Another great date night

This past weekend we had the chance to go out on a much needed date night.  Greg has been working crazy long hours the past week and will continue to do so this week, so had to get out together last weekend.  We went to a local Thai place that was really popular, so we ended up waiting over an hour an a half to get into.  It was worth it though because the food was so yummy! I love finding places like that.

Selfie shot with Seoul Tower behind us

While we were waiting to get seated, we saw this little girl playing with a toy on a very busy alley road.  For some reason it made me so sad that this little girl has to play in this super crazy busy road.  She seemed like it was totally normal, but it made me sad for he that she doesn't have any green space to play on. That is one thing I really miss; more grass areas to play on!

The sunset was so beautiful that night as well.  Over all, it was a great night!

A comfortable way to relax

I was really tired one afternoon, so we all played down to watch a show together.  Easton decided sitting on my face was his favorite way to relax.  He stayed like that for a solid 10 minutes or more.  I would have moved him sooner, but he never sits still that long so I had to document it. :)

First barbershop hair cuts

I have been cutting the boys hair since they were little, but I decided to take them to a salon on base to get back to school hair cuts.  The boys loved it and felt so grown up. Of course I forgot to take a pictures but they looked so cute!  They didn't cut off as much as I had hoped on Kayden, so we might have to go back and get a touch up, but it will work for now.  This might become a more regular thing since it was so nice to not have to fight the boys to get their hair cut.

Another splash pad

This splash pad is down the block from our apartment, and when we can catch it we love to go.

Easton is normally more content to watch the water from far away.

Playing in a cement river

There is a cement river type thing in our complex that was just filled with water a couple of weeks ago.  We went swimming in it one night and the kids loved it.  We found out shortly into our time playing in it that it not ok to swim in it by a local guard.  Oh well, we had fun while it lasted!

Day trip to the science museum

I decided to play hooky one day and to take the kids to play at a local science museum. It was fun to drop all our plans and to go out and explore together.  I really need to do that more often since I feel like I get caught up in the day to day too much.

The boys had fun playing on the subway on the way there.

They had these fun robots that danced.  The boys loved it!

There was this robotic T-Rex that Deagan wanted to show us. (He went to this museum on a field trip with his school in the Spring, so he was our personal tour guide. )

Watches from the museum!

It was over all a really fun day despite a few hiccups. Kayden did get lost at one point that was super scary, but after a lot of praying we found him.  He was so upset that we left him.  Poor guy. We recovered quickly though and we continued to have a fun day.

I love having fun with these boys!

Close Friends

I loved this picture of the boys and their friends one afternoon.  There is all that couch space around them, but yet they chose to all sit super close and squeezed into one another. :)

Bath time fun

Yellow Belts

The boys have been doing taekwondo during the summer, and they have been doing so well! At the end of last month they advanced to a yellow belt! They even got to break boards which they thought was the coolest thing ever. Hopefully they will get to move on to the next belt (orange) before the summer is over!

Picture time with Easton

This boy does so many cute things that I feel like I could follow him around all day and document his fun little antics.

Long Hair

Easton's hair has grown so much the past few months.  It was so long in the front that it would get in his eyes and mouth while he was eating.  I put it up in a ponytail while he was eating one morning and it looked just so darn cute that I kept in his hair the rest of the day.

When Greg got home that day though he was not so thrilled with it, so I trimmed his bangs while he was sleeping that night. (He is just too busy to cut his hair while he is awake) I don't love how it turned out, but at least its out of his eyes and Greg doesn't think I am trying to turn him into a girl. :)

Date Night

Greg and I have been blessed with the opportunity to go out on dates almost weekly since moving here.  There are so many teenagers on base that we use for date night, and we have a weekly babysitting swap with some friends. Our favorite things to do are go to the movies, go out to eat, and eat Korean shaved ice.  At least thats my favorite thing to do. I am so grateful for this handsome man and for our weekly dates!

It can be hard to wait for food!

The boys were all a little impatient while I was making breakfast one morning. Especially Easton it seemed as he was trying to eat the table.  I love funny moments like this in parenthood.  It reminds me not to take things so serious.  I just love these boys!

Morning Bike Ride

One of my favorite things to do before anyone else is awake is to go for a run or for a bike ride.  It can be hard to get up so early, but so worth it in the end.  I also love all the beautiful sun rises I have seen on these early morning workouts. These pictures are from a bridge during a morning bike ride.  It is moments like this when I am reminded that we live in such a cool place.  Look at those views!

Seoul Color Run

I had the chance to run the Color Run in July which was really a walk instead of a run.  There were so many people there and they would stop every 10 feet it felt to take a selfie. While it wasn't necessarily my favorite race I have ever done, I'm still glad to have had the experience in the Olympic stadium, and I loved all the swag I got.

When in Korea...

A common thing to do for Koreans is to eat food outside at a park, so one afternoon that's just what we did.  Ramen is a popular thing to eat, so we went to a local 7-11 and bought some ramen to take to a park right by the river close to our apartment. We also brought a long some chopstick to work on our chopstick skills.  Lets just say we have a lot of work to do before we are able to eat ramen with chopsticks. :)

Splash Pad at Camp Humphries

There is a military base South of Yongsan that has the greatest splash park and swimming pool.  Greg took the day off on day, and we spent the day there as a family.  I was terrible at getting pictures and only got the bottom two of Easton.  The kids ask to go back daily, but it is kind of expensive and quite the hike to get there.  We hope to make it at least once a summer though while we live here!

Easton thankfully was able to get a nap in the wagon we brought.  It wasn't a very long nap, but long enough to keep him happy while we swimmed!

Glasses

Kayden loves to put on Deagan's glasses from time to time because he wants to have glasses like Greg and Deagan.  There is a table at our church where people can bring stuff to donate to other members, and Kayden found these glasses there one Sunday.  He wore them pretty faithfully for a few days after that, and it was just so funny to me!

Modeling in Korea

A very common thing for foreigners to do in Korea is to model. Kayden got the chance to model a few weeks ago and totally love it! He is so use to attention being on his older brother or younger brother, so having something just for was just what he needed. It was also so fun to just spend the day with him. I hope he can continue to do this in the future!

Happy Play!

Our kids are like normal kids and they fight and get crazy a lot.  When they are playing quiet and peacefully I have to document it to remember that they do love each other.

I found Easton just playing laying down one morning quietly and I thought it was so funny because it didn't look comfortable at all.  He was loving it though!

Easton has really gotten into playing with toys the past few months, so he loves to play with the boys when they are in their room.  The older boys don't really love it though. :)
