Emily's Country

Emily had to create a country for Social Studies and make a 3-D map.  Here is her creation.  She had a lot of fun with this.  She had a key that shows what everything means, but the only thing I can remember is the blue blob with the red tail is a whale :)

Snow

We got quite a bit of snow.  The kids had a lot of fun playing in it.  They enjoyed throwing snowballs at the glass window, eating it, and building snowmen These are some of my favorite pictures of them playing in the snow.

Friends

Our neighbors across the street are awesome.  They have a little boy that is JJ's age and a little girl that is a year younger than Asher.  Asher and Charlotte have a love/hate relationship.  One minute they will be hitting each other and then next they are hugging.  It is very cute to watch.  They are always trying to be close to the other person and they will have little conversations with each other that you can't understand.  Asher is always begging to go see "baby".  He will point across the street and say "baby" and then he throws a fit when I won't take him.  I loved these pictures showing the love/hate that went on one day when I was watching Charlotte and her brother.

Halloween Candy

Maddie and JJ have had a lot of fun playing with their Halloween Candy.   They like to make fancy creations with them.  Here are a few of their creations:

I think they had more fun making the creations than eating their candy.

Boise Temple Open House

We went up to Boise over the weekend to work on some things on our house and to attend the Open House for the Boise Temple before they rededicated it.  We had a great time visiting with Grandpa, Ben and Sara, and the Dynes family.  We were even able to go to the open house with the Dynes and Grandpa.  Here are some pictures that we took while we were at the temple.

Pictures of Asher

8 months

9 months

10 months

11 months

1 year
I have been really bad about updating.  Here are the remainder of Asher's pictures on his 1 month birthdays.  I will do another post later with his birthday cake (those pictures are on my mom's camera because I forgot mine when we went to their house)  At 1 year Asher was 20 lbs 7 oz and 29 1/2 in long.  I think he has been my biggest one year old so far which is great since he is so sensitive to foods and I had a hard time finding a formula to feed him.

Maddie's 5th Birthday

I can't believe Maddie is 5!  For her birthday we went to Build-a-Bear and made bears to add feeding tubes to and give to Primary Children's Hospital.  She had lots of fun doing that.  In the evening we went and saw Joe at work at Liberty Tax.  We ate dinner, opened presents and had cupcakes while we were there because they were really slow.  Maddie is such a sweetheart.  I am glad that she is in our family.

Joe's 34th Birthday

Joe's birthday was on the 12th.  We had a fun day celebrating as a family and then had cake and he opened presents after dinner.
Joe listening to us sing the birthday song.
This was Asher's first time eating cake.  He LOVED it!

Julie's Visit

Joe's sister Julie came to visit us during her spring break in March.  It was so much fun having her here and we are so happy she came.  We tried to do lots of fun stuff while she was here.  We went to the aquarium, toured a candy factory, went to a sculpture garden and enjoyed time talking.

Hand Foot and Mouth Disease

JJ and Asher with spots on their faces
The last couple weeks we have been quarantined with Hand, Foot, and Mouth.  JJ and Asher were the first ones to get it.  They both got fevers and then a couple of days later the spots showed up.  At first we weren't sure if it was HFM or Chicken Pox because they had it covering their whole body and not just the areas that are normally affected.  JJ had already been vaccinated for chicken pox so when they both didn't get any spots after the first day we knew that it was HFM.  Maddie and Emily got it the next week.  It was a good thing the boys got it first because neither of them ever got any spots.  We wouldn't have known what it was if we hadn't seen the boys with it first.

Luckily they were both in really good moods after their fevers broke.  I don't think they had very many in their mouths and the ones on their body didn't really bug them.
