I tried a different tactic tonight on photographing the hummingbirds. First of all I took down all the feeders except for one. Then I taped all the holes on the feeder on the opposite side of the camera. Then I put the camera on the tripod and had it about 3 feet from the feeder. I decided to use the flash and the remote radio shutter release and sit my rear on the porch! I also tried to adjust the shutter speed so it was super fast on the camera, but I couldn't get it past 200. I know that was probably due to the flash being on and it seems I have some more learning to do...but I am extremely happy with the colors and clearness of the photos....the best I've taken yet!! I'm going to keep trying too, lol!! Can't help myself...I want that perfect photo of a hummer!!
