Magnolia Cards with Daria [VIDEO]

Hello-hello Dear Friends,

Daria here. Today, I am playing with Magnolia stamp set with Coordinating dies. I've seen the video from Kelly using our Magnolia stamp set and decided I need to play with it too.

Here you can find a little how-to video.

I started with stamping looots of flowers, colouring them in yellow, die cut and arrange them on a card-base.  I used the sentiment from the same stamp set. Plus, I added a panel made with dies from Gift Card Box Add Ons. It creates a focal point on a sentiment.

I've also glued a flower on that front panel. It creates even more dimension.

When I finished that card, I still had a few flowers and a rhombus left and decided to use it on another project. Recently Jennifer McGuire had a card with spot-light colouring - that was my inspiration. I placed the flowers on a rhombus to put it in the center of my card.

For the background, I again used a patterned paper from Modern Graphics paper pack from Julie Ebersole. I like how it adds a lot of contrast.

I added a sentiment from  Typed Sentiments stamp set and placed it on a banner from Skinny Stripes dies on the side of the rhombus.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you've liked those ideas and will give them a try.
Have a wonderful day,
D.

Thanks so very much!

Hello there!

Mayuri here to share a card using a stencil, a die and a stamp set!

©Candles in the Garden. Neat and Tangled OCTOBER 2018

I began by creating a colourful background using the Cubic stencil and some ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I simple laid the stencil down onto a piece of white cardstock, coloured through the stencil and onto the card with the brush pens, and then liberally spritzed with water!

Too much water can result in a muddy mess, but not enough water means the colours don't blend - either way, add the amount of water you feel most comfortable with! I removed the stencil and the heat set the panel quickly before trimming it down to the size of my card base.

I adhered the panel straight down to my card based and moved onto the sentiment. I die-cut the diamond shape using the diamond shaped die from Gift Card Box Die Additions and then stamped a sentiment from the Thanks So Much set. I brushed some gold ink all the way around the edges of the die-cut piece before foam mounting to the card front.

To finish, I embellished with a mixture of sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!

BOX Card with Daria [VIDEO]

Hello and welcome Dear Friends!

Daria here, and I have a fun card to share with you.  I wanted to make a shadow box like card. I've decided that the easiest way to make it is to use a Gift Card Box Die and Gift Card Box Additions dies.

This card was totally an experiment - I have changed a lot along the way. But I like the way it turned out.  There is a video to show how it all came together.

I have a friend who is due in October, and I was thinking about her while making this card. I wanted to make a fall themed card for a new baby coming :) To achieve it, I used leaves from Hello Fall Stamp set and a little stroller from Ride With Me Stamp set  Here is also some patterned paper used - Modern Graphics by Julie Ebersolefrom Ellen Hutson, to make a backdrop both for inside and outside of the box.

Actually the Gift Card Box Die is quite thick, so you can make several layers of dimension for even deeper 3D effect.  You may also use flowers and different creatures peeking from inside.

The sentiment is also from Ride With Me Stamp set.  I like how delicate it is.

I have also placed a couple of leaves inside of the card for some extra something.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you liked that ideas and will give them a try.
Have a wonderful week,
D.

Floral Frames Two Ways with Daria [Video]

Hello and welcome dear Friends!

Daria here, and I have two cards to share with you today. I was playing with some goodies from our latest release: Floral Frame stamp and die set, Gift Card Box Additions dies and Thanks so Much stamp set.

There is a video to show how they all came together.

Here is a closer look at the cards I've made.  All the elements on both cards are foam mounted.

I used the new Gift Card Box Additions dies to die cut a little panel with cut lines and stamped my sentiment on it. Sentiments are from Thanks so Much stamp set and Floral Frame stamp set.

To make a blue card, I placed the central piece into the frame and cut off the part that was not seen behind the panel. Then, I adhered this little piece back to the panel side, so the frame looked bigger than it actually is. I finish both cards with Nuvo Drops in White.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you liked that simple ideas and will give them a try.
Have a wonderful week,
D.

Stash Busting with the Build A Tag Dies

Hey everyone!  Miriam here sharing a whole slew of tags to share today using the new Build A Tag dies.

I got to thinking after I created this tag I shared last week, that this is a perfect set of dies for stash busting, so I set out to prove it.

I used one of my older paper collections (Amy Tangerine's Stitched collection for AC), cutting a 6" x 12" piece from eight different sheets.  Then I ran all the pieces from the Build A Tag set as well as the diamond die from the Gift Card Box Additions set through the die cut machine.

Full disclosure I have extended cutting plates, so I could do this in one pass.  If you have standard sized plates you'll have to cut a piece off and run it through separately, but that is easy enough to do.

Here's a look at one of my cardstock sheets with all the pieces cut out.

Once I had all my pieces cut out, I basically lined up all the main tag pieces and then distributed the rest of them to each tag, mixing and matching the different patterns.

I tried very hard to make this a quick set, not to over complicate things.  Normally if I was making just one tag, I'd probably add some stitching or embellishments, but here I limited myself to just adding a bit of foam tape for dimension.

All the sentiments are from the Thanks So Much stamp set.

There are so many different combinations and possibilities.  I'm planning to do this again, but with some old Christmas papers so I can knock out all the Christmas tags I need.

I hope this gives you some ideas and that you're able to make a dent in your pile of patterned papers too!

Neat and Tangled Birthday Blog Hop Day 3!

Daria here and so happy to jump into the hop.

I couldn't resist playing with the new Gift Card Box die. I think it is the cuttiest (if there is such a word?:). It is the the perfect size to present a gift card, but I also decided to add a little card/tag inside.

Watch the video to see exactly how I created these projects!

I used the new Gift Card Box Additions dies to die cut a little panel with cut lines, stamped my sentiment and embellished with some greenery from Floral Frame stamp set. To make it more easy to take, I added a little twine.

For one of the boxes, I used patterned paper (here, it is Modern Graphics by Julie Ebersolefrom Ellen Hutson). It is the fastest way. Sentiments are from Thanks so Much stamp set. Love the font - clean and bold.

But, I also wanted to show you, that you can make your box even more unique by stamping your own pattern. I used Landscape Textures stamp set to create a pattern for my second box. And it literally took me maybe two minutes to make.

Here is the one more look at the boxes I created:

Elena is here to share some inspiration with you all today!

I love presenting a card and a matching box! The box is perfect for holding a gift card, which is my go-to gift:

neat and tangled release week

I started out by sponging purple inks onto a few pieces of white cardstock. These would become the first layers for both the box and the card. Then, I stamped and die-cut the Floral Frame and extra flowers from the set.

I colored the leaves in shades of green, and kept the flowers in light pinks and yellows. I stamped the birthday greeting inside the frame opening and added a few accents by way of a white gel pen.

I just love this new Gift Card Box die, designed by Miriam!  And the matching stamp set, Thanks So Much, makes them both must-haves. I die-cut the box, and the white layer for the top. I then die-cut a diamond shape into the top, and stamped the greeting into the opening. To finish off, I accented the box with a few flowers from Floral Frame.

I hope you are as excited about these new products as we are!
