Party Time

Hello everyone! AmandineC here today, how are you doing?

I am delighted to share with you a card in which I had fun altering the TURKEY TALK set.

I stamped the image twice on the same paper, and then I cut the tail to create a crazy hat for my turkey.

The speech bubble is also from the Turkey Talk set, and I used a sentiment from PHOTO BOOTH, as well as some sequins on a background created using distress inks as watercolors.

Have you ever played with your images to create new ones?  I'd love to see!

Happy Birthday Cards by May

Hey everybody! It's May here today sharing one layer birthday cards. I wanted to create my own stamped background using various images from Photo Booth, and here are what I came up with:

I started by stamping the sentiment from Just for You with black pigment ink. Next, I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. After making off the edges of my card base with sticky notes, I stamped the images and words from Photo Booth, and then filled in the gap with tiny confetti images from Just for You and Falling Flakes.

I made another card using different color combination. Which one do you like? Hope you loved my cards and got some inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!

Quick and simple one layer Christmas cards (using non-christmas stamps)

Hello crafty peeps,

it's Christine.
I have 3 types of quick and easy Christmas cards to share. I guess you all know them:

Many people start mass-producing cards for Christmas, so I thought I'd share three one layer cards that can easily be mass-produced.. They're all quick and easy, but some are even quicker that others ;) And the best thing: You don't even need any Christmas stamps for the following projects:

Type 1: "There's plenty of time left, so I'll mix some techniques"
  • Ink your On the corner die with Versamark before you place it on your cardbase and run it through your die-cut-machine
  • Remove the die and sprinkle on some glittery embossing powder to accentuate the cut frame. Heat emboss.
  • Stamp the sentiment from on the corder additions.
  • Add some sequins (Birthday Bash Mix) and gems
  • stick some washi tape to the bottom of the card
  • round the top corners.

Type 2: "November already, let's do something less time consuming"

  • Stamp and emboss your sentiment from Sparkle and Shine in White
  • Also stamp and emboss the Circle from Sparkle and Shine and the circle from Creepy Cute
  • color the circles with watercolor.
  • remove color from white embossed areas.
  • color gems in matching colours using Markers (Copic for example) and add them.

Type 3: "Oh gosh! December 18th already and I still need a bunch of cards. it MUST be simple!"

  • stamp the Time Warp background in gold ink (I uses Brilliance)
  • Stamp a star from Photo Booth and the Sentiment from Sparkle and Shine and gold emboss both.
  • Round the corners.

That's how it works, right? ;)

I hope this inspired you to use your non-Christmas Neat & Tangled stamps for quick and easy Christmas cards :)

Watercolor Birthday Balloons

Hello there, Joni here sharing a watercolor project that you can use with any stamp set that you have. Sometimes we need a quick Birthday card and sentiments sometimes can help with that.....hehehe especially Neat & Tangled sentiments Photo Booth :)

To begin my card I first drew my circles using pencil and then stamped the sentiments from Photo Booth using Versamark ink then gold heat embossed the sentiments.

Next, I watercolored the inside of the balloons with distress ink smooshing it on the acrylic block. Then use the water brush, fill in the colors, and let it dry. Once its all dry I then erase the pencil mark. Then I drew the balloon strings using the Distress Markers in Crushed Olive, Worn Lipstick, and Wild Honey.

To finish off the card I added some watercolor splatter using the remaining ink on the acrylic block let it dry and the Birthday card is done :)

Here's the full image of the card.

I hope you enjoyed!

Pink+Gold Birthday Card

Hello, friends! Today Anna's here. Do you love gold? Before, I could not respond positively to this question. But this season, everything changed, and I covered with the real gold-mania. I like to use gold glitter or other shiny things as bright accents of my projects. And this time I made a card in pink and gold colors.

I used the light pink paper into small polka dots patterns for background, and the glitter tape on the edges.

Than I stamped and cut a tag using stamp of Gifts For You set. Also I used a heat embossing with gold powder on the cake stamp and added a pink hearts. Sentiment is from the Photo Booth set. I really like how you can combine words of this set to create different phrases.

And pink ribbon and enamel dots for accents.

Have a great week!

Neat and Tangled June Blog Hop!

Hello friends, Danielle here! To kick start your weekend we are having a blog hop with some of your favorite designers! We will be highlighting two stamp sets from our May release: Photo Booth and Sunday School Songs.  Lots of great projects and giveaways so I hope you will join us!

For my card I used Photo Booth. To create this I stamped the film strip a few times and then cut it into pieces so I could use it to create the focal point and the layers.  I picked some papers from my stash along with some vellum to create the layers. A little stitching and I called it a day! It's hard to tell from the photo, but I used a lot of foam dots to give it dimension.

For the camera I stamped it in Hero Arts Butter Bar but it seemed a little too one dimensional so I got out some Copics to outline and add a little shading.

Sequin Crazy!

Hey everybody! Happy Friday! It's Taheerah here with a card to kick off your weekend!

Do you know how awesome Neat & Tangled sequins are? Very awesome, that's how awesome! Danielle started this trend way back when we were all thinking 'Sequins? On a card? Instead of rhinestons? What?'

I don't think I've used a single rhinestone on a card since. Heh.

So for my card today I wanted to celebrate all things sequin! And what better way to do that with a fun shaker card?!

I love how this turned out!!

I wanted to create a super-fun sequin background to start with, so I used the sequin stamp from Photo Booth to do just that! I went with a more masculine colour scheme because, well, why not?!

I then had loads of fun picking out which colour sequins to use! There are so many I'm pretty much spoilt for choice! I opted for colours that closely matched my colour palette, and complimented those with stamped sentiment circles from Everyday Circles - kinda like giant sequins in themselves!

I sandwiched all my sequins and sentiments with a sheet of acetate to create the fun, full-card window! I adhered that to my base and added some hand-drawn faux stitching and I was all done!

I hope this card brought some sunshine to your day! Thanks for stopping by!

Say Cheese!

Hi Neat & Tangled friends!
Amy Kolling here with a bittersweet post because it's my LAST post as part of the original DT.  Danielle has expanded her team and it's time for my style to go!  I have really enjoyed this team and am so grateful to Danielle for letting me design with her stamps.

Did you see the fabulous new release of stamps last week?  If not, scroll back through the posts from last week!  The new DT has outdone themselves!!!

I created my card with the new set called Photo Booth.  I just love all the itty bitty images that are included in this set which are perfectly sized to fit in the photo strip stamp from the set.  But here, I've used the little camera stamp to stamp my own background paper.  Just goes to show how you can use all those smaller images in way that really shows them off!

Say Cheese2

Since this is my last post, I wanted to share a few of my favorite NAT cards I've made during my term.  Hope you enjoy and have a great summer!!!

Big News + Happy Everything

Hello friends! Danielle here with some exciting news and a fun card :)

I haven't really mentioned anything publicly, if you follow on Instagram you may have seen a picture a little while ago, but I am expecting with our third child. We are very excited and we are very close to my due date!  Here is a photo we snapped yesterday, I tend to forget to get pictures of myself during pregnancy, so I'm glad we got this one before it was too late!

Now for a card! I really love the new Photo Booth set so I inked it up!  I stamped the photo strip in black and then used some Copics to color the light aqua background.  I stamped the heart image from the set in red ink, covered in Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Distress glitter. I used a stencil with some embossing paste on the card base, and then adhered my photo strip with some foam dots. Ta-da!
