Warm Winter Scene negative die cutting with Sveta

                    Hello everyone!

Sveta is here and I'm going to share with you super simple card I made with a new N&T cover plate - Warm Winter Scene Cover Plate Die.

For this card I used negative die cut technique. 

 I added a little sentiment from the Winter Wishes stamp set (I adore this font!) using black ink first.

 And then I placed negative die cut of a winter scene on a wooden cardstock and that's it! I think that wood is very cozy and so perfect for such card.

I love to use "last minute" ideas for winter cards as you always have someone you forogot to send a card :D

Snowy Christmas Pageant: Practicing Skin Tones with Kelly Latevola

Hello CRafters! 

Are you getting ready for Christmas? 

We had an unseasonably warm weekend and my husband seized the opportunity to get out Christmas lights up. 

They look so pretty!! It's definitely one of my favorite parts of Christmas. 

I loved so many of the stamp sets from this months release but really couldn't wait to put these cute Christmas Pageant participants on a card. Especially since my little peanut is in preschool this year and will be having his own pageant this year.  

When I first sat down to color these sweethearts I knew immediately I was going to be trying out different skin tones. Cards like this are the perfect opportunity to practice because there are so many little images. 

The video is a little long but we're talking about lots of different tips and techniques so grab your coffee and check it out. 

So if you watched the video you know the struggle that was the micropore tape. If you didn't let me just tell you don't go to your local grocery store and just pick up any old brand. They are not all created equal haha. The one that is safe to use is this one.

Safe yourself the heartbreak and time of having to recolor every image like I did :( 

Even though i struggled a bit with having to recolor it was worth it. I love how bright and vibrant this card came out. The snowy scene is just the cherry on top! I know I'll be using that technique lots this winter!
