Time Keeps On Marching...

Do you hear that? Angels are singing in joyous song because I finally did a post! Let me just say this took me about 500 gajillion hours to complete (and plenty of cursing for procrastinating)  but I have done it! Paul wondered why I was even doing a posts because nobody ever checks my blog anymore since I only post every couple of years. For me though, even if nobody reads it, it is my way of scrap-booking our memories. So, if you are one of the few that actually read this, settle in because I'm pretty sure it's gonna take some serious commitment to get through this. Here's what I've learned -time does not march-it goes at mock speed! It is amazing how incredibly fast almost 2 whole years can go by.  It's sad really. Can somebody please tell me how to push the pause button?! I figured the best way to sum up all these months is to do a post month by month. Some of these months have events from 2011 and 2012.  I had a lot of catching up to do of all the fun that's been had! I'm basically starting from September & working backwards to the beginning of the year so, let's begin...

September 2012

5 years ago on the 26th of this month, I was celebrating my 30th birthday with the best present I could have ever hoped for...a beautiful healthy baby girl!
We started her big day by taking her to breakfast to Perkins (her choice)
She was born on my birthday but she's a daddy's girl all the way
Her delicious chocolate chip pancakes which she topped off with hot chocolate and french silk pie. You only turn 5 once! Also, she insisted in staying in her pajamas to go eat her birthday breakfast.

After school we opened some of her gifts ( puppy from her BFF Kylie) Sadie's nose is all red due to some face painting from preschool.

Later that night we went bowling and had a pizza party for Ali's party.

Strat wanted to be in the middle of all the bowling action

Giving Ali's cake a taste test
                                      The birthday girls
Blowing out the candle with everything she's got!

Wed 26th was the official day but we had her friend party 3 days later. This year she chose to have it where she takes gymnastics. We rented the gym out and the kids were able to run wild!

Big sis who showed off her mad skills doing flips on the tramp and Sadie above with her cute friend Danica.
Strat loved jumping too-especially with Daddy

Feeling on top of the world
Working it on the beam
LIKE FATHER...
LIKE SON!

Cousins Annie and Katie playing "Heavy Heavy Hangover."
Can you tell she's excited?!

Pinata time!
2 cakes-1birthday = lucky girl

The birthday party pals!

August 2011/2012

August 2011...School is in session
Snapshots of a few of the school year's events (technically these    weren't all taken in August but you get the idea)

First Day of Preschool

First Day of 2nd Grade at White Pine

Kylie's school project on Taylor Swift ( the students were asked to pick someone famous that they admire. One girl chose Amelia Earhart, my daughter chose a pop princess-I say whatever floats your boat.)
Her class sang for holiday program at Barnes and Noble
Ky's Self Portrait

Sadie was learning about the Presidents of the United States at Preschool (Check out her little devious smile) and performed in a play put on by her Preschool class.
Graduation Day (but due to her bday she'll be back for round 2 next year ) Above is her teacher-Ms. Karla

August 2012
Our mini vacation to Island Park
This is the 2nd year Kylie has participated on the city swim team. She really enjoys swimming but not the competition side of it too much. We think a little team work and competitiveness is good for her. In August she competed in 2 meets. Also in August she competed in her first horse show!

Sadie started playing T-ball this year and it will come as no surprise that she was one determined little player.  She really loved it and can't wait to play next year as well. Her dad loves that she's a little hustler and goes after every ball.

Back to school festivities...We took a day to have one last hurrah before school began. We spent the day eating treats, doing crafts, watching movies from Redbox and finishing the night off with a relaxing outdoor dinner and a game of t-ball.

Sadie pouting because I won't give her a cupcake till she eats and Kylie mocking Sadie

On her way back to White Pine Charter School as a big 3rGrader!!!

The following week Ky wanted to have a few friends over for a impromptu back to school bash. The girls played Just Dance on theWii and ate some goodies.
