Hello Stranger, I've Missed You!
It seems like forever since I've blogged, but I am back with lots of pictures to show you from our vacation road trip to South Carolina!
Okay, here are the FACTS!
FACT: This post will have a lot of photos!!!
FACT: We had a blast!
I took this of Izzy right before we left, I just had to show you!
First stop on the trip was Shiloh, Illinois...we got there pretty late, so we just took some photos inside the hotel.
On the way we saw a sign for a city called Metropolis, Illinois...we had to stop!
It had Superman everything! Plus there was a couple of museums to wander through and pass the time...
The world's largest Superman statue!
It looks like Izzy is riding on Gabe's back!
One of the museum's was a Hollywood theme...
Man are these wax figures detailed???
This next photo is a little racy, so if you have small children around...cover their eyes...
I couldn't believe they had this in a family museum!
After Illinois we stayed in Powell, Tennessee, it was really close to Gatlinburg so we headed over there to the Ripley's Aquarium...
If you are ever in Gatlinburg, this is a must see!!!
Our GPS took us on some interesting routes through the mountains, but it was worth it when you get to see sights like this...
I think that Izzy was trying to push me off the mountain!
Next stop...Summerville, South Carolina!
Izzy LOVED the water and the sand!
We stayed with Gabe's brother Willie and his family, we had so much fun spending time with them!
We all went to downtown Charleston and walked around on the boardwalk...I forgot my camera in the car...Ragan got really sick and just about passed out from the heat! We ate at a really neat brewery that had 3 floors, poor Ragan...she threw up on the table during lunch (thank goodness she just drank water) she felt much better after that! When we got back she got sick again, I figured she was a little dehydrated and over heated so we made the kids stay indoors the rest of the evening.
On the way home we stayed in Kodak, Tennessee. I bought the kids some yummy treats from a candy shop across the street from our hotel called the Chocolate Monkey...
Ragan wouldn't eat any of it!
This was taken inside our hotel room when we stayed in Louisville, Kentucky...the geese really wanted to come inside! We fed them some crackers and the next morning I heard them pecking at the glass wanting more!
That evening we went to Joe's Crab Shack for dinner, the kids thought it was pretty funny that Gabe and I wore bibs!
The restaurant was right on the Ohio River, it was so pretty down there!
To answer your question...Yes, she is as amazing in person as she is on her blog!
Love you Jamie, I wish we could have spent more time together....come on September!!!
FACT: I am glad to be home!
xoxo~Meg
