We took some of Brenna's BYU Lax team boating up at Deer Creek.
The girls surfed, ate, hung out, tanned, and laughted a lot.
When everyone was done, Robert went out for a quick surf.
When he fell, the board shot up and hit him in the head.
Blood everywhere. With a boat full of BYU students, surely there wouls be one studying nursing, medicine, physical therapy, something? Nada. So Brenna took the lead on checking the wound and applying pressure with a boat towel. She believed that stitches or staples were necessary. So while I tried ti hold the towel against his head, Robert drove the boat back to the ramp, loaded it onto the trailer, and drove the truck & boat down the canyon. Meanwhile, Aubrey was at home finding the nearest InstaCare and getting him registered.
Came out of InstaCare with 6 staples and a nice gauge bandage warpped aroung his head and with a horrible headache, yet he still drove home, as I have never felt compfortable driving on the freeway pulling the boat.
Luckily the stitched can be removed a few says before our Lake Powell trip!😄
