The kids are into digging holes out in the dirt. I didn't think they meant anything, they are just holes. Well, last night Aaron and I were talking about it and here is our conversation:

Aaron: Did you know they are traps?
Me: No, what for?
Aaron: I don't know, but they got me.
Me: What?
Aaron: Yeah, the other day they told me to come step on this piece of dirt and leaves. It kind of looked like a little mud so I stepped on it and my foot dropped into this hole filled with water - past my boot. The girls thought it was pretty funny.

It still cracks me up thinking about my girls planning these traps. . . maybe I will be next.

Second of all, lately Wyatt cannot take a picture with the girls without splitting his legs, maybe he is thinking about Halloween or something.

A Weekend in Fallon

Friday

We went to the 4-H Livestock Show. Brad and Kathryn's boy, Micah, entered a pig. We went to see what it was all about.

The girls and Wyatt hanging out with Harry Porker, Micah's pig.
Wyatt stayed close to Brad or Kathryn the entire time. He thought the pigs were "So Scareee".
Ashley observing from a distance.
It didn't take long till she was right in the middle of it.
Dallin just chilled.
And then they had fun watching the showing. Micah did very well and came in at 4th place in showmanship! Yeah Micah!

The whole atmosphere was fun. In my head I like the idea of my kids doing this someday. When it comes down to the everyday taking care of a pig I don't know if I will think it is so great. . . We will see.

SaturdayWe entered some bears into the library's fundraiser, The Teddy Bear Tea. Wyatt was completely pleased that he won the clown bear, he tried so hard not to smile. He came home with an armful of puzzles. We didn't tell him that he was the only entry.
Ashley's bear is on the left, she did Arts and Crafts Bear, Kailyn did Princess Bear, and Wyatt with his Clown bear.

Sunday
And here is Gabbs. . .I have to say this was one of the best Sundays in a while. Sundays generally aren't my favorite but today was great. Sign me up every month! (Well, as long as they only do one meeting) I had Aaron to myself all day, we only had Sacrament meeting, we ate lunch in a park. . .it was quite pleasant. (Never mind that the entire trip to Gabbs we had two sad, crying, upset girls who were starving. Their breakfast they had eaten 30 minutes before that must not have digested or something. Aaron and I couldn't quit laughing about it, it was ridiculously funny, which probably made it worse.) Anyway, we went to Gabbs and provided the speakers for the Sacrament meeting program. Ashley and Kailyn gave great talks, Wyatt even bore his testimony, I spoke, Ashley played the violin and Aaron spoke. I am sure they appreciated us coming because we doubled their numbers.

There is just something about small Nevada towns. . .We past a few houses and then there was just desert. Ashley asked if that was Gabbs. . . yep, that was Gabbs!
