Yesterday in church a man shared a short poem his dad wrote, "The flowers and blooming, The trees are blossoming, So what is this white stuff?" This is what I woke up to this morning.

Wha-Hoo!
J called me last night and said, "Mom, can I use the computer for about 1/2 hour if I did something really drastic?" The question confused me and he said, "it's good, something you will REALLY like...I'm almost home, I'll show you in a minute." He then pulled into the driveway, walk into the house and shocked us with a new haircut! Wha-Hoo! I gave him a big hug and told him that I love it! He said he was at Walmart picking something up. At our Walmart they have a hair salon right at the entrance to the store. He said a girl there told him he needed a haircut. "Ya, whatever. " But he said the girl was really flirty and offered to cut it for free. He must have thought she was cute because he took her up on the offer... and my son has a new look! Just incase you forgot his usual look I posted 2 before pictures and one after.

T's Surgery
Thank goodness for phones! I forgot my camera, but was glad to still get some photos.
T had to be at the hospital this morning at 6:30 to get her gallbladder out. Because of her Von Willebrand Factor they gave had to order a clotting agent that they matched to her blood and they also had blood preordered and ready incase she needed a transfusion. Gratefully, she did not need it. She finally went into surgery at 9:40 and was out by 10:00. We left the hospital for home at about 1:30. She was giddy and nervous before the surgery. Really anxious. After she was (and is) in a lot of pain. She doesn't handle pain well. She is currently on Loritab and laying upstairs in my room. She is shocked that it "hurts so much!" She really didn't think it would. She should feel a lot better tomorrow, and continually get better each day. She is a trooper.

Prom
You may be wondering why I have MY prom photo posted so I will go ahead and tell you...
J had his Junior Prom yesterday. That's a big day, a big deal to the girls at least! He took his girlfriend of 5 months. They went with some friends and went to a nice, pricey restaurant for dinner, then the dance and then to a friends for games. He PROMISED he would stop by the house with the dates to let me take pictures AND I gave him a camera to snap a few shots. BUT NO, they were "running late" and he "forgot" to take pictures so poor mom is left with nothing to blog but MY PROM picture! If I ever see one from someone else, I will post it. In the meantime, rest assured he and his date had a good time at his prom, as well did I at mine.

Benefits of a Cabinet Shop
To make a long story short, I am now the owner of a scrapbook hutch that I love! I am so excited! The shop that my husband's family owns and operates, had a display hutch and I became the owner of it! The doors weren't laquered at the time of delivery but are now finished and when they are installed, I will take another photo of the hutch to share along with all it's features. I was so excited to have a place to organize my mess of scrapbooking supplies. Once it was put into place, I loaded it up. Thanks KD Cabinets! And thanks to my boys and friends for hauling the thing into the house!

President's Day fun
I haven't had much time lately to blog so I am behind. I am finally going to catch up some and have scheduled a few extra blogs coming up this week to catch up on some photos that have been waiting patiently on my SD Card. So here is the first. We originally planned on going out of town for President's weekend with the kids but when it came right down to it, it was not really in the budget. So instead, on President's Day in the evening for FHE we took the kids to FAT CATS for bowling, arcade games, and even a ride on the bumper cars. It wasn't cheap, but in comparison to a weekend get-away, it was a bargain and we all had a great time!
