Mission Time!!
This morning (well late morning) I woke up to a text message form my dad, "ITS HERE!". The it is my mission call! I got so excited that I called him immediately. Together we discussed if he should bring it to me, or if I should come out to my parents house and open it with everyone, He then jokingly said he would just read it to me. I could not wait after that, so over the phone my dad opened my mission call and told me the news...Tempe Arizona mission, spanish speaking! I just started laughing before the words were out of his mouth...Arizona. The one place I had said that I did not want to go, speaking spanish, the thing i didnt want to do if i stayed in the states. How ironic! It is very interesting the way the Lord works. Before today I thought that if I got called to Arizona or New Mexico that I would be bummed, and lo and behold I get called to Arizona and my mission covers parts of New Mexico. But I am not even a little bummed, I am so excited! Having my dad read a call that was just for me, assigned to me by the Prophet of the Lord, thougtfully and inspirationally picked, one I would have NEVER chosen for myself is so surreal. I am so excited and cannot wait! I will keep you posted as to what comes next! Oh by the way, I leave January 18th!!!

Holy Moly Crazy Guacamole!!!!
It has been a WAY long time since I updated my blog, oopsies! So this is going to be sort of a heavy post to try and get caught up. In the last month and a half a lot of things have happened. My brother got home from a mission, I decided to go on a mission, i had to leave my job of three years and start a new one. At said job I am making lots of new friends. My best friend got married to another one of my best friends, my niece was born, I got to see REO Speedwagon in concert, I am preparing to go to the temple, I went to my first but definately not last sheepdog competition, and a plethera of other things....SO think that for the most part I will just post pictures and define underneath.
Here are just a few pictures from the end of summer. I love swimming and snow cones and this summer did not disappoint!

Britt and I soaking up some rays and catching up on our Cosmo.

On August 16th two of my best friends tied the knot! I am so happy for Michael and Elise. There wedding was just beautiful and so special. I have known them both a while and have seen them go through a lot, especially Michael, so to be able to see him be sealed for eternity to the greatest girl ever was incredible. I am so grateful for their friendship over the years and I am so stoked for them. They are perfect for each other and each makes the other a better person, so congrats Michael and Lise, I love you!

Two days later my brother Quintin returned from his mission in Satiago Chile. It was really great to be able to see him and hug him (though he was reluctant to hug his sisters because quote "i may know you are my sister but other people might just think you are some girl and that would be inappropriate" what a booger). It was extra nice to have the whole family together again. Timing being as it is, I have also decided to serve a mission, I decided wednesday before Q got home. It is crazy and sudden and exciting and scary all at the same time. But I am so lucky to have such strong RM examples in my life (Molly Lise and Q I am talking about you) that are always there for me, tell me how it actually is and support me endlessly. Thank you all so much!

Like the week I had been having wasnt crazy enough, my beautiful niece Stella Grace Parry was born on the 20th of August. She is just beautiful and I love her so much. It was rough goings there at first but now she is healthy and happy as a clam. I just love holding her and snuggling with her. She is such a doll and melts my heart. Congrats Josh and Jamie!
These two pictures are from the hospital.

In these pictures she is a couple weeks old.

Just a random couple photos from my friend Katelins wedding. Im lucky to have such great friends!!!
Well after 3 years in the same job, and after spending all of Shanes life with him, my time as the Mulveys nanny has ended. It is so bitter sweet for me. I have loved my years with these amazing little boys. I am so lucky to have been able to have to amazing relationship that I do with Shane, I love him as if he were my own. I love and will miss the way that he said Nattie, the hugs that Finn gives, I will miss the stories and songs with Shane before his nap and him telling me that he loved me, I will miss singing you are my sunshine with Finn. As excited as I am to start a new chapter in my life, I will miss my boys imensely!

Ok so this Labor day was probably the best labor day ever! I went with my friend Mackenzie to the Solider Hollow sheep dog competition. At first when we decided to go we thought "sheep herding that will be kind of funny, sure lets go" little did i know that I was in for the best display of dogs ever! First of all there were all sorts of food booths and vendors and stuff, we ate the most delish donuts! Plus they had all these cool dog demenstrations and stuff. We watched the sled dog demo and learned about how they train and the names of the positions of the dogs and then we watched a police dog demo that was so great we acutally watched it twice. They demonstrated how the attack dogs work and how they let the dog make the decision on wether or not to attack. The dog can assess wether or not the perp is an actual threat or not. It was amazing and then there were the sheepdogs themselves! I was not prepared to care as much as I did, but I got way into it. The people behind us told us all about how the score the dog and everything, it was amazing. I will definately be going again and I HIGHLY recommed everyone check it out at least once!!
I dont know why this keeps coming up crooked, but i had to put it on. The shepherd and the dog getting those naughty sheep into their pen.
Me and Mackenzie watching the dock diving competition.
Sled Dog Demo
Watching the actual sheepdogs.
My former boss has been super cool over the last three years about getting me concert tickets. It has turned out that bands my dad wants to see keep coming in the summer. Last year we saw Rush together and this year we got to see REO Speedwagon and Styx!! Reo is like my favorite band of all time and I really love Styx so needless to say this concert was amazing! So here is the 2nd annual Fathers Day/Dads Birthday/Daddy Daughter Date! Complete with crazy drunk dancing man!!! Yay!
Waiting for the show to start!!!!
REO SPEEDWAGON IN THE FLESH!!
Me and REO in the same photo!
Just before Styx started to play!!!
Also just after labor day I started my new job at Deseret Book. It was weird getting back into the groove of working an actual job with rules and such, but I am really loving it. I have made lots of friends there, but the best being Ali. We sing musicals at work, go to movies, and basically have just been having fun and being crazy.
If you made it all the way to the end sorry that this post was so long, I will not wait so long to update next time. Hopefully next week there will be a sweet post about where I will spend the next 18 months of my life!

HP, Jenga, Snowcones, and Other Randomness!
Alrighty! It has been a real long time since I blogged anything so here is an over load of some of the delightful things that have happened thus far in July. These are really in no particular order.
4th Of July:
I went to Liberty Park with Molly and Erin for the 4th of July this year and let me tell you, I wont be doing it again. It was a really waste of time. Granted I had fun, but the fireworks lasted literally 5 minutes and I was ticked. Oh well, we took some really great pictures.
Why we are friends!!!!
Cabin Time:
Molly, Steph, Brittney, Erin and Myself along with one of Mollys friends went up the Mollys grandmas cabin to celebrate Erins birthday. We had loads of fun. We went on a neature walk, saw a snake, played games and spent the evening in the hospital cuz Brittney was dying. Over all it was really great to get to hang out with my ladies.
Jo-Anns:
Melyssa and I went to Jo-Anns on our way to our cousin Josh's baby shower and while we were there we decided to cause a little havoc. It was splendid!
This was the most intense game of Jenga I have ever played. You cant see in this photo how precarious this Jenga tower actually was, but there were four rows of one block at the bottom. It was nuts. But I won!
I love summer time, and I love a good snow cone. The snow cone winabego in Centerville is pretty tasty.
Harry Potter 7.2
I went to the midnight showing of HP with a bunch of friends. It is pretty much a tradition. Every year Molly, Steph and I do not dress up and we sorta mock/admire the people that do and the costumes that we see and every year Erin wears her cape, admires and gets excited about other costumes and yells at us for being mean. It is the best. There she is, right up front in her cape.

It seems weird that HP is actually over. I read the first book when I was in the 5th grade(ahead of the curve I might add, when my dad picked it up at barnes and noble the staff had never heard of it and had to look it up on the computer. A year later when I was on book 2, it had become a phenomenon.) It just seems so crazy that after all this time it is over. I will admit, I have a deep love for HP, both books and movies and dont think I will ever tire of rereading and rewatching.

San Francisco: Day 4
Today we went to the California Academy Of Science. It was really neat. It has a whole bunch of things, an aquarium, a natural history exhibit, penguins, a planetarium, a living roof, a reptile exhibit, and a rain forest!
The rain forest was super sweet. It was in a big dome with a spiral stair case on the outer edge and you walked up through the layer and got to experience all the plants and animals that live in each layer. The coolest part is that the birds and the butterflies just flew free and the butterflies would just randomly land on people. It was fantastic.

Here are some parrots just chilling in the tree.
GIGANTIC amazon river fish. This picture doenst do them justice, they were bigger than people. Scary!
Roaming butterfly
Some rain forest iguana guy.
Inside the aquarium.
Sea Pens!! I loved these little guys. I dont know if anyone else thinks they are cool....im probably just nerding out over their office supply nature due to me background. :)
Me and a galopagos tortise.
Alie and Me waiting outside the planetarium. We saw a show about earth and life on earth. The show was to science-y for my taste, but seeing it on the gigantic screen was cool.
The gift shops were sweet. Mostly because they had all these tee shirts with nerdy science jokes. LOVE.

This is me waiting outside the San Francisco muesem of modern art. We were supposed to meet Jeff and Melanie here at 5, this picture was taken at 6. We drove around downtown for an 2 hours trying to figure out where we were going(our map was WAY WAY WAY to basic and the ipad died) and then when we found it we could not find parking. Plus it was rush hour so it was madness. I waited outside for Jeff while everyone else went inside. No one was impressed by the "art", Alie actually did air quotes. So it wasnt to big a deal to miss.
We finally found a parking place and met up with Jeff and Melanie. They took us to a bar in the top of a hotel were you could look out over San Fran. We had some drinks and said our final goodbyes to them. It was sad, I am gonna miss them.
We stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge on our way out of San Fran for the last time. It is really pretty remarkable. After all the parking hasstle we had gone through earlier in the day, mom just stayed in the car so we wouldnt have to deal with paying for parking.

This is us like 15 steps onto the bridge, just so that we could say that we walked on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Alie and I touching the bridge!
We left San Francisco and headed home the next morning. It was such a fun trip, we only argued once, it was amazing to see San Fran, and Jeff and Melanie and to just spend time together as a family. Thanks again mom and dad!
