Famous Korean skincare brand Innisfree has finally set up its first store in Malaysia in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall, Klang Valley.
Korea has evolved as a country to produce some of the world best cosmetic and skincare products since the breakthrough of K-Pop and plastic surgery. innisfree translates to "pure island" which implies the origin of ingredients most of their products came from: Jeju Island. From Jeju's volcanic scoria, green tea leaves, green soy beans to tangerine peel, when you step into the store of innisfree in Sunway Pyramid, you feel that you've been guided a tour through the nature of Jeju island.
innisfree 8-solution skin care line:
1. Green Tea Line - Moisturizing
2. Jeju Volcanic Line - Pore Care
3. Eco Science White C Line (using tangerine) - Whitening Care
4. Eco Sciene Line (seaweed) - Wrinkle Care
5. Olive Real Line - Nutrimoisturizing Care
6. Jeju Bija Line - Trouble Care
7. Soybean Firming Line - Firming & Lifting
8. Jeju Orchid Line - Total Care (coming in 2015)
I got two of their best sellers: Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (OPENING PROMO PRICE! RM52 for a set of their full size clay mask and two travel size pore toner and pore cleanser, while stocks last) and Eco Science Wrinkle Spot Essence worth RM135. And another eye product: Eco Science White C Double Eye Circle Cream, day use with SPF and night (10ml+10ml) worth RM115.
Perhaps their most loved sections in the shop are the mask shelves. Sheet masks priced at RM4 and Capsule Recipe Pack (up to 3 times application) priced at RM10-12 each.
I'll post up the remaining photos to let you have a feel around the shop and what they have to offer.
hand cream at RM15 each.

Follow their facebook for all the promos they're throwing for their followers online, there are lots of gifts to be won almost every week.
They're set to open up their second outlet in KL soon, so stay tune via their FB.

Finally got my hands on the new festive collection by SK-II. They always have a prettiest looking bottles for a skincare brand that it's such a shame I have to throw them out every time I finished using them.
It's that or I would have filled the toilet floor with bottles upon bottles of emptied SK-II products. But these bottles are so pretty I'd have a hard time using them. -_-
I don't think I can ever get enough of their FTE (Facial Treatment Essence). They're kinda pricey but I have never been able to find a replacement or anything better so I stuck with this brand and use it as a toner for the past 7 years now, admittedly, on and off. Since there were days when I couldn't afford it so I would use it little by little and switching it with other brands between bottles. But eventually I'd always come back to this. (I also almost always come back to their Signature Stempower as a moisturiser too)
75ml FTE. I bring this with me wherever I travel.
It has occurred to me that with age and wisdom I have grown to be more selective with my products and thus spending less and less on rubbish and more on the selected few premium items that I consistently use. I no longer splurge on budget clothings or shoes when I travel to Thailand or China, or even on drug store cosmetic products simply because they looked so pretty only to use the once and leave them forever in my drawer.
I still splurge, no doubt. Perhaps more tenaciously than in my youth, unfortunately. And on quality products which, more often than not, were more expensive as well. And I use them. So it's not really a waste and I'm treating myself and my skin right.
Perhaps it is time that I use these babies as a mask. Pour them onto a cotton pad till it's soaked through and then place them on my face for a deep treatment. What a sinful splurge which I'm sure my face will appreciate. Feeling giddy just thinking about it.
from left to right: Green Cypress, Red Tulips, Purple Hydrangea, Yellow Freesia
The Revival Deluxe Set is priced at RM1,094.
I got the Miracle in A Bottle set at RM565.
For more info do go to your nearest SK-II outlet.

This year is about work, work, work and very little play. Boo.
It was a choice I made so I'm not really complaining, but I do miss travelling, so bad.
Crop Top: Miss Selfridge
Jacket: Zara
Midi Skirt: designer boutique in Terminal 21, Bangkok
Platform shoes: Aldo
I have a lot of shoes but this is my first pair of funky sneakers.

Though I honestly should think of ways to make it work.
I did go on a media trip to Thailand which was nice. And another coming up to Macau.
But I probably have to cancel my three weeks Japan trip year end. Due. To. Work.
This sucks.
If only I could change the name of my flight but I bought it on a whim and they were promo tickets. So.. yea... burn, baby, burn!
Went to LeBunny Bleu last month in The Gardens. I've seen it several times but never got around to go inside. Turned out the shoes they offered were surprisingly affordable and generally very cute. Most feature their logo of a cheeky bunny peaking at you. If you're not a heel fan, this might be the place as they boast mostly flats. But they do suffer from insufficient sizes for feet like mine. Tall girl. Big feet.

Do you know I share the same feet size as JLo? *smug* And she's shorter. (yes I still refer her as JLo, it's easier)
Here's my visit.

Every since I stopped blogging full-time years ago, years later I finally found a little joy back in blogging, but only limit to whenever I feel like sitting down and penning the words out. I also started accepting invites for workshops and events, though no many I have to admit, but I'll go for those that interest me and whenever I'm able to.
Since starting my own business, it has been a little hectic and I have been craving for a long break of late, which fortunately I did a short while ago, and now am ready to dive back into the hectic schedule.
When SK-II invited me for their famous Facial Treatment Essence Workshop months ago, I agreed. Knowing I love SK-II and all their products.
The experiment shows the how easily FTE can be absorbed into the skin as compared to water and other essence brand, and how it slows the oxidation process of on the bananas as compared to water and other essence (a.k.a. aging of our skin).
My mom was an avid user way before I ever was and I have always loved how amazing their products work on my skin. It comes with no wonder each and every piece of their skincare cost a small fortune, but oh so worth it. Good stuff never comes cheap. It's also scary that every year they increase their price, much like Chanel bags. -_-
Thanks for the FTE! Just finished two of my big FTE bottles this year. o.O
Currently this Facial Treatment UV Protection is sitting in my drawer. I'll probably have to start using it soon as my current daily UV sunblock is running out. :p

When given a choice, I went with the 232 Tisse Venitien because I don't normally apply shade of green on my eyes even though my complexion has always suited green. The model in the promo video has such an intense eyeshadow color portrayal of this palette that I was sold immediately. Despite knowing it would take primer, eyeliner, mascara and a whole lot of patience to achieve this look. Nevertheless, it's an exciting blend of color I'm adding to my collection.

As years go by it has become less and less significant to celebrate special days: birthdays, Halloween, anniversaries, and Valentine's day.
I'm not sure if I'm getting boring or older. -.-
Part of me felt I could still get excited over these celebrations if I inject some passion into my life. Or maybe if I have an enthusiastic partner who share the same passion as I once did for all these special days. But then people change and so did lifestyles.
So it's in a way really sweet to still receive some special Valentine's gifts this year. Unexpected gifts are always the most welcomed.
I receive this sweet sterling silver Valentine's necklace from Ollie Jewellery.
Love the packaging
The Two Hearts Pendant is super cute, very refined and delicate. Shiny and not cheap looking at all. The pendant is only priced at RM65 at the moment, a further RM20 discount from its original price.
If you're looking to buy some last minute Valentine's gift for your love ones and girlfriends, consider buying from Ollie Jewellery. They even ship free for anything above RM100. And isn't silver all the rave at the moment. Honestly, it's really affordable for the quality you're buying considering how much more the market is charging for silver jewelleries these days.
Speaking of heart shape item, I'm really physced about receiving this year's Valentine's edition Starbucks card. It's literally heart shaped and it's small and comes with a hole so you can attach it to your keys.
They have four designs and the quote "I [HEART] YOU" is sold out in most branches. You would have to top up a minimum of RM100 for each card so getting all four of them was way too expensive. I was looking for it in various branches when I received this as a gift. Thank you xoxo!
Last I checked Plaza Mont Kiara's Starbucks still has some stock of "I [HEART] YOU" cards left. No, Starbucks didn't give me anything to write this, I just like collecting some of their seasonal cards.

Jumpsuits are one of my absolute favorites attire to go to whenever I ran out of ideas what to wear. It fits all themes casual, semi-casual, casual formal and downright laid-back.
I pair this ghetto with a elastic headband with two gorgeous strings of feathers that fall from either side of my temples.

After being really blonde, I went through another bleaching session again and this time came out an ash blonde. Still a lot more work to go but it was getting there.
The Straight
This hairstyle requires so much blow-drying it's only worth it when you visit the salon and get people to do it for you.
Necklace and teardrop pendant from Ollie Jewellery
Dress: Miss Selfridge
Watch: Guess
The Curly
Under certain light it looked ash blonde, but when exposed to sunlight it looked bright orange blonde.
The curl I was playing with here was inspired by the long bob lots of Japanese girls have in Tokyo. In fact, it was what inspired me to cut my hair in the first place.
Kitty Top: got it travelling (can't remember where)
Peplum skirt: Zara
Shoes: Aldo
Bangles 1 & 2: Aldo
The In-Between
My poor attempt to blow-dry my hair straight. I wasn't very determined at it. So it came out not so curly, not so straight.
Tank top: Mango / MNG
Dip-back skirt: Asos
See-through jacket: Shilin Night Market in Taipei, Taiwan
Bonus ootd: The Unwashed
Two days of raining, which was what curly hair turned into on my head.
Chilling in Starbucks on a rainy cold day.
Nightmare before Christmas Skeleton Jumper: Hong Kong Disneyland

It was a point in time when my hair was going through a bleaching process that would take several months before it would reach the color I desire, which was somewhere between ash, ash blonde and platinum blonde.
So for a period of time I had to be a blonde, which I didn't really like because it was difficult for me to pull off elegance and sophistication in a bright orange blonde hair.
But not for wanting to try. So these are my OOTDs in those times.
Sequin Crop Top
Sequin top and full circle skirt from Topshop.

Cropped cover-up jacket: Zara

earrings and necklace set: gifts from Oman
Pretty in Pink
Top: Taiwan
Floral print skirt: Miss Selfridge
Head band: Shibuya 109 Tokyo, Japan
Necklace: Bangkok, Thailand
The Try-Out Piece
Not so much an ootd. I tried this dress out in Jaspal and thought it's worth a blog feature. I didn't buy it because I was punishing myself after spending too much money; still, it's such a lovely dress.

I've always had commitment issues when it comes to personally owning a pet,. So far the pets I have owned have been taken care of by my love ones; even the tropical fish I once owned.
Mainly it's by my fear of taking care of another living thing and failing miserably.
Like my mom has always suggested, I can hardly take care of myself. :S
Then there's the travelling life I had been living in the past for many years. I was never in the same place long enough to keep in touch with a friend, how was I supposed to keep a pet alive?
Over the past three years, gradually, at least, I have toned down my travelling a whole lot; and was able to form stronger bonds with my couch at home. So was the story of the arrival of Godiva.
Yes she's small. But you have no idea how big of an impact this decision was for me. For the first time in my life, I have to take care of someone else other than me. To nurture it, feed it, love it and be there for it. It might not be much for most of you out there who have owned a pet since the age of 11; but THIS IS A HUGE DEAL FOR ME.
These photos were taken when Godiva was one month old.
She's this tiny winter gold hammy that's so damn adorable.
Right about this she's three weeks old and has this greyish/blackish hair spot growing out of her; I read online that it's caused by breeders breeding it with Winter Grey hamsters. :(
But she's still so adorable despite the grey patch and loving her indefinitely. I feel like I'm going to be a bad mother because I'm spoiling her so much already.
So far I've gotten her a running ball, an OVO home complete with a tiny house inside, a running wheel; other than hammy dry food, I also got her popcorn (that I popped for her every other day), pumpkin seeds, fruits, berries, grapes, bag of peanuts (solely for her)

This outfit is about connecting with your inner child innocence, or dressing like one. Another representation of innocence is Eve (as in Adam and Eve) who has always been portrayed as a feminine figure with curly blonde hair.
Stick to white or nude color that symbolizes purity.

Gypsy headband requires a certain style to pull off.
You can go for the generic gypsy style which usually consists of loose blouse/top and pale or pastel colors. Make-up that not too heavy, focus on eyeliners and nude-based eye shadow (coffee, brown).
Opt for peach or nude blush depending on your skin tone.
If you're up for it, set your hair to amp up the mood. I'm using Tsuyagla Wave from Kumiko (Popteen Star Model) to create a mermaid wave with my ash blonde hair.
If you've noticed, I had the headband changed because there was a missing feather.
