Well, I am tired of long, so today DD and I went with a dear friend to get our hair cut. My friend's aunt is a hair stylist and she permed and cut my hair...here is a before
and after:
Its going to take some getting use to...I have had my hair long for several years and I haven't had a perm in at least 20yrs! So, my Curling iron and I are becoming good friends again!
Tuesday, I get to wash my hair...can't wait to wash some of the perm smell out... Ewwwww!
No, its not colored(just the lighting) BUT DD and my Stylist WANT me to get it colored. I said, "Lets wait...one drastic step at a time!"
Here is DD and I...sorry its blurry:

Cake Auction!
This past Sunday was the Youth Cake Auction at our church. Every year, since our oldest DS was in 9th grade we have particpated in this auction. Here are our youngest three and their entries.
Our church family is so generous when they bid! One of the cakes, a Pineapple Upside Down cake went for $170! That cake was purchased by our Associate Pastor who LOVES this type cake(one year, he bought on for over $450!) The money is divided up evenly among the kids who baked cakes...there were 50 cakes. These monies go to help the youth got to Youth retreats during the year.
Our kids when they leave our house will be excellent bakers!
Can you say yum!!

What Does Your Birthdate Mean??
Pam posted this on her blog... What does your birthdate mean?
Not too sure about this...
Not too sure about this...
You Are a Leader |
Independent and dominant, you tend to be the alpha dog in most situations. You're very confident, and hardly anything ever shakes you. Mundane tasks tend to drain you - you prefer to be making great plans. You are quite original. When people don't "get" you, it bothers you a lot. Your strength: Your ability to gain respect Your weakness: Caring too much what others think Your power color: Orange-red Your power symbol: Letter X Your power month: October |
I've been tagged...
My friend Colleen has done gone and tagged so here are the rules;
Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
1. Pick the 6th Folder, then select the the 6th picture in that folder.
2. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
3. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

BOM?
BOM...most scrapbookers know that this is the abbreviation for "Book of Me".
Any of you ever done one??? Do you continually add to it?
For a long time I have wanted to do one, but really didn't have the time raising up 4 young ones.
Now that they are older...I have been challenged at MoreThanScrapbooking to start a BOM.
Penny challenged us to try and complete a layout a week (using some prompts from her for each week) and at the end we would have 52 pages. Well that sounds like a lot of info about me...we will see! Anyway...working on my page and will post later this week.

Feb. and what I have been up to...
Well, here it is the 2nd month of the year...already!
I need to make some cards! Fortunately there was an online crop at More Than Scrapbooking last weekend and I got quite a few made!
Here are a few of the cards I completed...
Thanks to Loretta for the owl images!
Ten Second Studio for the Kiss Me Pink metal
Tim Holtz's Crackle Paint on the Grunge heart!
The rest of the cards were scraps and a much needed stash that needs to be used up!
