Weekly Laugh
I've decided to make the 'Daily Laugh' a Weekly Laugh'. This is because I'm not always going to have the time to post one every day.
I will be planning on adding the Weekly Laugh on Sundays.
Here is this week's Weekly Laugh.

P.S.- I'm sorry for layout changes. I'm using the Blogger app on my Kindle Fire instead of my PC.

Crafty Comments
The first 5 people to leave a comment on this blog will receive something made by me. However there are some limitations:
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done this year.
4. You have not a clue what it is going to be; poetry, shoes, bags or a little invention of my own. I may even bake something and mail it you! Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. It may blow your mind!
Here's the catch... if you choose to do this, you must post this on your blog and be ready to make something for five people too. This will be fun! And, when you receive the fabulous item I make you, you must post a picture of it on your blog. Or if you don't have a blog, send me a photo and I will post it! Ready....Set....Comment!

Extreme Make Over Home Edition, Las Vegas NV
March 12-17, 2009 Las Vegas, NV
My friend Jen and I have been having fun going to the Extreme Make Over Home Edition house here in Las Vegas. We have been going every other day. Tomorrow is the big reveal...which we want to go but heard they expect 5000 people to be there. We don't want to fight the crowds so we might just go earlier in the day to check the progress and see if we can get a glimpse of Ty Pennington. Here are some of the photos and video that I have taken so far.
Thur. March 12th -Demolition day
When we got there the house was GONE! Just a bunch of debris that was being cleared by workers....even the foundation was demolished! This debris was carried away in these huge trucks like in the photos. Wish I would have gotten there earlier to get a picture of the house before it was tore down.
On our way to the house we walked right by the big "Move that Bus" bus. That's Izzy and her friend Jaelyn. When we walked by the bus on the way home, the driver was in it, but he wouldn't give us a tour. It's very luxurious. The photo doesn't do it justice.
The foundation was poured last night and only needed 3 hours to cure. When we got there the framing was all done and they were dry walling and applying the stucco plaster on the exterior. We ran into Edwardo Xol, a member of the design team.
As I was watching all the construction workers I couldn't believe how much was going on all at the same time. I took this video to show how noisy it was. We really had to talk loud to hear each other talk. They also wanted to have the spectators cheer on the construction workers. Very interesting what goes into this big production!

This is what the house looked like after about an hour of work! Amazing!

The exterior is almost done. Landscaping is half completed and the interior has been painted. They were putting the finishing touches on the outside, like installing the outdoor lighting and touching up the door frame and garage door (which by the way is so cool...it's made out of some kind of material that you can see out of, but you can't see in!) Solar panels are being installed on the roof. This is a zero energy house. It also has an elevator, pool and art studio for the kids. The neighbors also got new landscaping due to all the construction wear and tear.
While we were there they started filming a segment where Didi (designer) was talking about the solar panels. (Video coming soon)
We also got interviewed by channel 13 news. What a day!
