Football season started and CE has been busy with practices and games. The team is struggling this year but he still loves it! Go #50

T played Bocci Ball with Special Olympics this summer. She had a good time at the tournament. In between matches they played BINGO --she really like that!

K celebrated a birthday and CE wanted to see if K was now too old to wrestle. CE quickly found out that his dad still has it.
L got engaged and we are now planning a Nov. wedding.

Activity Days had a Daddy Daughter 50's night. Someone came and taught the Swing to the dads and daughters.

CD getting on the Heber Kreeper for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on the Train. It was fun for all of us. (Too bad L had to work and missed out....but we are glad she has the job!) Well, there is a bit of a catch up. Some of the UPS of summer!

I can't get my Internet working on my computer so I am using my husband's laptop which does not have a slot for my SD card....so possibly more photos later. This photo was taken on J's phone last night as he took K to the Dr. office and the the ER (while I was in Cedar Hills visiting a friend). K wasn't thinking and instead acting more in desperation as he was climbing onto a roof (without a ladder) and took a fall onto several boulders below. He is not real clear on the details since it knocked him unconscious. He did say that that was an awkward feeling coming too and not being quite sure what happened and looking around at his surroundings trying to piece everything together. As he drove home it got harder and harder to breathe so as soon as he got home he grabbed J and had him drive him to the Dr. office insta-care. He said they were sure making a fuss over him and gave him the option of an ambulance of J driving him to the hospital. J drove him and although the waiting room was full they looked at him and took him right back. I arrived at the hospital while he was getting a CT scan. Despite the blood on the back of his his head and his massive headache, the CT scan of his head and neck looked good. The most pain he has is from his chest wall contusion. He broke one vertebrae in his back and although that will keep him inactive for awhile, he does not need surgery and there is no nerve or spinal cord damage. We feel he was really blessed and his guardian angels must have help soften his fall. He his happy do deal with all the pain knowing how much worse it could have been.
As we drove home the other night we decide to take the long way home and snap a few photos with our little pocket camera. Here is a sampling.
CD had a "casual" luau themed piano recital on the 13th. It had been rescheduled due to the teacher being sick. CD was thrilled to finally have it and she did a fantastic job.

I had to take this photo of K standing by this rail handcart because he used to race using this exact car. Soon after we first got married I watched him race. There were several local teams and some professional traveling teams also. Klint's team won 2nd place the year I watched and 1st the prior year.
We didn't know it before we went, but the Union Station was also hosting the Arts Festival. That was great. I loved hearing the performances and browsing the booths. CD enjoyed the crafts.
CD played Beauty and the Beast. She was a little nervous so had a slip up, but recovered well and did a fantastic job. I included a video of her song. Some other talents included singing, hula-hooping, magic tricks, speed stacking etc.
