Kindness is good for the soul

Hello!

Katie Gehring here to share a card I created using A Lot to Say and Kindness Matters.
 
I stamped A Lot to Say's word bubble on white cardstock and trimmed inside the stamped line.  Next, I stamped the sentiment from Kindness Matters and adhered the bubble to a panel of cardstock.  I stamped A Lot to Say's word bubble again in coordinating ink directly onto the panel, offset a bit from where I adhered the trimmed speech bubble.

I stamped the Circle Heart and Be Kind from Kindness Matters onto white cardstock and punched them out using 5/8" and 7/8" circle punches.  A few random sequins add a finishing touch.

I love finding ways to get different looks from my stamps and this offset frame was super simple to do! Well, that's all for me today.  I hope you have a great weekend!

Seize the Birthday Sponsor + Card

 I am pretty bad with sketches, so I went for a pretty literal interpretation :) I die cut the stars and then stamped them with Sunburst, and used the sentiment from Sketchy Cupcakes. I also chose a nice feminine color combo of yellow, teal and pink.

May Guest Designer: Laura Bassen

Hi friends! I'm here today with another post from our amazing guest designer, Laura Bassen!

Hi there! Laura here, and I've got a couple more Neat & Tangled projects to share. For my first card I used the thin stripe from the Across the Card set. I'm in love with this ultra thin stripe and by using the stamp's backing as a guide, it was super simple to line up and get consistent spacing over and over again. The sentiment is from the Sparkle and Shine set.

For my next project, I was determined to use some of those delicious sequins. I made a tiny little shaker card. This card only measures 3x3" and could easily be made into a cute little tag. The sentiment is from Sketchy Cupcakes. Quick and Easy Nautical Cupcake Toppers

Hi everyone! It's Suzanne here today with some quick and easy cupcake toppers that are inspired by summer and all the fun nautical theme that seems to be in style these days. I used Sketchy Cupcakes to make the little flags on each of the toppers.



I had a hard time getting through this project without eating these, and my hubby was so nervous that the glue would somehow "render them inedible" - LOL! No such thing! I am sure these will be gone by the end of the day though.

Shine Bright!

I'm back with a card using another Neat and Tangled's mini stamp sets!  This time, I am using Sunburst and Sparkle & Shine, two stamp sets that was just released this month.

I stamped the sunburst on one side of the card and cut out the white spaces, leaving only the stamped portion on the card.  I then stamped the light bulb, coloured and cut out and adhered it to the sunburst with some foam tape.  Then I finished the card off with a sentiment from Sparkle & Shine and embellished it with some rhinestones.

Little Tangles is having an Embellish It! Challenge, so go ahead and join in the fun using your favorite embellishments - from sequins, rhinestones, chipboard... anything!  The challenge runs until Sunday, May 26th at 11:59 EST, so don't hurry up and link up your creations!

A Lot to Say...or just a little?

Hello!
Chari here today with a clean and graphic card that uses A Lot to Say for a little Hello. :) A Lot to say is perfect for journaling and it can hold a lot of sentiment but sometimes it is nice to embrace the space don't you think?

First I used the Hello Strip from On the Strip in some of my favorite shadow ink colors, cornflower, pale tomato and soft cantaloupe, to create a faux wash tape background.  Who needs washi in ever color under the sun when you can use your inks! Don't get me wrong, I have quite the washi collection too, but you don't always have exactly what you are looking for am I right?  I stamped the A Lot to Say speech bubble on white cardstock and cut it out with the "hello" from Swirly Twirly Tags in the bottom corner...embracing the space!  I popped it up off the background to make it stand out and added a few clear sequins for embellishment.  Super simple!

Star Confetti Birthday Card

Hello everyone! Nina here to share a star confetti birthday card!

There are various star sizes in the Sparkle and Shine stamp set - perfect for creating a confetti look. I used 3 ink colors and tried to stamp them in triangles for a random look.

Graduation Card, Includes a Printable

Hi, Jean here to share a graduation card you can customize with school colors. I’ve also got a downloadable printable for you as well. 

It’s the season for graduation ceremonies! I don’t know about you, but most of the store-bought cards I see are not my taste at all, so I decided to design a card that can be customized with one of the stripes from the the On the Strip 2 stamp set.

Here’s all you have to do:

• Download the .pdf file, which includes four card fronts with the sentiment and graduation cap.
• Print the file onto cardstock.
• Cut the cardstock into four card fronts.
• Trim the card front on all four sides so that the card base will be visible.
• Stamp stripes onto the card front in ink color of choice.
• Adhere the card front to the base.

Here's an example with navy blue stripes and a light-gray card base.

And another version with three gold stripes and a black card base.

Hey, Girlfriend!

Hey Girlfriends ;) Danielle here.

I first wanted to thank you all for your tremendous support and excitement during last week's release! Your positivity is contagious, and while I can't respond to all comments I do read each and every one, and they always bring a smile to my face.

I apologize for the speed at which certain items sold out. I do my best to anticipate how popular particular items will be and stock accordingly, but every now and then I underestimate!  I have already placed a reorder for stamps. In the meantime please check with our friends at Simon Says Stamp as well as i {heart} papers, both carry a variety of Neat and Tangled now! All sequins will be restocked by weeks end!

How was your weekend? Ours flew by as usual. For all you mommies out there, I hope you enjoyed your special day!

I'm here to share a card I made a reeeeally long time ago for a publication call, but alas it was a reject! So now I get to share it with you all.  The colors and scallop pattern from the stamp remind me of the ocean, and now that the weather is warming I hear the beach calling :)

I stamped and white heat embossed the scallop pattern from Little Tangles on various colors of Hero Arts papers, cut them out, and adhered them to my card base. I then stamped the sentiment from Just Hello on a strip and popped it up on the card with some foam dimensional.

May 2013 Release Day 3: Across the Card
