Go Broncos!

Nic has been a die hard Broncos fan his whole life.
He had never been to an NFL game though.
So in June, I surprised him for his birthday with tickets to fly to Denver and go to a Broncos game.
He was seriously SO excited!

We got to the game about 3 hours before it started and it was already packed with people!
We were in awe of the stadium.
And Nic was so giddy to actually be there.

They played the Houston Texans and lost, but we still had so much fun!
And these pictures show how good our seats were.

Being at the game is such a cool experience.
It was SO loud.
At one point, Nic was trying to tell me something and I seriously couldn't even hear him.
The crowd is crazy and the energy in the stadium was unreal.

We were there all weekend with no kids.
We ate, went shopping and did a whole lot of relaxing.
It was so nice!!

This is the only picture we got together the whole weekend we were there.
We are hoping to make this a yearly tradition.
We seriously had so much fun!

1st Day of Preschool

Nixon started preschool this year.
He was SO super excited!!!
Nic and I can't believe that we have a kid in preschool.
Where does the time go??!

He helped me pick out his clothes and we laid them out on the floor.
He had a hard time falling asleep because he was so excited.
Nic and I went in to check on him and this is how we found him.
He got his clothes and laid them on his bed next to him.
I died.
That's how excited he was!

And here is my handsome little guy ready to go.
I'm so happy that he loves going to preschool!!

And of course sissy had to jump in a picture with him!

Little Tayti Bug

I can't believe that Taytum is 22 months old.
That means that she will be 2 in December!
Time has absolutely flown by.
She is still our little sweet, mellow girl.
At the same time though, she has gotten to be a little feisty thing.
She is learning very quickly to stand up to her brother.
She does not let him push her around at all.
She's good at standing up for herself.
She loves to play with Nixon and he seriously is the best big brother ever.
She's a little instigator and knows how to push Nixon's buttons.

She is our little ham.
She makes us laugh and entertains us all the time.
When she's at home she is super talkative.
When we are out and about she doesn't say a word.
People are always surprised to hear her when she talks because she gets so shy when we aren't at home.
But at the same time, she's super friendly.
She says hi to everyone and it doesn't matter where we are.
She loves to eat and she's a good eater.
She's also a great sleeper still.
She has Daddy completely wrapped around her finger!
We have been so lucky and so blessed to have her sweet spirit in our home.

Summer Fun

We did a lot of fun things this summer.
Going to a couple of rodeos was one of them.
The Nephi rodeo is one of our favorites to go to.
Nixon is obsessed with being a cowboy these days so he was super excited to go!

Nixon and his cousin Colby both had to dress like cowboys.
They were so cute together!

Watching someone jump out of a plane with an american flag was so awesome!
It brought such a great feeling of patriotism and really made you feel proud to be an American.

Taytum loved seeing the horses.

Nixon and Colby were so into everything that was going on in the rodeo.
We had great seats thanks to Nic's uncle.
Front row!
We got to get close and personal with the animals.
The kids loved it!

Taytum was more interested in eating her candy.

Living in Utah gives is the chance to experience so many different things all in one place.
We have the mountains right by our house and they provide so many different opportunities to do things outdoors.
We went on a hike one day up to a little grotto and it was so cool!
It was a short easy hike so the kids were able to do it without any problem.

Once again, Taytum is eating.
She loves her food!

Nixon and his buddies Jayden and Drew were acting crazy as usual.
The loved playing in the cave that was next to the waterfall.

And here is Nixon showing off his muscles!

We seriously had such a fun summer.
I felt like we were non-stop the whole time but we loved it.
It went by so fast!
We did a few other things that I didn't get any pictures of.
Nic and I went with a few of our neighbors up to Jackson Hole, WY and we went white water rafting down the snake river.
We went over the weekend of our 6th anniversary and had an absolute blast!!
We also did tin foil dinners a few times and we love doing that.
We went to 7 Peaks at least once a week, went to the splash pad a whole bunch, played outside, went camping, hung out with friends and family and got a lot of sun.
It was for sure an eventful summer!

Bear Lake

We had a family reunion in July with my mom's side of the family up at beautiful Bear Lake and we had so much fun!
We stayed in the most gorgeous cabin.
We had tons of late nights, early mornings, lots and lots of food and lots and lots of fun.
The whole entire family was under one roof.
There was a lot of loud chaos but that's what family reunions are all about right??!

My dad took us out on his boat and we had so much fun!
The water was beautiful!!

This little guy was afraid of the lake.
I kept asking him why he didn't want to get in the water but he wouldn't tell me.
I finally got it out of him and he said that he was afraid of the sharks in the water.

He passed out while we were on the water.

Since he didn't want to get in the water, all he wanted to do was fish!

Me and the hunny!
I sure do love him.

Captain Papa in all his glory.
He was in heaven out on the water with his kids!

Lani and Collin.

How precious is the picture??!
These two are seriously the best buddies!!

We spent a day on the beach and Nixon loved playing in the sand.
He had so much fun building sand castles.
Taytum didn't totally love the sand.

I tried stand up paddling and it's a lot harder than it looks.
I didn't last very long.

We had such a fun time while we were up there.
It is such a pretty place!
And we loved all the time spent with family.

Family Getaway

In June we decided to take a little getaway to St. George.
The kids were so excited to stay in a hotel and go swimming.
We had so much fun!!!

Our pool had a rock waterfall that Nixon was obsessed with climbing up and jumping off.
He did it over and over and over.
He was in heaven.

Tayti LOVES the water.
She would try and do everything that Nixon did.

Nixon was obsessed with wearing his goggles and sunglasses!

Cute little Tayti bug in her swim suit.
We can't get enough of her.

This little girl seriously has her daddy wrapped around her finger!

I had to post this because I think it's hilarious.
She obviously wasn't happy about something.

It was so fun to get away for a weekend.
The kids had a blast and so did we!

Summer Fun

This summer is already flying by.
We have been so busy having so much fun.
I can't believe it's the middle of June already.

We have spent a lot of time at the splash pad in Spanish Fork.
It's nice because the kids can run and play in the water and I don't have to worry about them as much as I do at the pool or 7 Peaks.

We have also been miniature golfing a few times.
We have the Pass of all Passes, so we're able to go to Trafalga whenever we want.
Nixon LOVES miniature golfing.

While Nixon golfs, Taytum likes to wander around the golf course.

Look at the excitement on his face.
He absolutely loved that truck ride!

We love the warm weather and are taking full advantage of it!

Swimming Lessons

Nixon had swimming lessons for two weeks and loved them.
He loves being in the water and has no fear, so we had to get him in lessons.

Miss Debbie was his teacher and the lessons were at her private pool at her house.
She has a slide and a diving board and those two things were Nixon's absolute favorite part of his lessons.

He's taking after his Mama and becoming quite the little fish!
