Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving with family this year! We had dinner at my dad's home--Thanks S and J for helping get it ready while I was at football! It was delicious and very filling---apropos for Thanksgiving!

T found he had a natural talent for the drums.

My brother's family stayed at our home and many of the kids
sleeped in the basement.

Dad took us out to eat on Friday. T sure likes
being with Grandpa! (As do the other grandkids!)

I've been Tagged ("by two")

So my sister tagged me a few days ago, and I suppose I should respond. Especially since I haven't taken any pictures this week!

Two Names You Go By: Well, one is the name of the blog, Na-ding-a-ling. Thanks goodness not very often, and only by my family. (However, my college roommates may have used it a few times also!) Two---hummm... let's think about this. Howcome the only two nicknames I can think of are not flattering!!! Something is wrong here, but the only other nickname I have is Na. You might not think that is bad, but my siblings would always say it "Neigh" with their best horse impression possible. Do I look like a horse? I don't think so!

Two Things You are Wearing Right Now: A bra. I do really good since having kids. In college I used to forget sometimes (when you are flat it is easy to forget...really!) I would be so embarrased when I'd be in class and scratch my back or something and suddenly realize that I had forgotten to put on my bra! I haven't forgotten in several years now and I am proud of that fact! I am also currently wearing shoes. I am a barefoot person and shoes usually come once I come indoors. I don't bother to put on shoes if I am not leaving the house. And even then, I don't always wear them. If my husband is with me, he makes me at least bring them in the car with me "just in case".

Two Things You Want Right Now: A dinner date. Unfortunately my husband worked from 1:00am last night until 3:30pm today and is already in bed asleep. I don't expect him to get up until morning. I would also love a clean house. I suppose I could get off the computer and get to work, and I suppose I may, but that is not how I like to spend my Friday nights! Something is so discouraging about doing dishes, picking up, etc. just to have it all messed up again! I wish my kids cared....but they don't.

Two Things You Did Last Night: It was CD's night last night....parent teacher conference, tumbling, and piano lessons. So I shuttled. Then I made Taco Salad for dinner at the request of K....however he worked late and didn't get to eat any of it until 9:00! (and yes, he was back to work at 1:00)

Two Things You Ate Today: Grapes. Yum... I love grapes. I found them last night on sale at Albertson's and just had to buy some. I also had a bowl of ice-cream after I got home from substitute teaching. I also love ice-cream and haven't had any in awhile so that was my lunch today. I know, not so healthy.... but it does have needed calcium!

Two Favorite Drinks: Like my sister, fresh squeezed lemonade. I sure miss the lemons on my parents lemon tree in California. There is nothing better than homemade lemonade on a hot summer day. Another top on my list is Sonics Lemon-Berry slush. I sure wish we had a Sonic close to home!

Two People I am Tagging: My dad---since he has already been tagged but hasn't responded and I am sure he could delight us all with a peek into his day.... and my cousin. I don't care which one. I have a few that check in once in awhile and I would love to hear from any of you!

Leaves

It was cold but the job needed to be done and we made fun of it....
the dogs even enjoyed raking leaves! They often jumped
in the piles, chased the rakes etc. We filled lots of bags!

Halloween Night

My kids are getting to old for trick-or-treating. It was weird taking just one this year!
CD had a lot of fun as Dracula's baby. She went with her two cousins.
I went with them and enjoyed watching all the kids from the neighborhood.
I guess CE decided he wanted some candy after all and he came with us for a bit later.

Trunk-or-Treat

On the 30th we had our annual ward Trunk-or-Treat.
The kids always love that---I get a kick out seeing
all the creative trunks.

This is a lady I visit teach. I just love her hat!

CD is reaching in a trunk for her treat...

Activity Day Mother--Daughter Activity

Last Wednesday I went to an Activity Day's mother-daughter activity with CD.
We played games and had dinner. I had a great time with CD.

One game was the "mummy" relay. First the mom's wrapped up the daughter's
with toilet paper then they hopped across the floor where the daughter's then wrapped
up their mom's. It was a lot harder than it sounds. The TP kept breaking--CD and I are
the two at the far right of the photo.

Thank goodness the mom's didn't have to do this one!
It was a hoot watching the girls though!
CD is at the left.

This is our dinner. Complete with Swamp Water, Spiders, Halloweenies,
Fingers, and a mouth.

FHE--PIZZA!

Last Monday K decided to do something fun for Family Home Evening
and asked if we could make pizzas. So I went shopping during the day
and bought some pepperoni and a few other toppings. The kids made their own pizzas
and K and I made a couple big ones with the extra dough that anyone could eat.
We ate our pizza and watched "Leatherheads". We had fun.
