Trying something new...

Okay, I'm trying something new.

There is a new facility to have a blog on my website, so I'm giving that a go.

Head over  HERE  to let me know what you think.  Not quite as glam as this one but thought it may be good to have everything together.

Also, I'm doing a Twelve Days of Christmas inspiration on their too, so head on over for a peep - every day for the next twelve days...hmm, will I manage to do it?

I'd love to know what you think....

Have fun!

Scrap Club

Every month, Zoe and I run a Scrap Club evening.  I started it over six years ago and whilst it's changed it's format over the years, we still have a group of about 10 ladies join us every month.

We make a variety of single page layouts, double page layouts and mini books.  Attendees are normally asked what they would like to make and they put their ideas forward of what colours or what techniques they would like to use.  This month they wanted to do a Christmas double page spread whilst learning how to make the 3D flowers / medallions.

So, you can see above the pages that we completed.  Now those of you familiar with the Stampin' Up! catalogue will recognise the layout on the left hand side.  Inspired by a beautiful single page layout, I adapted it and made it the left hand page of our double layout.

Using Stampin' Up!'s Jolly Holiday papers, the Ornament Punch, the Scallop Circle punch, the Scallop Trim punch, Filigree brads and a bit of stamping using my favourite Curly and Cute stamp set!

Here's a closer look at the right hand page:

The ladies did a great job and finished most of it during the 2 hours that we have.  There were plenty of supplies left in their kits to make more or maybe even start their Christmas Cards!!!

If you fancy joining us, December is our Christmas party but in January we will be back Monday 17th January 2011 from 7.30 - 9.30pm.

If you live locally to me, Crawley Library has a Crafts for Christmas show on tomorrow and I will be there between 10am and 3pm, so stop by for a quick make and take, a chat or a chance to look at some fabulous ideas that I got from Stampin' Up! Convention.

Have fun!

Another make and take

If you are part of my Stampers Groups, then each month you get two Make and Take projects with your order.

This month they got to do the lovely 6 x 6" scrapbook page shown above and the other card was one that was made at Stampin' Up's Regional Training earlier this year.

Here it is:

I have to admit that the new Early Expresso brown colour and the Cherry Cobbler red colour have stolen my heart - I LOVE these colours together.

And what about that bauble - I love Stampin' Up!'s Contempo Christmas stamp set and together with the Ornament Punch, it means that making these 3D baubles are really easy and quick too!

On December 4th, I've got a group of ladies that are going to be making 24 Christmas Cards in 6 hours - that should get them started with what they need to make this year!  If you fancy joining us, then give me a quick shout now - bookings are officially closing today but I may just be able to squeeze you in if you let me know quickly :)

Still so much to show you, so back soon!

Stampin' Stars Goody Bags

Well, I said that I would be back to show you what I gave the lovely ladies in the Stampin' Stars team got in their Pre-Convention Party Goody Bags.

Remember the bags?

Well, in the bags was firstly a little card to thank them for all of their hard work and for being part of the team :)

Then I made them a little notebook so that they could all make notes during convention :)

When my team reach a certain level, I give them a Pandora style bracelet or keychain and whenever they get a new person in their own teams or maybe reach a certain sales level or something, then they get given a bead to add to the keychain or bracelet.  With this in mind and the fact that the tagline from convention was "Share what you love", I bought them all a heart bead and wrapped it up like this:

Now convention was a big place and with around 300 people, I wanted something that would make us easily identifiable.  I haven't met all the ladies in my team and I wanted those who had come alone to be able to find other team members easily too, so what's a team leader to do.

Well, embarass the team members of course :)

Here is what I made them wear:

Now, notice that I didn't pick the tacky silver and gold glittery ones - I did go for the very feminine fluffy versions LOL!
There were also some refreshments and chocolate in those bags but also two Make & Take packets for them to complete at the Party.  Here is my Make & Take for the party (also given this month to my Stampers Group ladies too!):

Now I was asked during the evening why people only got one Johnny (Depp) but they got eight brads.  I didn't get it to start with and then it clicked - Brad Pitt!  Well, I'd have one Brad instead of 8 Johnny's any day of the week but I'm guessing we are all different :).

If any of the above has interested you in becoming a Demonstrator, so that you can join in with all the fun of convention next year, then get in touch and I'm more than happy to talk to you about how you can get a discount on your Stampin' Up! supplies or even start your own part-time business.

Have fun!

Wow Wow Wow

Well, what can I say?

Last week I spent alot of time playing with paper and spending time with friends.

It was the 2nd Stampin' Up! Convention in Addington Palace and I had a ball!

There is so much to share, but I could be here all day, so as usual, I will put down some bullet points as you may have seen alot of things on other blogs by now too :)

So, the Thursday night before Convention, Monica & I held a party for our Downlines and a few friends - that will be 120 people then *shock*.  It did get a little bigger than expected but we were suckers for not wanting anyone to miss out :)

Here are the Goody Bags that I put together for my downline:

I do like to spoil my ladies.  We are called the Stampin' Star Team and so everything was Star themed including the fluffy head boppers that I mad them wear :)  I'll share photos of what was in their bags another day soon, too much to share today!

So the party seemed a success in the seconds that I had to breathe and take it all in, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and enjoyed a place where alot of us could gather before convention.

It wasn't too much of a late night, but I just couldn't get to sleep, so with three hours sleep finally under my belt, we finally arrived at Addington Palace.  After last years experience of letting everyone else queue to check in etc before we did, we used that to our advantage and did the same this year.  The main stage wasn't opening until 11.45am so we got there at about 10am.  We collected our Convention bags with our goodies in (the fabulous Just Believe and Party This Way stamp sets, a programme, a pen, a catalogue and some pins / badges for my achievements).

We had a variety of sessions during the day, a mixture of business talks together with some creative presentations which made be laugh so much by the lovely Michelle Last and Julie Kettlewell - two ladies that I had the pleasure of spending some time with in Monaco and they both make me laugh so much!

The afternoon session over ran a bit so we didn't have quite the time to nip back to the hotel and get ready that I was expecting, but it was time for a quick bath, make up and hair and then we were off again.

I had a fantastic time during the evening.  Thanks to both my team and my customers, I was lucky enough to be able to walk across the stage several times this year.  You get to go up for achieving next year's Incentive Trip to Prague, for achieving over £10k of sales, for Recruiting, for Leadership of a team and overall for being in the Top 25 Demonstrators.  In all categories, I did better this last year (my second year) than I did in my first year so I was ecstatic to get into the TOP 3 of the company for Recruiting.  This means that not only do you need to grow your team, they all need to achieve a level of sales too and I thank every single one of you lovely ladies that chose me as their Upline to help with their Stampin' Up! journey!  I received a rose and a Cole Haan Designer handbag which is just beautiful and smells divine (photo courtesy of Julie as she got one too!).  I also received another four stamp sets to the two that I already aswell - thoroughly spoilt!

I was very proud to retain my rank as 5th Demonstrator of the Year - so again, thank you if you are one of my wonderful customers or one of my Stampin' Stars - couldn't have done any of this without you *gush!*

Here are my wonderful ladies, there were 28 Stampin' Stars that came to Convention!

Day continued with a morning of Make and Takes - again I will share those with you another day, some more business demonstrations, some exciting news that I can't share yet and more free stamps!

It was a great few days and I have many great memories from there - I laughed ALOT and there was huge excitement when they announced that next year's convention is going to be in DISNEYLAND, PARIS!!!!!To say that some of the team were a little excited by this is an understatement!

Would you like to be part of this amazing journey?  Would you like to come to Disneyland next year as a Stampin' Star?  Our group of wonderful ladies is forever growing and we welcome anyone who would like to start their own Stampin' Up! journey, whether as a hobby Demo who buys product for themselves at a discount or those who want a full time career.

I don't believe in hard sell or pressure, so if you would like to know more, then please feel free to either email me at natalie@oshea26.freeserve.co.uk or phone me on 01293 888816.

I look forward to starting your own journey with you - Good Luck and thanks once again everyone!

Well, it's all busy, busy, busy here as usual!

Can you believe that it's this week that I go to Stampin' Up's annual convention.  Remember that last year, I trekked off to Germany?  Well, this year, it's ultra glamourous - CROYDON!  Well, New Addington to be precise and Addington Palance no less :)

It's two days of workshops, comraderie and really just having some great fun, I will let you know all about it when I come back.

Anyway, Stampin' Up! have launched an offer for November and December - buy a Christmas Bundle and get a roll of ribbon FREE!  Here is more information on the bundles and ribbons:

Stampin' Up! trip to Prague!

Hi all,

I hope you are all well and enjoying this lovely weather (not!).  October is well and truly here.

One of the perks of my new job is that I get the school holidays off, so I am thankfully at home all week.  Lots to do though as Monica & I are throwing a Pre-Convention party next Thursday night and it's all busy busy busy! Lots to prepare for!

As you can see from the letter above, I got my confirmation that last month I received the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Prague next summer!  I really didn't think a few months back that I would do it but some hard work, some lovely customers and a great downline, all contributed to my achievement - THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! I couldn't have done it without you :)

So, lots going on at the moment but not much I can show you, but I'll leave you with this card here which is one of the cards that we made at my Stampin' Stars Team Training last weekend.

Dare I say the "C" word?

Yes, the Countdown to Christmas has begun! So what better way to kick off my inspiration piece than with a Christmas card! Not necessarily the "go to" Christmas colour, but I love this card - what says Christmas more than a bit of glitter too?

Here is a quick run-down on what I did to make this card.

Make your base card from Soft Suede Card.

Cut a smaller rectangle of Very Vanilla Card and mount on your base card.

Cut a small rectangle of Very Vanilla card for your centre.

Ink up your Serene Snowflake stamp with Versamark ink and then straight into the Soft Suede inkpad and then stamp your images on your card.

Cover the snowflakes with Heat & Stick powder, heat to melt, cover with Champagne or Gold Glitter and heat once more to set.

Use the Curly Cute stamp set to stamp your greeting in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla card , trim, round the corners with a punch and mount onto Soft Suede card. Mount on the centre of your snowflake panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Cut a peice of Soft Suede card to mount your snowflake panel on making sure that the border at the bottom is bigger.

Use your Scallop Trim punch to edge the bottom and mount your snowflake panel onto it. Mount onto your base card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Here is what I used:

106550 £7.50 Very Vanilla Card
119982 £6.25 Soft Suede Card
115438 £17.95 Serene Snowflakes
120510 £12.95 Curly Cute stamps
102283 £5.95 Versamark inkpad
115657 £4.95 Soft Suede inkpad
114286 £14.50 Fine Galaxy Glitter
100625 £3.75 Heat & Stick powder
118402 £14.25 Scallop Trim punch
119871 £6.25 Corner punch

Right, that's it from me for the moment.

Have fun!

A Simple Card

Time is still running away with me at the moment.

I think most of you know that I left my job running a Solicitors office in February this year to become the new Editor of Cards Magazine and launch Stamping Trends Magazine.  I also think that most of you know that this has all gone up the spout and over the summer, I found myself out of work.  Not really knowing what to do with myself, a friend told me about a job that came up at the local school (so local, I could walk to work!).  Cutting a long story short, on September 1st, I started my new job as a Cover Supervisor at the local Secondary School teaching 11 - 16 year olds.

It wasn't in my plan and it's definately not my vocation, but it gives me the school holidays off which right now in my life is my main concern.  Have you tried to cover 13 weeks of school holidays with only four weeks of annual leave from a job - it's not easy!

So, I'm back to work full time again which has taken a bit of adjusting to after being at home for six months, but no work means no money so that was no longer an option.

It is really hard and has most definately taken some adjustment but six weeks in and I think that I am finally getting there.  There are a real mixture of personalities in the 1300 odd kids that go to the school and there really can be some testing lessons but overall, it's more good than bad, so that can't be too bad and it's half term the week after next so a week off - wooo hooooo!

As you can apreciate though, it's left me with not alot of time left after being a Mum and Wife too, but I'm doing my best.

Stampin' Up's new catalogue is fabulous and I've been busy putting orders through this month as well as organising Paper Shares, In Colour shares and lots of other bits and bobs.

I'm having one to one phone calls with everyone in my first level downline too and that's two calls a night, every night for nearly 3 weeks which is keeping me on my toes, not to mention our Team Training on Saturday that I am prepping for too!

Nevermind, life's not fun if you're not busy!

It was my aunt's birthday on Sunday and so I whipped up a simple birthday card using some of the new products which you can see above.  The Stamp Sets are Curly Cute for the greeting and Going Green for the main image.  I've also used the lovely new colour known as Cherry Cobbler too which is just the best red in the world - love it, great for Xmas too! Used my Mat Pack to get those brads spaced perfectly too.  The Going Green stamp set is a great set for watercolouring too but I just wanted to keep this simple.

So that is another update from me for the time being and I'll be back soon with more news / cards to share with you.

Have fun!

Zoooommm...

That's the days passing by so quickly again.

Thought I'd better pop on and at least expand on something from the previous post, so I thought I would start with an interesting one - our one day Craft Event a month ago. Here are some pictures:

We had a great day with lots of lovely ladies who enjoyed themselves.  I think we outdid ourselves with a 12 hour Craft Event - Zoe and I were on our knees by the end of it but they are great fun! And we are planning to do one again.

Make sure you are on my mailing list as I will be sending out information shortly about a December Day, a January Day and an April weekend! Watch this space!

I am patiently waiting for my first order from the new catalogue to turn up so that I can start playing with some goodies, but both you and I will have to wait for that one! I'm crossing my fingers for delivery this Friday and then I will have the weekend to play!

For those of you on my mailing list, you should have received some information about the Paper Shares / In Colour products shares and Stampers Group that will be starting soon.  I have a couple of spaces left on each share, so let me know if you would like to join me for any!

Right, that's it for today - back again soon,

Here it is! Stampin' Up! Retirement List

Okay, here it is. This is what is retiring from the current Stampin' Up! catalogue and only valid until stocks last or September 30th whichever comes first.

Last year popular items did sell out, so I urge you to not wait too long if there is something on here that you are after, then get it quick before it goes.

I can take payment by cash, cheque, bank transfer or Paypal and will be placing orders every day!

On another note, being a Demonstrator, I have just seen a preview of the new catalogue and WOWEEEEE! It's fabulous! Now I can't of course share with you what is in it now, but I can confirm that prices have increased a bit, so if there is something in the catalogue that is staying (i.e. not on this list) but you like, it will be cheaper for you to buy this month too!

So what are you waiting for? Click on the link below to be taken to the SEVEN PAGES of retiring items:

I look forward to hearing from you!

Two Step Stampin' Promotion

Just popping in to share a quick card with you using one of this months 20% off stamp sets.  This is a card that we made a while ago in our Greenhouse Garden class.  This is a class offered by Jenny Moors so I can't claim this beauty as my own design but how lovely is it.

The Greenhouse Garden set is one of the most popular Stampin' Up! Sets and you can see why above.

Remember that this offer is only available until the end of next Tuesday at this price, so don't wait too long.

Next Wednesday marks the launch of the Retirement list and I can't wait to see what sets won't be making it into the new catalogue.  As Demonstrators, I'll be able to see the new catalogue next Wednesday too - as you can imagine, there is lots of exciting things in the Demo world at the moment!

Have fun!

Have you missed me?

We've been away to Tenerife :)  And whilst it was my intention to pre-do some blog posts, time (as always) ran away with me before we went.

We had a fab time - the weather was great, the apartment was great and if everything hadn't have been so expensive, then the whole thing would have been fantastic!

Having been to Menorca two years ago, we knew that the Euro exchange rate had meant that lots of things were more expensive but whether we forgot or whether everything had just gone up, I'm not sure, but to say that every evening meal was between £80 - £110 for the four of us, needless to say we had breakfast and made lunch ourselves - and no we weren't eating caviar each night LOL!

But, we are back, nearly caught up with washing etc and I've got my work hat back on.

So where are things in the Stampin' Up! world.....

Well, there are just two weeks left to get the discounted 2 step stamp sets available in my below post, so don't wait much longer if any of those tickle your fancy :)

I am closing bookings for our September 4th day TOMORROW (Friday) so if you are thinking you still want to join us, I have five places left and that's it!  So, let me know asap if you want to join us - it's going to be a fab day and the classes are great (even if I say so myself :) ).

September 1st is a big day for SU Demos.  Not only do we see what will be retiring from the current catalogue, we will also get the "SALE" list which hasall retiring products and their discounted products.

Also, on Sep 1st, we get our first glimpse of our new catalouge which is valid from October 1st!  I'm very excited to see what SU have in store for us for the coming year!  With the colour renovation happening with the launch of the new catalogue too, there will be lots of things retiring next month and lots of new things coming too - I can't wait!

What I would say about the retiring list though, is once it is out, then it really is whilst stocks last and then on October 1st, you can't order them again whether there are stocks left or not, so when I post the retirement list, if there is something that you like, don' leave it too long to order it!

I will also be listing three kits by mail on my website later today, so if you want to get your Christmas Cards started, then have a look here for more information on them later today!

Right, I think that is enough gabbling for now, I'll be back soon with more info.

Hope you are all enjoying the school holiday!

Have fun!

Crazy Crazy round here

This is going to be quick and then I'm going to run again.

The school holidays are in full swing now - the "I'm bored!'s" have already started - yep, it's just week 1!

I'm up to my eyes in magazine work which I have to have completed before I go away.

The shop to get Ethan's new school uniform for September is only open until next week.

Operation "have we got everything we need for 9 days away from home" has started to get ready for next week when we leave for Tenerife!  We do have a house sitter whilst we are away to feed the cat but who knows what it will look like when we return!

I will be back to let you know Stampin' Up!'s August offer and about a day event Zoe and I have in September, but it won't be much crafting from me at the moment I'm afraid.

Hope you and your children are surviving the holidays if they have started in your house.

Have fun!

Hello strangers :)

It's been a while again hasn't it?  I forever seem to think that time flies when you are having fun and we have certainly been having that around here at the moment.

Things are really busy as we are today at the last day of term for the boys.  Ethan leaves Junior School today and ventures up to High School (secondary school to us oldies!) in September.  He is really looking forward to it which is great although the signs of "Kevin and Perry" are already starting to show!

So in two hours, we have six weeks of "I'm bored" starting :)

It's been an incredibly busy week what with one thing and another but I did find time yesterday to make these for the boys to give to their teachers...

I have used Stampin' Up! Night & Day papers together with some gems that I got in Paperchase to make a small card that goes in the pocket on the front of the bag and I put some nice chocolates in a cellophane bag inside too.  Hopefully the teachers will like them!

Anyway, not got long until they come back, so I'd better get on!

Have fun!
