Look at our handsome boy on his first day of shcool. Emery was also very excited to see her big brother off at school. Like a typical little boy, he brushed us both off when we tried to give him hugs and kisses good-bye. He had a great first day and made it home on the bus like an old pro.

A little clip
A little clip from Graham's First Day of Kindergarten. I drop him off at the Elementary School at noon and then his class rides a bus together up to their classroom which is on the U of I Campus. There, he's in school until about 3:00 and then the bus brings them back to the elementary school and then he rides a bus home. He said his favorite part of his first day was riding the bus. He has lots of little friends from preschool and has no trouble making new ones. It was weird sending him off on a bus and then driving home without him. He was excited and really didn't want to have anything to do with me. Typical boy.

The Highway in the Sky
From lesbians smoking on the peak to midgets covered in Cheese Nips who refused to take our picture, this hike to Table Mountain in the Tetons was an adventure. Many were invited but Cody was the only one up to the challenge with me on this trip. We took the Huckleberry route to the peak and back, a roundtrip total of about 16 miles and 4200 feet gain in elevation. And we did it in about 6 1/2 hours! Aside from the barrage of Boy Scouts and Hippies attacking the trail at the same time we were, this was a great hike and as always the views were amazing. I find myself wishing I lived closer to the big mountains so that I could do this more often. Some day I'll get over my separation anxiety from the student lifestyle and get a real job, possibly in Southeast Idaho and then my dreams can become a reality.

Ode to the Toilet
Thanks to our welcome back students barbecue on Saturday evening, my normal two day weekend has turned into four and I got to skip church on Sunday (at his point my weekend may still be extended to five days.) But rather than tell the story of my nasty bout with food poisoning, I'd like to point out the wonderful attributes of my new best friend: My Toilet. The reason for this relationship is the copius amount of time we've spent together over the last three days. I've grown to love my toilet almost as member of the family. My toilet and I have had many late night conversations, which once retired have been revisited each night a few hours later. My toilet is always there for me no matter what the time is and indifferent to whether I give it a rest or not. It doesn't even care if I have puke breath. It has been there for me as a place to sit, not necessarily rest, and never complains about the load I place on it. I have curled up by the toilet day and night, and as I kneel up in front of it the roundness of the bowl seems to smile and welcome me or reach out as if it were loving arms ready to embrace me. The toilet waits for me quietly and reverently while I kneel and pray by its side for my plight to pass. Undoubtedly my toilet has been solid and stoic in its role during my sickness. Thank you toilet, thank you.

FHE on ICE
Family home evening spent ice blocking up on campus with friends from the ward. Jordan was the champion ice blocker and every one, including the other moms, spent the evening trying to beat him down the hill to no avail. Needless to say we used alot of stain stick on the grass- stained rear ends that evening.
Hot Dogs and Marshmallows
This was our family's first camping trip with all four of us together. It is in June and we had a great time at Elk River. What a beautiful place. We all had fun and no the kids did not wander off in the middle of the night like I was so paranoid about.
The next day we went on a little hike to see the Elk River Falls. Graham and Emery did a great job hiking. We all had to help mom a little back out of the canyon. We can't wait to do more camping and hiking in the future. Maybe we'll wait until after the baby comes.
