35 week appoinment (early)

I called the nurse today because for the past few nights I have been struggling to breath. It felt like a long contraction without any relief. Eventually it would just go away. The nurse said she wanted me to come in today to be seen. (My original appointment was for Thursday). The doctor measured my belly and I still was 2 weeks ahead. Then we listened to the heartbeat and it was fine. She said the problem with my breathing could be Peyton's size (there is no where for her to go) or from the contractions... or even a combination. So basically I have to suck it up and accept that its part of being pregnant. Ha. The doctor checked my cervix and I am already 1cm dilated. She said she will be checking me weekly now to check my progress. She ordered an ultrasound I was able to see Peyton. She was all snuggled in my placenta once again so it was hard to get a really good look at her. The tech said Peyton was 5 lbs. 8 ozs. (55th percentile) and her fluid looked good.

We have a confirmed due date... March 3, 2009 at 12pm. The doctor doesn't want to take her before that and said this was the best date for us. So mark your calendars. :)

I start my weekly appointments so I go back next Thursday for my 36th week appointment!!

Full Hands

I have my hands full with my 2 year old. He is such a character these days. Hunter loves all of his Disney movies and can pretty much tell you what is about to happen and knows the majority of the dialouge. Tonight we were playing upstairs and Hunter said, "Shh mommy.. hear that? It's the wind of change." Now if you have seen Monsters Inc. that line should ring a bell. I just cracked up because it was so random and he told me that is what Randall said. He still loves watching Christmas movies, which drives Eric nuts. His favorite is The Grinch with Jim Carrey. Hunter loves to stand up with his arm up in the arm (exactly like the Grinch) and say, "I'm the Grinch who stole Christmas." He is so hilarious! Of course he is still in love with Cars and can recite that movie from start to finish. What's funny about all of this is that he really doesn't watch a lot of tv/movies. So the fact that he can remember so much is amazing.

Hunter's other thing is singing. He knows all the theme songs in his movies and he knows the main nursery rhymes. He cracks himself up when he makes up his own songs and then will sing them at the top of his lungs. I think he is planning on being an entertainer when he gets older!

I am still feeling pretty good even though I feel like my waddling is getting worse and I am not able to get around and quickly as I used to. I am also exhausted by the end of the day and ready for bed by 9pm. I am still trying to get some final things for Peyton and her room will be completed when my mom gets in town. Other than that, I feel like I am ready for her to get here. I am starting to work with Hunter about him doing more things for himself. I have spoiled my child by doing too many things for him and carrying him around when he wants me to. He isn't going to like it much when Peyton gets here and has to share mommy. So hopefully we can work some things out before then.

My friend is hosting a shower for me next week and I am so excited. It will be fun to hangout with the girls and celebrate Peyton! I can't believe I have less than 2 months to go. Ahhh. :)

Peyton - 33 Weeks

I will be 33 weeks tomorrow and I had my bi-weekly doctor's appointment today. I gained about 3 pounds, blood pressure was good, baby's heartbeat was good, and my belly was still measuring 2 weeks ahead (35cm).

The doctor said everything was looking great. She instructed me to go ahead and stop the baby aspirin. Then she said that we needed to start talking about the surgery! Ahhh! She went ahead and put me on the schedule for the beginning of March. She said we will do an ultrasound in two weeks and then see how she is doing (size, fluid, etc). So after my appointment in two weeks, I go weekly until my scheduled c-section. Wow!

Before I left I had to get some bloodwork to check my blood count and make sure I wasn't anemic. Peyton is going to be here in no time! I am soooo anxious and soooo excited! :)

Thank You Honey!

Eric surprised me tonight with an early birthday present. He got me a new 26" flat screen tv for the bedroom. I absoultely love it and now I can actually see the tv from our bed. We used to have a little one but it was impossible to see and Hunter had a hard time watching his cartoons from the floor. Now we are set!! So thank you very much for the gift honey! I love it and I love you!

Peyton 3D Ultrasound - 31 weeks, 3 days

(Picture is of Peyton's face and shoulder. Her mouth is open. There are more
pictures on flickr so check them out!)

Today I had my 3D ultrasound for Peyton. Unfortuantely when we started the technician pointed out that since my placenta is attached to the front of my uterus, we would have a hard time getting a clear picture of Peyton. The first thing we saw were Peyton's chubby cheeks (thanks daddy!). For the longest time Peyton had her hands in front of her face so I was having to flip from one side to the other. The technician was being really rough with my belly to try to get Peyton to change positions but Peyton wasn't having it. Great, stubborn child already! She finally moved enough to where we could make out her eyes, nose, and mouth. She was smiling a lot and make funny expressions. I was able to see her chest, knees, hands, feet, and confirm once again that Peyton was a girl. We switched to 2D mode and could tell that Peyton had a little bit of hair on the back of her head. She will probably come out like Hunter..bald!

Although I wasn't totally happy with the experience because I didn't get to see much, I was able to see my baby and see that she was healthy. She had a good heartbeat and the tech said she looked healthy. The tech couldn't give me any measurements but I will get those soon enough. My next appointment is in a week and a half so I am eager to see what she says!

I can't wait to meet my little girl and hold her in my arms. Thank you God!
