We're home!

We made it... 3 humans, 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 Ford Explorer in tow, and the contents of 1 house and 1 apartment contained within 1 20-foot U-haul. Drove midnight Friday to midnight Tuesday.

My last day of work in Seattle was Thursday, May 26.
Tony and I picked up the U-Haul Friday morning, then back home. Then it was right back in the car for me and my old dog Romy to go meet my sister Kaitlan and stepdad Curt at the Issaquah Park & Ride. They were driving Kaitlan back to Boise. Kaitlan had picked up my brother Jay in Lynnwood. At the Park & Ride I took Jay and Kaitlan took Romy. We will miss her, but she will do better in a house with a backyard.

We got packed by about 2 p.m. Jon Yoon stopped by to help and to say farewell. Then it was back to U-Haul to load the trailer/Explorer. Next stop, Jay's apartment in Lynnwood for more packing. We got out of there around 7, and then we all drove up to my dad's in Bow for dinner...late dinner at 9 p.m. My mom stopped by as well to hug us goodbye. Jay and Tony caught a quick nap. I was eager to go and couldn't sleep, so at midnight we all said goodbye and were on our way.

After two successful border crossings, four motel stays (we checked Rickie, and snuck the two cats in each night), and too much junk food to remember, we arrived in Anchorage. Still unpacking, and have only gone running once, but so far, so good!
