FOR THE RECORD POCKET PAGES/A CHERRY ON TOP

Hello, all! I hope you're having a fantastic weekend. Today, I'm sharing a few pocket pages I created using Simple Stories' For the Record collection. This collection is perfect for documenting your daily life. There's so many fun things in this collection. I love the patterned papers, rub-ons, and decorative brads. They are a few of my favorites, but the entire collection is so great.

This is a fun pocket spread with an interactive paper I created by cutting four 3x4 journaling cards together and flipping the ends to create the flip. I mounted a 4x6 photo inside this flip page. I cut the floral die cuts in half to create a fun border for the photo.

Who doesn't love a fun pocket page?! I cut the patterned paper to measure 8"x4". Next, punched holes along the left-side to create the pocket. I used red sticky tape to tape the pocket down to the grid paper.

I mounted down a 6x8 patterned paper to the chipboard page and added a few chipboard embellishments to create a fun insert page for the album.

My last spread for today includes a grid pocket page-similar to the once I created for the YouTube hop. This is what my son's daily life looks like... he has fun...while I work. LOL

Just in case you missed my YouTube video on how I created this fun grid pocket page, here's the layout I created of my daily life.

Have you gotten your hands on the For the Record collection yet? It's a great collection...and it's versatile. I created two summer layouts using my scraps! Can't wait to share those with you in the next few months. Thank you so much for visiting today!

LIFE IS GOOD/PERFECT PAINTS

Good morning, friends! Nicole here, sharing a scrapbooking layout I created using a variety of Polishing Plaster and a stencil to create a fun background full of cameras. I drew inspiration from the large camera at the bottom of the layout and thought it would be cool to add a variety of small cameras at the top of the layout. I am using Simple Storie's Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe collection to embellish the layout.

To begin, I taped down the stencil directly on the layout to prevent the stencil from slipping. Next, I used a palette knife to pull the Jack Frost Polishing Plaster through the stencil. After that, I mixed a small amount of the Cayenne Polishing Plaster with the Riverstone Texture Medium to create a pink hue. I used a palette knife to pull the pink through the stencil sparingly, allowing the Jack Frost to peep through. After that, I applied a small amount of the Organic Sugar Polishing Plaster sparingly throughout the stencil. I used the scrapping tool to remove the excess Polishing Plaster to create a smooth surface. I let this sit overnight to dry.
Here is what the background looks like after the Polishing Plaster is completely dry. LOVE the texture!
Now, the easy part! Assembling the layout with all the pretty embellishments! I love the Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe collection from Simple Stories. The colors are so stunning!

I love playing with embellishments... I used a good amount of pretty embellishments on this layout. I used tags to fill in the white space at the top of the layout. Then, I added a variety of stickers, chipboard, and foam stickers to add dimension.

I hope I inspired you today! I love how pretty this layout turned out. Thank you for visiting today!

FAMILY LIFE/SIMPLE STORIES

Happy Friday, friends! I'm excited to share this flipbook I created using Simple Stories' Front Porch Collection. My family organized a day so that we could have professional pictures taken. It was the first week of December and it was freezing...but you can't really see that in the pictures...thankfully. I created this beauty for my grandmother and I can't wait to give it to her.

I covered the front of the album with patterned paper and then I matted the photo and journaling card behind the chipboard frame and glued it to the cover. Next, added a few rub-on elements to the chipboard. LOVE the little birdie.

I always like to decorate the back of the album as well. I used foam stickers, chipboard, stickers, and rub-ons to make it pretty.
Since there isn't a good amount a white space on this photo, I decided to keep it simple. I only added the rub-on ruler and butterfly to create a fun border.
To create this fun flip page, I cut four 3-4 journaling cards so that they were still attached and then I folded the ends in towards the middle to create the flip pages. Next, I mounted the photo inside the flip page and added a few embellishments.
Clustering embellishments is one of my favorite things to do!! Don't they look so pretty? I especially love the butterflies with the house.

Throughout the album, you may notice a patterned. For the left-side of the album, I use journaling cards with a few embellishments. To the right-side, you'll notice I include the photo. I think this creates a nice flow throughout the album. I follow this same format for all my little albums. It makes it easier to create an album in just a few hours since I already have a design in mind.
I matted the ampersand onto the doily die cut and added it to the 4x6 cut-apart sheet using foam squares to add dimension. I added the button to the center of the cream doily and a decorative brad to the green doily.
Here's a close up... the flowers are fun-ons that I cut in half. Sooooo pretty!!

For this page, I cut the woodgrain paper to measure 4x6 and then I cut the floral print to measure 3x6 and mounted it across the top of the woodgrain paper. Next, I added the camera die cut with the decorative brad.
You may already know this...but I absolutely love rub-ons!! They are great for filling in white space on photos...also for floral rub-ons, I cut them in half to stretch them out throughout the album.
Here's another flip page I created using the 3x4 journaling cards. For this page, I decided to use some of the die cuts, layered on a tag to add to the flip page. Isn't this lovely? I want to keep this album for myself...honestly.
This is what it looks like opened. I tucked the floral die cut behind the tag to fill in the white space.
I clustered a variety of die cuts on the photo to make it pretty. I love this photo...candid shots are my favorite. I hope you love this flipbook as much as I do! Check out the full Front Porch collection, here. Thank you for visiting today!
