The colors of Autumn can be beautiful even with the rain falling! Yesterday I took just a few minutes from my housework to step outside and to enjoy the beginning changes in the color of the trees. If you look closely you can see the raindrops on the leaves, our area has been very dry and the ground is happily receiving the moisture of the rain!
I hope you are able to enjoy the beauty in your area, God has blessed us in so many ways!

bittersweet...
This term "bittersweet" it could mean the berries that are growing roadside in the Fall ~ OR ~ maybe "bitter sweet" that I am still without a camera and seeing so many gorgeous Fall like things to be photographed! It really has not been that long that my camera needed to be returned to Canon, so I am trying to be patient (kind of patient) ;-p SOOOOOOOOO I am relying on pictures that are in my picture files that didn't quite make it into my blog in the past! I love "Bittersweet" the Fall berries, they look pretty by themselves or mixed into a fall bouquet! I am not quite sure why this picture didn't quite make it before, but I am glad I found it to use now :>)!ENJOY!

traveling...
Actually it is the much *blogged* about quilt that will begin its travels for display and hopefully bringing in lots of $$ for the Kelsey's Dream Foundation. Our local communities are supportive of the projects that will help bring in revenue for the Cancer Camp program. It is very heart warming to contact a business for permission to display the quilt and sell the raffle tickets, and to hear an enthusiastic and positive response. The business managers have offered so much more in wanting to help with the displays then we ever anticipated.
When Mickey approached Kelsey's family with the desire to create a quilt to be raffled as part of the fall festival in memory of her special friend Kelsey, it was a venture that has had many moments of amazement! God allowed that everything fell perfectly into place, design, fabrics, piecing and quilting all came together. Now the quilt is to the point of producing what is hoped to be a substantial amount for the camp that meant so much to Kelsey and her family.
Thank you Mickey for caring so deeply about your special friend Kelsey, the quilt is a true statement of your friendship and love!

bummed...
Without saying much I bet you can tell what this message is, a camera that has a malfunction! What to do, oh what to do (?) first ask anyone that knows anything about a digital camera, and I asked! The problem being that pictures taken during the weekend look like they have melted. Truly a picture that is so blurry and distorted it really looks "like melted candle wax" a big old pile of blurry picture that did not begin to look like anything.
Suggestion and computer search by my son (whom I might add is very patient with this mom) indicates a call to Canon would be the way to go! A call tonight to a very helpful "tech guy" confirms I do have a problem! The best part is, the camera is on recall, it will be replaced or repaired at NO COST to me!! It seems a faulty part has been used in manufacturing the camera, and it has been causing problems for many cameras!
To Canon Manuf. I say "thank you for your honesty" and "thank you for accepting the responsibility" for the repair of my camera! In my eyes this honesty and offer of repair or replacement is what makes a difference for me with future purchases!
This whole camera malfunction will make my family smile, because they have enjoyed joking (in a kind way) about my having a camera in hand more then ever these days! Well family you are safe for just a few short weeks...Canon promises my camera will return soon!

relax...
Happy Labor Day!
A beautiful day in PA, the sky is so blue and invites us to "relax", but it is Labor Day so we labor! My hubby is busy with an outside project and I am busy with inside chores...fitting for a day called Labor Day don't you think?
Another invitation to "relax", is this beautiful porch and the furniture that just begs for one to relax and chat with a friend or family. Lemonade or Iced Tea please, nope Labor Day makes us think labor so we do. (Thanks to my son and his family for allowing me to snap this picture). They too work much to hard and do not take enough time to "relax", love you Mike and family!
