In an effort to clean....

So I've been eying this ebook lately and now I can download it for free today because I blogged about it!! Keeping up with 2 and one is teething, I've been horrible at keeping up the blog! So sorry. I can't make any promises that I'll do a better job...but take a look at this ebook, it sounds good! http://http://31daystoclean.com/

Someone turned two

So Nate turned two today. We didn't do much for his birthday but managed to get some sand finally for his sand box thats been built for awhile. About 5 min into playing it started raining though. So we went inside and watched Milo and Otis with pizza. If the movie doesn't have a dog he won't sit for than 5 min to watch it. Some of the other pictures are from when we were still at the hospital with Eva and Mom brought down some presents to open for him and we went to the park. Way cooler than the park was the water fountains. On the small on he could almost get a drink by himself, but as he leaned over to get the water he would start releasing the button and inevitably just barely miss out on the water. The tall fountain was also lots of fun because of how far it shot.

Going home and meeting Nate

So we got to go home today. Nate sure enjoyed meeting his little sister and had to hold her constantly and point out her nose, eyes, mouth and every other facial feature. Luckily he was pretty gentle. So nice to be home. Sorry we haven't put up more pics recently, sleeping was just to luring. She's finally been gaining weight and eating a bunch on her own so the doctors said they couldn't find any other reason to keep her other than she's cute. Thanks for all the prayers.

So I'm not the best camera man, but I thought I would post this video of nate from last weekend mainly because at times he looks very narvesen at times. It's also funny because he loves water, but apparently not when its from a sprinkler he could easily run away from. Also we don't want him feeling too left out of the whole blog thing.

An

Not much new today except that Sonja got to feed Eva today with a syringe which was a lot of fun. Nate also came and will be joining us for a few days. It's nice to have to have him here and be able to see him again even though he can't see the baby yet. He showed up and was all excited to tell us about the water he saw. Which apparently was when he crossed the bridge to come here. Thanks to the Grabers and Dieters who have been able to help and also to everyone else who has offered, We have so many offers we won't be able to use them all up if we had the chance and thats really wonderful. Continue to pray for her and her lungs, all the tests for infections came back negative which is great. Also wonderful is the fact that we were able to get a much discounted rate for the guest housing so we will be able to stay right across the road from the hospital, which is a huge blessing.

NICU life....

Thanks to Tante Sara Cornell for doing this picture below! Sara is Eva's Godmommy! I was hoping to write more details of things, but I'm exhausted. It's tough trying to recover from giving birth and then have this experience on top of it, so someday i'll write more. As for Eva, she's being doing the same as when she was transferred. She's on cpap and they really haven't changed the settings, they are just giving her time. They are hoping in 3-5 days her lungs will be good and ready and then we work on feeding...so again it looks like we'll be here for 2 wks. Please just be praying for us all, recovery, emotions, stresses of just this whole situation....we are so thankful for all the love, support and prayers we have received! Our family has been so supportive and it's so hard to be so far away during this time, but we are so blessed with the friends God has given us here. Our friends that have so graciously helped with nate these last couple days THANK YOU...he's coming to be with us tomorrow and we can't wait to see him! We kept telling Eva tonight that if nate saw all her owies he'd be giving her constant kisses!!

If you look closely she's holding Daddy's wedding ring in her hand...

Daddy and Eva. Daddy needs to learn to be better at taking pictures of mommy and me!!

Cpap free face!! It was so nice to hear her make some noise!! She is daddy's girl, her respiratory rate usually slows down when daddy puts her hand on her and starts talking, she was like this inutero too. She'd push so hard on me and then dave would place his hand there and she would calm down and stop.

Love to you all and we'll keep you posted!!
Just so you know, Eva is at Providence St Vincent Hospital in Portland OR.

A 4 pound 9 ounce surprise

So we got a bit of a suprise this morning. At 12:20 PM Eva Grace Narvesen was born at 4 pounds 9 oz. Sonja woke up this morning with contractions and decided that we should go to the hospital. I thought it was a false alarm and didn't even bring a camera or shoes and socks for nate (who has luckily been taken care of by wonderful friends on very short notice, and thankfully the hospital had a camera for such situations). They tried to stop the labor but were unsuccessfull and so she came. Being 6 weeks early her lungs are not quite fully developed and she had to be taken to a Portand hospital with a Nicu that could take care of her. For a premie she is doing very well but needs some time for her lungs to catch up, the doctors are saying right now that everything is looking great as far as things go. She's tiny but has a little chub still. Sonja is doing good apart from the scariness of the whole situation and should hopefully be discharged tomorrow morning so we can go down to Portland. Being apart is not very fun. We can't get to facebook from the hospital and our email doesn't seem to be working well here otherwise we would send and post more. Please pass our blog on to people as well. We'll keep you updated on how things are going. Please be praying for us as well with health and all the craziness thats going to be happening with her being in Portland. Thanks
