We hate the month of August. It reminds us that summer is coming to an end and school must start. However, I might enjoy a little routine around here some more!!
First a couple cute pictures of this little stinker. You'd never know he cries all the time and makes life so hard. Actually, when I see these pictures I can't imagine not just loving him to pieces. I love the grandpa trip in the picture above. He's done this will all our kids and I think it's pretty tricky!!
Just a couple more outings before real life. We made it up to Hoogle Zoo. I used to love to take Jake and luke to the Columbus Zoo when they were little, but we hardly ever get up to salt lake with all the kids. It was a fun a rare occasion. We even took along a straggler Kaanga for some fun.
Mimi thought the gorilla was pretty cool.
It wasn't too hot, surprisingly, and the animals were pretty fun!
Poor Sam. Just got his cast off and we went to the Provo Rec to swim. The kids were playing in the playground and as Sam was racing to go UP the tube slide, he hit his head square on the top of the tube. He didn't have stitches, just some glue. Nothing tough Sam can't handle.
Luke is so cute with the babies. Here we are as a family, sitting on the front lawn. Usually dad starts to throw the football, or the baseball or shoots some hoops with the boys. It's my FAVORITE time of day on these long summer nights. Sitting out front and enjoying the Utah air and my family.
This old man finally turned 38. We sure love our daddy. He got up and worked out early so instead of breakfast in bed, we just sang to him at the breakfast table. He is for sure everyone's favorite. We are so lucky to have a hard working but fun guy to lead this household. Happy Birthday Taylor! Just look at all these cute humans you are in charge of protecting. :)
Jake and Luke got to go on their first camp out together. The are pretty dang good friends. I'm so grateful they love each other. Jake is not always patient with Luke, but I think it makes Luke tough. thanks to our 12th ward leaders who make it so fun for these boys.
Oh yeah! and Natie finally lost a tooth. This boy likes to keep his baby teeth in his mouth. He's starting first grade and this is his first tooth gone. I'm sure they'll be going quick now though.
I think we are at the mall in this picture, because that looks like a balloon from Red Robin. I stole away the working man and we went to lunch quick with mimi and the baby. All smiles for this girl when it comes to Daddy time.
Mr. Luke turned 11 and also was awarded his arrow of light in cub scouts. On to boy scouts.... Oh boy, I've got 2 I need to get through to eagle now. Let the merit badging begin!!
The two Andrews. Fortunately, my nephew goes by Andy and our little Andrew goes by Drew. Sweet cousins (coming together for Colby's mission farewell. We are sure going to miss that kid, but hopefully we'll get to see him up north for school after. We are excited Kason will be closer for a little while as he attends BYU. Yipee).
