Valentine's Day

I just thought I'd give a little up-date since I haven't blogged in awhile. It just seems life keeps moving right along and I forget to jot the moments down. And then, when something happens that I think others might be interest in I don't have a camera (or I don't think to take pictures at the time!) Anyway, we had a nice weekend. Our Valentine's celebration started early, on Friday the 13th. K took me out to lunch to Bajio's during the day and in the evening we had our annual Stake Dinner & Dance. This year the theme was "An Evening in Paris". We had dinner served to us by the single adult ward, a program featuring singers, dancers, and musicians from the stake, and then some dancing. I was able to coax K into about 5 dances. He used to dance with me alot. He says that was to catch me. Now that he has me I can know that he doesn't really like to dance. Go figure! Anyway, we had a nice evening. J's friends came up from Alpine to spend the weekend and Saturday morning K and one of the friends made pancakes for everybody. During the day K worked at the shop and as I worked on the computer I listened to J and his friends jamming on the guitars, making up funny songs, and competeing in rapping challenges. J had a Valentines dance at the school and came home for a bit before the dance with his date. I didn't know he was going to do so and K and I were already gone for evening and no one here thought of taking pictures! They just told me how pretty she looked etc. I was sad to have pictures. I hope to get copies from her family.
K and I went out to dinner. We went Thai. It is always a favorite. Then when we were home waiting for J to come home from his date, he suddenly ran into the house saying loudly, "Dad, I need you!" That warms a dad's heart! The roads were super icy and he, being a new driver, spun out the car and into a ditch. I wasn't speeding, cars were off the road all over the place, while I snuggled under my warm blankets in bed, K and J spent an hour or so digging out the car and pulling it back to the road with K's police Durango. The camera was the last thing on their mind, so we don't have picture. Bummer.... anyway, no one was hurt, no car damage, all is well. P.S. The cookies in the photo are J's from his date. Notice one is partially eaten. I snatched it away for a quick photo.

Wax on...Wax off

After FHE tonight, CE heated up the wax and said he was going to attack his uni brow. (Not his first time. I told him a uni brow is manly, but he didn't buy it.) As he was putting on the wax he decided he wanted to see what it would feel like on his peach fuzz mustache and his arm pit hair. He is a glutton for punishment! So he put a dab on his 'stach and a swipe on his arm pit...just for fun. Look how happy he looks before removing the wax. I enjoyed the wax off portion of his "fun" and had to get the camera. After he almost had it all off I thought I should of had the video! Then I remembered my camera does video also and switched it over... although I missed most of the "fun" I still captured a little bit on video. Here are some snap shots and the video clip.

"Hey, I got some!"
