A Very Happy Halloween!

I would have to say that this Halloween was probably one of my favorite ones so far!  The girls are to the age where they enjoy every aspect of Halloween including "the scary chain saw dude." Here are a few highlights!
We started Halloween off at the school with the school parade!  Here's Oakley such a scary Mummy!  She walked the gym with her arms out in front of her and dragged a foot behind her!  HILARIOUS! Quite the actress!
Kaybree was a rockstar along with a few other girls in her calss!  She is quite the social butterfly!  After the parade, the forth grade had a program in which Kaybree had a speaking part.  She had to tell a joke, "why do witches fly on brooms? Because, vacuum cleaners are too heavy!"  She did great!
This year it was my turn to help with the Halloween party in Kaybree's class.  Here is Kaybree doing the "mummy wrap".
They also had a do-nut eating contest! She is pretty much a pro at these now!
For dinner on Halloween, our neighbors had a Halloweenie Roast! Such a great idea!  They brought their fire pit out onto their driveway.  We roasted hot dogs and had witches brew! SO CUTE!
Here is the witch that served the brew!
Kaybree and Oakley and a bunch of cute friends enjoying the fire at the weenie roast!
This is the crew we ended up trick-or-treating with!  A FUN BUNCH!  We actually collected a kid!  This poor little boy started following our group.  He was about three years old...He didn't know his last name, but he did know where he lived!  We were able to walk him home back to his frantic parents!  CRAZY!
Oakley was sooooo brave!  This is "the chain saw dude."  The girls have been talking about getting back and this guy all year...He scared the crap out of the girls last year.  Oakley stood her ground as he tried to scare her yet again.  Kaybree was brave at first, but she high tailed it out of there pretty quick!  So funny!
And last, but not least, our neighbors the teletubby and "the chain saw dude" trying to out scare each other!

October Fun!

So far, this October has gone way too fast!
We had lots of fun finding all the witches at Gardner Village!
(Always one of my favorites!)
 Sitting with a witch!
 I love these girls!
The girls and their friends fed the ducks.  Another Gardner Village favorite!
During UEA weekend, we went down to Thanksgiving Point and did Cornbelly's for the first time.  This will definitely be an October tradition!  We loved it!  We seriously spent all day there and could have stayed longer!
I need one of these traps!
 Lost in the corn maze!
The girls debuting their costumes!  Oakster the Mummy, and Kaybree the Rock Star!
Our annual Halloween party at Grandma Janet and Grandpa Dean's house!
 Fun times carving our pumpkins!
This year we had a Halloween party with friends from our townhouse ward. We had SOOOO much fun!
Matt & Liza - Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, Mandi & JJ- Flapper & Gangster, Bryce and I- Bam Bam & Pebbles, Jamie & Tyler- Goonies/ Sloth & Mom, Brooke & Jeremy- Where's Waldo, Marcie & Nate- Survivor contestants
We played "Minute To Win It" games.  Here's Nate playing "junk in the trunk"
Jeremy about to go "Mad Dog" on us!
 Liza mastering "Baby blocking"
 Bryce getting frustrated with "Ka-Broom"
 Me concentrating on "separation anxiety"
And last but not least, our little family at our ward "Trunk or Treat".

Six Months in Six Seconds!

Where do I even start?  I guess I'll give y'all a quick recap of the last six months...
So after St. Patrick's Day was April Fools Day....
This is what Bryce and I did to the girls...

And, this is how the girls retaliated...
Stinkers...I don't know where they get it from?

Then I was bored...So I painted Debbie's house.  Debbie is a cute lady in my ward. Her son was on a mission and coming home soon....She wanted him to come home to a nice house.  She asked me to help her decorate, but I just so happened to have a five gallon bucket of extra paint.  I recruited my friend Amy to help.  Long story short, we painted her whole house! (way fun experience) Her walls were all white, now they are beige..It's kind of hard to see in the pics.
Here are some before and afters.

Then came summer.  Of course we had a blast
 Fun in Lake Powell
Then school started way too soon!
Kaybree and her first day of 4th grade!
Oakley on her first day of 2nd Grade
 New outfits and backpacks
Before we knew it, we were off track already, so we went to Las Vegas...
Family picture at Hoover Dam
After being off track, the girls went back to school and again I was bored.  So I went and got a job at Dr. Rosvall's.  I am assisting there now!  Yay!
And voila!  You are all caught up! Hopefully I won't wait another 6 months to blog!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

What the heck? I didn't get pictures of my kids! :( I did however get pictures of the destructive mess the leprechaun left behind!
At least he left prizes! Lucky Charms...
and a path of Rolo's
A messy room!
A failed Leprechaun trap! Maybe next year girls!

Dr. Seuss Day

Last week was Dr. Seuss's birthday. All the kids were able to dress up as one of their favorite characters. After raiding the costume box, this is what we came up with...
Kaybree is Fancy Nancy! Not exactly a Dr. Seuss Character, but what do they expect with one evenings notice?!
Oakley insisted on wearing her "Cat in the Hat" hat that her teacher made for her last year!
Perfect!

Off Track!

What do we do while the girls are off track?
We hitch a ride, with this hottie, down to St. George!
The girls put on their new swimsuits and swim in heated pools...
And I sit under palm trees and read books!
LiFe Is GoOd!
