Thoughts of You

 Just doing a fun challenge today
that has been years since I have participated at
Less Is More and the theme is one layer card FLOWERS.

I used a very old stamp set for this from JustRite   Poppies Label Twenty Nine
and the sentiment is from SNS Poppies set.

 A few years ago from Stampendous I believe it was,
I won a set of Tombow Dual Brush Pens  and those are
what I used to color my flowers.

I thought it looked a bit plain at the top

so I scored two lines for a bit of decor!

Just Saying Hello

I have another fun challenge for today and it is
Memory Box Pretty Purples

The Memory Box dies I have used for this challenge are
Vivienne Butterfly Silhouette ( that's the die you see underneath my butterfly,
I love how it cuts the opening from my purple card stock
with the butterfly image.
and the Stitched Vivienne Butterfly which I don't think is available anymore.

The great thing about this die is it is exactly the same size as the first butterfly die
for a perfect fit!

This is really a pretty card IRL as it is 3D as I have shown below.

The papers used in and out are gorgeous and are 
The Paper Boutique Lavender Fields.

I am playing in a first time, new to me challenge at 

Pink Fresh Studio Alpha/Words Challenge

I had to join in as I had purchased a fabulous alpha die set Kelly Alpha Lower Case.

Put together with some pretty Mintay paper from Lovely Day,

a sentiment from Pink Fresh Studio Simply Sentiments Hello
( I used the word birthday from sentiment birthday girl,
just eliminating from inking the girl part) 
and I have a pretty card for an upcoming birthday,

Isn't that the prettiest alpha set?

Makes you think of and want Spring, doesn't it!

Hoppy Day

Today our new challenge starts at
The Sisterhood of Crafters
with the easiest theme ever "ANYTHING GOES'!
Since I design for two different die stores I try my best
to use stamps whenever I can on my other Design Teams.

I purchased this stamp last year I think along with another
one when it was first released at Spellbinders.
These cutsie stamps always appeal to me. 

I stamped her and colored her with Copics.
The sentiment is part of the stamp set...so cute!

Take a peek over at The Sisterhood and see what my 'sistahs' 
have created!  I don't know about you but I do
some of my shopping after seeing what others have created,
or is THAT called enabling lol!!

Flower Wish

 This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today

Today I am using the Flower Wish die.
A simple die with so many uses it is sure to be a favorite.

This is a great die that can be used for birthdays, get well,
just about any occasion you can think of!

I have three variations and the first one is probably
the fanciest!

I added a pretty designer paper, a sparkle-y bow
and a flower after die cutting and adhering to a dotted rectangle.

The second card I die cut from white card and used copics to
color the flower and stem.
Two strips of card stock were added to each side
with a designer paper in the middle.

The final card I layered one cross stitch rectangle inside
another to make a frame, then used another one to add my wish flower to,
the flower was colored with Copics as well.

Just For Fun Challenges

 Good Saturday morning!
Today I am playing in a couple of challenges that I was able
to combine one card for both!
The first is The Flower Challenge which is to use
your latest stamps or dies.

That worked perfectly for me as I had just received a 'hefty' order from Altenew
and one of the sets were the Fabulous Florets set.
I had seen a card worked up on another blog and it immediately enabled me to
seek it out!

Which brings us to the other challenge, this one being from Altenew themselves!

ON my screen the color looked purple but I see some saw it as a
pinkish color, I saw both used at the challenge so I guess it is how YOU see it on your screen!

I have several of these layering stamps and can't seem to get enough of them
so you are surely to see more here down the road!

The paper I used has spots in it's design and I wish I had been slightly more

careful in my use of it with the spots.  It is from P13.

I also invited my BFF Dar from Dar's Crafty Creations to join me
so be sure to check out her beautiful card as well!

Heart and Hugs

 It's a new challenge theme starting today at
Double D Challenges and the theme is
Anything With A Heart.

We have a heartfelt mood board to help inspire!

I created my card using the mood board (upper left corner) for inspiration.

I have used this stamp only once before a long long time ago
and thought it was time it saw ink again!

My card is pretty simple but I like the outcome of it

just using a few simple products which I have listed below!

Flower Friends

This is my post on the Tutti Designs blog today: 

Hello Tutti Design fans!

Today I have three different cards using the pretty
Flower Friends die.

For the first card I turned the flower on it's side
showing the word straight on!

I placed it on a cross stitched rectangle
then used another rectangle from the set for my sentiment.

A twine bow and a cute heart button were added to finish. 

For my next card I centered the flower the long way
on a scalloped rectangle,
die cutting the flower from two different papers
then paper piecing one on the other.

Three glitter butterflies were added.

The third card I die cut the flower from white card
then used glitter pens to color both the flower and 'stem',
added a small twine bow and centered it on three layers

of a nesting stitched rectangle.

Middle of the month and that means it's time for a new challenge
at Dies R Us and as always our theme is ANYTHING GOES!

To me February is a month dedicated to hearts
so that is where I went today, 'Heartland'! 

I purchased this pretty Poppystamps Round About Heart die
awhile back and this is the first time I have used it.
I cut it from a a piece of  plain white cardstock then added a
piece of pretty designer paper underneath cut with a Tutti Design nested circle,
it fit perfectly under it!

Here is a close up, isn't it a pretty die?

For the sentiment I cut a rectangle from Tutti Designs Nested Rectangles
then stamped my sentiment (Pink Fresh Studio) and
die cut just a small portion of the Round About die
clipping off a few hearts to add!

 Another pink card for me today using a LOVE die
from Tutti Designs..

I love the pink gingham background, something about gingham
that just makes a card.  I placed my LOVE on a doily die cut
and added a few glitter hearts to finish...
an easy mailer, I like that!

Pink Valentine

 Today I have a card just for fun all pretty in pink.
It fits the season really well right now being Valentines is two days away.
I had planned on sending out Valentine cards but never got even ONE
in the mail, so mad at myself for that as I surely have a lot
I could of sent!

For this card I used a few older dies from Tutti Designs
and Spellbinders, not sure whose the vellum butterfly is
maybe Cheery Lynn designs?

The pretty gingham ribbon is from Really Reasonable ribbon.
I haven't been using ribbon on my cards for quite awhile since
postage has risen so much.

Smile Like The Sun

 It' time for a new challenge at 
The Sisterhood of Crafters and it just happens that I am the hostess
and chose the theme
Smile Like The Sun.

I don't know if you have ever heard of Uncle Kracker and his song
Smile Like The Sun or not
but you can see his video and hear it here,
such a happy song and it's been so brutally cold here in Michigan
we all need a little sunshine!

I used a favorite stamp of mine from Hampton Art
and a sun and cloud die from Cottage Cutz.

The sentiment was heat embossed with a fine black embossing powder.

Just a simple card, simple to make, simple to mail!
Can you believe I used to sing this song to my dog Nellie
when she was alive...poor poor Nellie
but she was my sunshine for sure, I loved her so much
another victim to cancer..sad!!

Conversation Hearts

This is my post on the Tuttit Designs blog today. 

Hello, today I have a card using one of the newly released

slimline dies Diamond Background.
Check out the store for all the new slimline dies we have to offer,
there are 22 to choose from!

I also used the Tutti Designs cross stitch nesting hearts
for my what I am calling conversation hearts card.
I used the two smallest in the set.
My card stock scraps came in handy for this card.

Once the hearts were cut I stamped some fun sentiments on them
making them 'true' conversation hearts,
I added the smaller plain hearts to fill in the spaces.

Be Unique

Good afternoon, the morning sure has gotten away from me
guess that happens when you have a DRs. appointment
and a trip to the cell phone store!

I am adding a card to the Turners Syndrome blog hop challenge
where you can read all about it HERE if you want to join in
and though it is NOT about the prizes
there are some great ones to be had
but I encourage you to read the importance of this hop!! 

In trying to keep within the color palate of the challenge I decided to use
one of my favorite Memory Box Collage dies, Reverse Butterfly Collage.

I added a lime green paper underneath, stamped with a sentiment
I thought perfect for Turner's and added a few gems to the butterflies.

Valentine Love At Double D

 It's the first Wednesday of February and that means a new
challenge starts at Double D!

I don't know about you but I am ready to see the last
of January go bye bye, it is such a cold and dreary month
here in Michigan!

We have a fun theme and mood board and it is
Valentine LOVE !

For my card I let 3 of the 4 tiles inspire me
and was able to use some never before used before
supplies to create my card.

I loved the cute little gnomes in the bottom left tile
and knew I had a stamp set that a gnome that resembled 
the one in the picture.
Gee, I have so many cute gnome stamps that I have never
used yet so it was time I pulled one out!

I also thought the paper in the background looked somewhat like
the paper in the bottom right tile.
and of course I used a banner stamp that resembles the bottom left tile
and a wreath from the top left.

That's pretty much it for me but make sure to
check out all the gorgeous creations at Double D
from the design teams
and don't forget we have a fabulous prize offered up as well, I won't show

It's A Girl Thing Turner Syndrome Blog Hop

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Welcome to my project for the "It's A Girl Thing: Turner Syndrome Awareness 3rd Annual Blog Hop and for this year we have added a Card Challenge so that more people can play along with us!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing partial or all of her second X chromosome leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities.  This condition occurs one in every 2,000 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term.  That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Prize Winners will be announced on March 13th, 2021.

Wow, what a great opportunity it is to learn about
Turner Syndrome, something I knew nothing about until I joined this group
three years ago  Did you know:

.Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing her second X Chromosome, leaving her with life long medical issues. It affects 1 in every 2,000 to 2,500 girls but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to term (miscarriages and stillbirths). TS is named after Dr. Henry Turner, who discovered the condition in 1938. 
I didn't either until I joined this hop, lots to learn here not only about Turner Syndrome
but the life long journey/commitment it entails! I know it is mentioned above, but I thought important enough

to mention once again!!

For my card I used one of the digitals created and designed by Jan Mayhew,
so cute and sweet and perfect to represent our
It's a girl thing hop/challenge!

I printed my fairy rather large as I knew I wanted to create a
slimline card.  The dies are Spellbinders.  I stamped the sentiment
using a stamp from my days at SNS.

I added the bow as I will be hand delivering this card to my

granddaughter as she has a birthday next month

so no postage needed!
