me out again.. i'm getting bored at home.. tats y i keep chewing on his wires.. i cant help it leh.. how.. *woah!!!*

daddy's not home now.. cody's playing with his chew toy daddy bought yesterday.. dunno whats so fun about it... i din even chew mine..

well, daddy told me last nite 2dae will be the last day of the semester.. guess he should have a short break soon.. wonder if he'll bring me to the beach... but i think he has to go back on quite a number of days for lessons, cca, WITs presentation... theres a possiblity that he might be going on the fieldtrip to thailand, due to unforeseen circumstances.. so what will happen to cody and mE!!!??!?!?!?!?!? wooooooah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i dun wanna stay in a pet hotel... it's not hotel u know!!?!?

think he should be coming back soon.. he mentioned somethin about 'eat with ur dogs day' or somethin... i wonder if he'll share his dinner with me and cody...

Woah!!!!!!!!

Din blog for sooooooooooooooooo long.. daddy's been really busy... from my last post since dunno when.. he finished setting the mid year papers... then he was setting the sec4 mid year test... then after which he was marking the sec2 mid year exam papers... anywae, according to him, setting the paper isnt the hard part... coming up wif the answer scheme for the test/ exam was the killer..

he din really have much time for us the past month... hope he brings us out soon.. well, last nite, he told me and cody that he was disappointed with alot of things ard.. he din sae much after that.. juz that he thinks he dun wanna get involved in extra obligations becoz he thinks ppl dun appreciate it aniwae.. he feels he has wasted all his time and effort after all these years in trying to make changes and make things work.. i dun really get what he was trying to sae when he said he wanna take a step back... he'd rather spend more time with us and concentrate on his teaching .. i hope so..

WOah!

daddy went to VJC (eerr..victoria jc, if u dun know) today wif 4 students for this humanities quiz. din make it to their final rounds of the top 4 teams. din realli matter lah.. it was more for the sake of competition. daddy told me he saw 2 ex-zhonghuarians in vjc. both of them, he taught them in their sec2 years. one was 2e7 of 2001, ms voo yee rae, and the other from 2e7 of 2002, marcus. daddy was happy to see them...yee rae was the photographer in charge of taking photos of the event... but he said she quite shi bai...coz everytime she wanna take...ppl quickly walk away.. woah! yee rae is still this sweet, chirpy and bubbly girl he knew back then. marcus was the MC for the event... still the same marcus.. full of charisma.. confident in his speech... every making of the next host of 'who wants to be a millionaire'.

seeing them makes daddy think about his former students.. i can see it in his face.. a tinge of happiness tat they did themselves proud in their exams and moved on.. but also a tinge of sadness.. i was going thru his photos juz now.. later i'll post it.. some of his ex students from 3 years ago in 2e7. they are special to him in a weird sense, which he cant really fathom also.. hahaha.. i think between themselves they know lah.. weirdos all..

niki here!! daddy told me the zhsj got champz for their 1st aid competition... and better still.. we won in both the nursing team (girls) and ambulance team (boys) competition... and yet even better still, his cadets yan lin and tie xuan both won best leaders for both categories... in other words... zhsj swept home all the awards...wah... daddy thinks they all really worked hard for these honours.. really really worked very hard, and not forgetting the trainers, esp Jenny who spent a lot of nites with the cadets. wouldnt hv been possible w/o her.

well, daddy still owes the ambulance team a treat...woahwoah... the nursing team one.. after saturday's competition , they went to eat at coca restaurant at the concourse and daddy cooked fish glue for them, so funy.. and yan lin served an empty plate, coz all the prawns fell off the plate b4 they can reach the steamboat... woah! then the girls' went for a haircut to celebrate... shld cut botak lah... but aniwae, daddy saes their hair look vy nice now... he told me he saw the neoprint.. wah... nicenice.. the ambulance team, duno run where, so daddy had no chance to treat them... he's saying sometime this week lah?

hhmmm its abt 7.15pm now... i think daddy shld be reaching home soon... better go pretend to sleep...woahwoahwoah!

its cody here!! daddy's taking his saturday afternoon nap. think he went sch at 7am 2dae lah.. so catching up on on weekly sleep deprivation. last i checked, he was smiling in a silly manner while he was sleeping, so i guess, he's very happy he got some sleep finally..

yesterday, he was so mad... coz this plastic thing tat follows him whereever he goes.. some driving thumb or isit thumbing drive.. spoilt yesterday... i think he die already... his those test and exam all inside... *woofwoofwoof* (ha-ha-ha) ... i think he'll probably do anything like eat my poo so that the thing works again.. hahahaha...opppss.. i mean *woahwoahwoah!!*

i'm back again!! cant really get hold of the com coz daddy has been hogging the com.. i think he keep typing some lines and sentences, then they have some numbers beside them...think its what he calls 'marks'... duno what it is used for... he keeps staring the the screen...think he's gone bonkers again..

i got things to sae u know... juz tat i din hv the chance to.. oh yea... i felt the building move.. during tat tremor... 1st time i experienced this...altho niki said they are quite frequent occurences over the past 2 years... i wasnt here yet mah..so i dunno.. i din bark lah.. tot it was pretty fun.. but the fishies' water from the fish tank nearly spilled over... woah woah!! silly them!

but there's somethin i do know..i've been reading up when no one is at home and when niki is sleepin ... people are quite silly u know!? woah woah!!! somehow.. u all tend to worry about whats is going to happen again.. so, now there's an earthquake.. ppl start scampering for higher ground becoz of the fear of a tsunami.. fyi, tsunamis normally happen in the Pacific Ocean ...not Indian Ocean.. the last time a devastating tsunami hit the Asian region was in 1883, when Mt Krakatoa erupted.. triggering off tsunamis killing about 40000 ppl...if i remember corrrectly.. so tat works out to be about a once in a century occurence.. it can still happen...but what i'm saying is ppl shld concentrate on the more imminent dangers of skyscrapers and buildings collapsing and chances of a mega volcanic eruption. its like everytime theres an earthquke...ppl juz keep lookin at the sea...while behind them..all the buildings filled wif ppl may be collapsing.. ppl who study geog will tell u that in places where earthquake happens..there is a high chance that volcanoes may be found.. it is true.. Lake TOba in Sumatra.. if it erupts.. i dunno what will happen to me.. now that the plates below where we are are become more active and 'volatile'... theres always this danger now.. i dun even wanna think about what is going to happen ... i'll certainly miss my walks by the beach... *woahwoah!!!*

Sec 4 Parents' Day

Hi everyone,

thank you for turning up with your parents! juz some observations. i think, generally, especially, those who saw me with their parents, i think all of u have got wonderful parents. they are no doubt different, in terms of personality, but in terms of their level of care and concern for you, i think its really great. they express themselves differently, some are more chirpy, some are more downcast when they saw ur results, some take really strong interest in ur results... all these point to their concern for u. please appreciate that.

becoz my 2nd observation is that some of u idiots are juz plain rude to ur parents. u know who u are.. and u have to thank the rest of the people ard...coz if there wasnt anyone else.. i would have stabbed my pen into ur eyeball or something. please know this... friends come and go.. some friends stay with u longer, some friends may become ur lifelong friends.. put it this way... u may know abt 1000 individuals by studying in a sch.. but after 10 years, if u still are really close .... and i mean close to 3 friends u knew 10 years back... u r really lucky. i dun mean that u shld disregard ppl ard u now... but there's a high chance after u leave zhss, u may lose touch wif some of them.. but what i want u guys to hv... is to have the great memories of 4e5, when u are parents urself, when u become teachers and when u share to ur students about how u used to have a maniac form teacher in sec4, when u share wif ur subordinates at work how life was so fun when u were in sch.. for all u know... u may not even remember me?!?! but what about ur parents? they'll be wif u... u all hv the same blood... i'm not tokin abt blood type..i'm saying 'blood' geddit? they gave birth to u, brought u up, go thru pains to make ends meet so that u have proper food to satisfy ur hunger (not everyone faces this problem though)... u know what i'm saying?

friends MAY last a lifetime, but ur parents WILL be forever. one day, when my own mum or dad dies, they dun juz stop being my mum or dad juz becoz they are dead...

some of u may 'hate' ur parents for being naggy or too demanding etc... i was like tat once, and i regret being like tat. i still do. its like when i think back.. what was all my hate, anger, frustration for? isit becoz i cant go out? was it becoz i din get to buy an expensive item i desired? i cant remember any of these things, really! but it doesnt take too much for me to remember that they are still my parents. so please, if u think u cant even bring urself to sit close and properly to ur own parents, think about what u r doing is rite.

having said that, suddenly i feel the need to go look for my parents this weekend, though i duno if i have the time to do so, coz of work... setting of exams lah...

please think about what i said.. dun lemme waste my efforts in typing this... coz on my part i feel the need to, and rite now...i'm totally spent... its 1230am now. think i shall go sleep... will need to go back to sch for sjab later.

juz now, he came back with some toys and plastic fixtures for e 2nd hamster cage .. i think it'll be so happy lor.. he separated prince and prince2, coz they are always fighting lah.. so dumb one... not as if not enuff food or wat..

then he tokked to me and cody. apparently, he was about to purchase an 'english hamster'.. there's this breed...whitish and alot of fur one... he was holding it and b4 he could say 'i'll take this one'....a boy and his father appeared behind and gave a paper bag to the auntie who was attending to daddy. inside there were 3 hamsters, and they were not the baby type... kinda old for a hamster. they wanted to 'sell' it to e auntie.. dady was so disgusted. the auntie took them... each hamster was $2. is that how much a life who's been bobbing ard u and giving u constant joy for like e past 2 years is worth??? in fact...3 lives... its so sad. daddy din buy the english hammie coz he said he lost the feeling once he saw that scene. he din buy the 3 hammies too...coz he said theres no place for him to keep 3 adult hammies, and wats more, he thinks its not rite to buy 1 or 2...coz by doing so, they'll be separated.. they are of the same size, age and breed, so likely they are siblings... so its pretty tragic if u were to separate them at this late stage of their lives.. so i think daddy quite sad. i wish they can get themselves a good home lah..

for myself, i dunno whats gonna happen when i get old... cody will be an adult then...in fact, in 6 months time..he'll be one yr old... so for a doggie, tats an adult already i guess. i'm 6 yrs old now.. woahwoah!! i get to celebrate my bd every year. wheewhee!!! i hope daddy doesnt abandon me or somethin..i doubt he will.. he loves me so much.. i saw 1 poster he bought b4...theres this doggie's face and it says... "to u, he's juz a dog, but to him, u r his everything." its so true... dady is my everything.. *tears*

daddy's at work now.. i manged to turn the computer on... coz he always leaves it on standby, so all i have to do is juz to punch my paw onto any part of the keyboard..shhhooo easy!!! woof! (Haaa!)

last nite, finally he got some proper sleep altho i think not enuff... hahaha... 4hrs.. enuff? i dunno, i juz sleep as and when i want to.. woofwoof! (haha!) he told me yesterday, he wasnt in a good mood, becoz of some 'unreasonable requests'... but at the same time, he told me he freaked out some of his classes...becoz his face black black.. so to all his classes ah... he's not angry wif u all lah... tat time he told me, one of his sec 2 gals said he never smile b4 one... isit? cant be.. he's crazy one.. i think his form class knows.. woofwoofwoof!! *hahaha!!*

daddy left the house vy early this morn.. told me and niki he was gng to fetch some students to NUS for this competeeeesion.. (i dunno how to spell..) woofwoofwoof!!! (as in...hehehe). when he came back juz now at about 9pm.. he got a box of duno wat...smells very good.. on the box it has this ugly old man's face and it saes... 'finger lickin good'... i dun hv any, so i think i cant have whatever is in the box. think i'll juz lick my paws later. think it was some extras, coz he went to this ugly old man's house to eat with his students juz now.

he was quite happy.. i think from what i can see on his msn nick... some top 10 thing in s'pore. i got a feeling he's not gng to sleep tonite... becoz he'll be drawing ticks and crosses. gggrrr... woof! (meaning 'idiot') coz if he's not gng to sleep, i cant becoz his music he listens to will be disturbing me...

i betta finish this post... coz i haven figured out a way how to jump off this chair.. i'm juz a pup u know.. i dun wanna be caught tampering wif his com, and dun wanna be caught wif my fur down.....

hi, its niki again. daddy's taking a shower now.. so i'm sneaking up on his computer which is on all the time.

this morn he went out, told me was gng to sch to see his sjab cadets for a while then going over to serangoon stadium to meet up wif his class ppl coz they are practising for their sports day events. he mentioned somethin abt bringing batons to them? isit the same as me bringing my rubber toys to him? hhmm? woof!! when he came back in the afternoon, he seems cheerful.. and he told me they were taking quite a number of photos in the stadium.. adf.sadf..dfds.. eh... its hard.jas.,dsa.. to type u know..my paws are kinda big for this keyboard..so i gotta use my nails.

he loves sleeping.. he juz does.. after comin back..he juz conked off.. i duno y... he seems tired almost everyday. i wont ask him. at least he still toks to me and cody, so i m still hapy. and yes.. 2dae, in the evening, he brought me and cody to pasir ris beach!!! woof woof woof!!!!! but quite dark already ... but i enjoyed the strong breeze.. stupid cody is so suaku....1st time at a beach.. later i see if i can find any pics he took of me juz now...i'll post it..if my paws allow me to..

anyway, i cant expect much.. he's gotta mark and set tests and exams...and i think... counting by the number of nails on my paws..he's left wif 4 days. he cant finish.. he cant.. i know. i guess i wont bug him for the next few days. but i think he's gng for his class outing cum bbq 2moro.. maybe tat also explains why he's so upbeat now..

its gonna be 1am already...i think he's going out...to bring a consent form for his student for his SPH geog challenge tis fridae and put it inside the student's letter box. i dunno wif he's gonna walk there, run there (which i seriously doubt he can), cycle there....or drive there.. i wonder if i can go too.... i think i juz go and pretend to be good boy..which I AM OK!?!?! ooppss...think he's comin out from the shower soon.. gtg! woof-woof!!

Troublesome Nite

my daddy's not here rite now. i'm niki here. cody is stuck under the sofa and cant come out.. think he's outgrown his hiding place under the sofa. ggrrr.. i duno y.. last nite, daddy gotta a call from his sjab nco at 2am. after tat, he got so upset tat he couldn't sleep .. he went to school today to settle some issues because he mentioned that his sec1s and 2s were informed at the very last minute to go down to school today. b4 he left, he told me he doesnt like it when ppl treat his students like dirt. after that he din really sae much, i juz know that he was very upset.

i'm so bored the whole day. i was promised a walk at the beach today. but it turns out, i'm still stuck at home. ggrrrr... he's seldom free to bring me and cody out for walks. he has to be ard in the sch when his sjab trains, and he apologised to me last nite, saying that that will be everyday of this 1 week break. i miss the beach.. but i dun mind, coz i know he loves his sjab cadets like he loves me. i think he's comin home soon. i dun wanna be caught turning on his com. betta find some yummy to chew now.. yea...and will see if cody is still stuck under the sofa. he's whining, i guess he still is. woofwoof! End of 'Work' on Mondae

hey .. its the hols man.. i'm still in sch. tried to pack my table... not very successful. made a new class sitting arrangement plan.. as in the plan, not change of seats. think my class shld be pretty impressed...wahaha... wait till sch reopens. haven eaten a proper meal 2dae.. had some chocs.. and 4:40pm already... sigh. think i shall go back now. got marking of tests to do... 4 classes of sec 2, 2 classes of sec4. and by this week, i have to set the sec4 test3 and mid year exam papers for sec2 and sec4 (modified)... seriously, i dun think i have enuff time. monday is nearly gone... 1 more week.. then SJAB is comin back to sch everyday..

oh...btw , my SJAB corps got the GOLD AWARD!! yeah!!! quite unexpected lah... but as long as we get it, i dun mind. so the cadets and NCOs and even myself gotta work even harder to sustain it... no more silver again , ok? hehe..
