Deadpan conversation from yesterday
Lydia: Daddy I love you. But I love God the mostest.
Dad: Well, He loves you too.
L: Why does He love me?
D: Because you're His child.
L: Is everybody His children?
D: Yes. That's why we sing "I am a Child of God"
L: Is He like a Daddy and Mommy in Heaven?
D: He's our Father in Heaven.
L: Who's our Mother in Heaven?
D: That's an interesting question. I believe we have one, but the scriptures don't really tell us much about Her.
L: What about Mary? She's in the scriptures.
D: Well, Mary was the mother of Jesus. She was just His mother on Earth.
L: Who was His mother at sea?
Dad: Well, He loves you too.

"Every day I'm always grossed out by the smell in the lunch room. Then today I realized the smell is actually my own lunch box."
Lydia was painting:
"Mom! Mom! I figured out how to make orange! First you mix red, then green, then blue!"
take that, color wheel!
Lydia: When you were a little girl did you want to be music teacher when you grew up?
Me: Actually, I wanted to be a mom.
Lydia: But moms are not community helpers.
um. I beg to differ.
