Serendipity
Serendipity - an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. ( according to Dictionary.com ) I find myself in this time of social distancing looking for moments of sublime normality. (Oxymoronic, I'm well aware.) Perhaps reading a favorite book for the umpteenth time. Rediscovering the delight in one particular set of window sheers. Potting citronella and lemon thyme to discourage the mosquitoes and gnats from hanging around our door...even if that door isn't being opened regularly. (Which reminds me, I'm not sure when I watered those last. 😳 I'll be right back!) Beyond sublime normality rests those moments of absolute serendipity. Those moments that cause you to say, "What a blessing to have this happen at just this time." Such a moment might entail finally opening a Walmart bag from my mother from well over a year ago, perhaps even two (sorry Mom!), to discover several pairs happy socks (many sporting a Christmas theme) and...wait for...
