Undefeated!

CE finished the season games last Sat. so I thought I'd share a few photos from the game. I also had other photos (but I can't remember what) but they are no longer on the chip....it is a good thing I can't remember what they were!
CE is the one with the black underarmor (black long sleeves).

CE is 61 and you can see him going for the take down.

Leaving the game after an undeafed season. The score was 36-6. Playoffs start on Oct. 4. The top 16 (of 37) teams play in the playoffs. CE's team is one of 6 teams that are undeafed. Good Job CE and Good Luck!

Catch Up Time!

It has been awhile, as L has mentioned, I am computer impared. K has been bringing his work computer home at night so I can use it since mine has died. But with school in session and 5 children, both the desktop and his laptop are in use by the kids all evening. By the time they are done, I am too tired to blog. I don't know why our desktop doesn't read my chip---but since it doesn't, I will just blog when I can!

These football pictures are actually from last week. They were a big team with a good record and I feared that we might lose our undefeated record to them. But, we played a great game and we stomped on them. CE is #61. He blocked some big guys (one was 6'3"!) and did a great job. It was 36-0. Second half the coach played him all over. He was Center on Offense and and various defensive positions. He didn't leave the field 2nd half. The coach mixed everybody up and tried them in new positions. They had a good time.
Although the picture is still from last week, This week the coach did the same and mixed them all up 2nd half since it was another shut-out. And again, CE didn't leave the field all of second half. The score was 35-0. If you would like to follow CE's games the website is http://www.wffl.com/ click on "standings" then "jr midget" then go to region 3A and he is on the North Ogden team. You can also follow the playoffs which start Oct. 4 by clicking "post season" instead of "standings" then "jr. midget" or go to the following: http://wffl.com/cgi-bin/wfflplayoffsdb.cgi?D=jrmidget

So after the game today K went to one of the homes they recently finished to take some pictures of their work to add to their portfolio. Here is an entertainment center they made. (Notice K's reflection in the TV as he takes the photo!)

This is one of the bathrooms in the home. (How is it that our bathroom cabinet is still unfinished! Our basement bathroom has had just the box installed for a couple of years. It would sure be nice to get our doors and drawers! Not to mention the countertop! Hint, Hint!)
Here is their kitchen. We even made the oven/stove hood to order.

Now this is the best I could do at getting an "after" picture of CE complete with food on his upper lip! Notice, the braces are now off! I tell his he now has a $4000 smile!

Unfortunately this is the best photo I have of J's "float" in the homecoming parade. K was driving the truck. I used the camera on the "video" mode while J went by. I tried to download that but encountered and "error". J had a good time with his friends. Tonight he is at the Homecoming Dance, hopefully have a good (and safe) time!

Wyoming

Early this morning K and I picked up my sister-in-law, Renee, and K's cousin, Lisa and we drove to Green River, Wyoming for a funeral. K's cousin, Tammy, lost her husband this past weekend when a driver ran a stop sign and hit him broadside while he was riding his Harley. He left behind his wife and 3 children, 5 brothers, two sisters and his mother. (His father passed away when he was in jr. high.) We were glad to be able to attend the funeral and our prayers are with Tammy and her children and all of Dean's family.

K's brother took all the family pictures---he is our family photographer---but before we went to the chapel for the funeral, K drove us by his grandpa and grandma A's home that they lived in after they retired from the ranch. They sold it in the 60's. K remembers playing in the yard at this home above.

When his grandparents moved in the '60's, they moved to this home a few blocks away--so K has lots of memories here also.

On the way home we stopped for gas and were there with the wienermobile. So, of course I had to step out and take a few photos...

CE said he would pay good money to go for a ride in this. I wonder it it has a grill and plenty of hot dogs to eat on the road?
