90 days to go!

V-Day and so forth

I'm really not that busy, but when it comes to sitting down and blogging, it seems that I never have five minutes to journal our past few days.  Well, Valentine's Day came and went.  That makes it sound uneventful, which it wasn't.  It just isn't as big a deal as it used to be.  It's much more chill (which I think Nate is grateful for.  It's hard to come up with ideas sometimes). We did house chores most of the day (Nate had been in LA most of the week so he had a lot of stuff he wanted to get done).  We went to Costco (always fabulous) and stocked up on samples, wipes, and food storage.  Nate did surprise me with a dozen orange roses while we were in line.  I love orange roses.  They're so vivacious and exciting... much like me?!.  We got some photos developed at Costco.  Some of them were from when Nate and I were engaged.  I was hot back then.  We also got photos of "Baby Keilah" developed.  She used to be so bald (check previous posts).  Such great memories to have on the "Day of Love." After Costco we got some Pei Wei take-out (AMAZING!!!) and ate a lovely meal at home with Keilah.  We ended up watching a movie ("A Walk to Remember."  Nate and I just finished reading the book.  The book is much better)  on the couch after Keilah went to bed and fell asleep probably around 10:30.  To me, it was a fabulous day.  I didn't have to find anything special to wear, find a babysitter, or cook a meal (although I tried to make blueberry waffles for breakfast, and for the second time, they've looked weird). We also got phone calls from our mommies.  Nothing makes a day better than to hear that your mom loves you still after all these years.  Nate was very sweet to me, giving me a chance to just be with him and our dear little girl.  All I need is roses, my man, and my girl(s) and I'm in heaven!

Now, on to venting... I am so grateful and blessed to be pregnant, so I'm not complaining about the miracle of life.  I'm complaining about everything else that comes along with it.  I absolutely hate maternity pants.  It's bad enough that they fall off all the time and I feel like I have constant "plumber's butt," but being as tall as I am doesn't help either.  Case in point:  I bought a pair of maternity jeans from Old Navy.  They're long and I had a pair with Keilah that I really liked, but couldn't wear the last few months of her pregnancy b/c my bum got too big.  So, I bought a bigger size thinking, "this'll be perfect."  Nope.  Not in the least.  I wearing them right now as they fall halfway down my backside due to the fact that they're HUGE and the waistband is too big.  You'd think this would make me happy, but the original jeans I bought 2 years ago don't fit so now I don't have any jeans to wear.  Seriously people... I'm not about to spend $70 on a pair of jeans that you wear b/c your butt's too big!  It's hopefully going to start staying warmer her now and I'll be able to wear dresses.  Maternity dresses are a dream come true to me.  No annoying waistbands, no worries about "high water" length... just pure comfort.  I'm really looking forward to having our little girl and being able to exercise w/out hurting from ligament stretching, belly bouncing, or just plain blubber flying.  More importantly, a lot of my friends are now having their babies and I just can't wait for our little girl to join our family.  I've already bought matching and coordinating outfits for our girls to wear in anticipation of all the picture taking we'll be doing over the summer.  Ahhh... summer... there's  a happy thought.  Maybe I'll just stick to daydreams of warm, sunny weather relaxing by the pool.  No jeans necessary.

Yippee!

Congrats to my big brother Daniel and his wonderful family.  Victoria was born on Saturday, Feb. 7th.  She came 10 days early, just like her two sisters (and Keilah).  We are so excited to have her in our family.  I wish I were there in Utah to see her and hold her!  This picture is of Madeleine, Elisabeth, and Victoria.
