New stuff
No kidding.
Hahahahahaha. So there is this Chinese New Year celebration coming up in college and my batch has to come up with some performances. I thought it might be time I try something new. Dancing may be a little extreme.... but hey, at least I chose the Kung Fu one to the graceful one, okay? So at least, I won't ruin the show with my clumsiness.
We've got these big red kung fu fans which make sounds like explosions when you open them. It's even louder when the fan accidentally flies away from your hand and crashes on the ground. =p Since the celebration is just two weeks away, we practise every evening after school ends. Lots more to do next week.
Then on every alternate nights, I have to go and help my house paint the backdrop for Bangsawan night. My painting's horrible but oh wells. There will always be somebody better than me to clean it up. Haha.
Yesterday, my English Literature teacher baked us a cake for "successfully" pulling in a Bank Negara scholar to join the class. "Successfully" because as soon as the cake arrive, we got the news that the scholar was going to drop the class. -__-"
Connection here in the jungle is not awesome. My laptop is still lacking in a lot of programmes. Downloads are extremely slow. Youtube loading is terrible. But other than that, I'm doing fine. I haven't got a lot of food for myself, but that's fine. There are still people around with plenty of food. I guess some things just haven't changed! Hahahahahaahhaahaha!
There is also an Elaine who is really nice and who also already holds several embarrassing incidents of mine in her head. And it's only been 2 weeks! She predicts that by 18 months, she will hold about 72 embarrassing incidents of mine in her head. =.=! There was this one which involved me and a very sour fruit. It was really sour okay! So I gave this "reaction" la. But when she acted it out, it was... er... =.="
Did I mention I got lost two days ago to the Music Room for CF? The Music Room is kinda in the middle of nowhere so you can't blame me really.... I was walking with Elaine.
A short distance after we came out of the chalet
Elaine: Do you hear drums?
Me: Ha? No. The Music Room's in the middle of nowhere.
So we walked somemore.
Me: You do know where it is, right? I'm following you.
Elaine: I'm following you!
So we made a huge round around the boys' chalet.
Me: Er... okay. It's really dark! Should we call for help?
Elaine: If you want to, call la.
Me: Do you think we'll be late? Oh! Puddle of water!
Elaine: I can push you into it and then you can say, we got so lost, I even fell into a puddle!
Me: Come on! I already bathed in BROWN water!
So I called for directions.
Me: *right after I hung up*
Elaine: It's just in front there!
Me: ...... *thinks how pointless it was to call*
Elaine: Told you I heard drums!!
Me: ... *thinks, it's the same place we crossed earlier! oopps?*
Elaine: You called for help when we were just a stone throw's away from the place!
And when we entered,
Senior: You're late. (we weren't btw!)
Me: We got lost!
Senior: *laughs* It's 52 acres of land! It's a fishbowl!
-____-" CF was really fun though. =)

Blackout
I'd just spent the whole morning mopping and cleaning my chalet. Washed the toilets and did my laundry too. Wah. Who cares if I didn't have detergent? I used HARPIC. Kills 99.9% germs.... on the floor. -.-" If it works for the toilet, should work on the floor too right? Right? Haha.
Speaking of laundry, I didn't get to catch the laundry lady to get the laundry coupons from her. So I found a senior who was kind enough to give me some of her coupons. I went with her to her chalet and it was crazy. It would be improper to write what was hilarious at the time. Haha. She believed I was traumatised. Well, I was. Kinda. LOL.
I had Domino's pizza last Thursday. =D Next Monday, they're selling Hilton's chocolate cake. Who says going to jungle will reduce one's spending? Haha. I don't even lose weight here. -.-"
Thanks to Alicia's pity on me, I now know what's up in school. =D
I WISH I CAN ATTEND CHANGE YOUR WORLD! I can change the world around me. Yes, I can. You just wait! *gives determined look* How I miss ISCF. And food. Haha! Eu Fern brings nice food to ISCF.... *dreams* ... And Alicia just bullies me into washing the cups. =.=" Don't miss that. Nah uh.
And I will join Amy is feeling extremely annoyed that band cannot perform. ANGRY. There.
And I believe it's Swiggle. I doubt Mr Marvin wants you guys to watch Lord of the Rings. Haha. Speaking of which, I watch half of Billy Elliot last week during my tutorial.
Eh so kesian! Go back at 2.30! Tsk tsk tsk. Poor children.
And I is jealous that all you get to act in fancy clothes that make you look demented. Haha.

Even more updates
Zi Hao: So what? I'm limousine!
After 9 days, I'm really starting to adapt here in the jungle college.
Classes here start at 8.15 and last until 4.10. There is a 15 minutes break after every 3 lessons and a 5 minutes allowance between lessons to allow us time to travel from one classroom to another. Breakfast starts at 7.30 and lunch is at 1.00. Food is not bad though the seniors complain of the fish. One of the seniors that I've met, Q (this is not an anonymity, it's just her nickname), who is running for the post of Food Exco in the Students' Council, is putting "No fish!" in her manifesto. Haha! Speaking of which, tomorrow will be the Manifesto Night and I will get to vote! =D Though I can only vote for those running in my own batch.
There is a Christian Fellowship here so that cheers a lot of things up. We meet twice a week - once for prayer meeting and another for care group. I haven't attended the Care Group yet because it's on Thursday but the prayer meeting is still awesome. There aren't a lot of Christians in my batch - only 3 of us last I checked. The Bank Negara scholars are still missing. They were supposed to appear yesterday but now, news are that they will only come next week. Poor kids. Hehe.
Just awhile ago, we had a house meeting. There are 4 houses here in college - Topaz, Garnet, Diamond and Sapphire. I'm in Topaz. It's sort of like a more active version of Sports House. They've plenty of activities and inter-house competitions organised. Right at this moment, there is a basketball showdown between Topaz and Garnet for champion. I'm supposed to be there cheering but oh wells. Haha! Did I mention Topaz wins a lot of things? =P=P We call ourselves the House of Rock. Next up, we have Bangsawan Night which is sort of like a drama. It's a huge thing in college and Topaz has been the winner for the past 2 years. The committee is hoping for us to be the defending champion and menempa sejarah as the only house to win the Bangsawan thrice. I'll be helping out with the backdrop and props along with the rest of my batch in Topaz. That will be held almost every night starting tomorrow because the Bangsawan Night is just about 20 days away - before CNY.
As for the subjects classes, Math is still fine. We're doing quadratics and functions. Pretty much Form 4 topics but I now know how some formula came about. Pretty cool. Hehe! Literature is quite fun too. We're starting with Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. It's a comedy where a girl falls for a girl disguised as a boy and then proposes to her identical twin brother, thinking it was the girl disguised as a boy (but we all know it's impossible because identical twins are always of the same sex) and stuff like that. Our teacher gave us these pieces of quotes and as she narrated, we filled in when it's a dialogue. Then she asked for the papers back and said "OK! We'll go again!" and we were like, "HUH?!" Had to guess out the words in the end. Lol.
We had to do role play in English today. I was supposed to make Zi Hao go on a date with my niece and he was supposed to not be able to stand my niece.
Him: *sings* Lonely! I'm Mr Lonely!
Me: Eh! You're still single ah!
Him: Ya! Didn't you see me singing "Lonely"?
Me: I have the PERFECT person to introduce to you!
Him: Who?
Me: My niece!
Him: Eeeee! I know her! She's been with me since Primary 1! She has bad body odour!
Me: She bathes more now!
Him: How often do you smell her?!
Me: .... I visit her once a month.
But that's not the best one. Here is the better one. Krizun is supposed to call in sick (lying) and Anis, the boss is supposed to suspect him lying.
Krizun: *coughs* *coughs*
Anis: Krizun! Is that you again!
Krizun: I'm sick!
Anis: I don't believe you! You've been sick for the past 30 days!
Krizun: I am! Can't you hear me coughing! *coughs*
Anis: You get back to work now!
Krizun: I can't! I'm in the ambulance! I have brain tumour!
Anis: If you are sick, you can give me medical certificate!
Krizun: They don't give MC for BRAIN TUMOUR! Can't you hear me coughing!
Anis: You have brain tumour and you're coughing?
Krizun: Yes. The brain affects my lungs. It's BAD.
Anis: The last time you called in sick, you came to the office DRUNK!
Krizun: See that's a sickness too! That's why they have these AA meetings. I'm on the ambulance and they're taking me to the AA meeting so that they can heal me.
Anis: So you're on the ambulance to check for brain tumour and to attend AA meeting?
Krizun: Yes! That's how bad it is! I have to go to both!
Anis: You're FIRED.
And there's another one which is awesome but I can't remember because they used lame drug lord language. Lol. It ended with a murder. =p
Anyway, it's 7.00 now so I shall have to go for dinner. It's Western today! =D
Before that, Happy Birthday, Mum. =)

More updates from the jungle
Today's the second day of college classes. My chaletmates are already coming back with homework. I have no homework. YET. Haha. My Math class is probably the only class which has no homework yet. =p
Just a while ago, the Chinese Cultural Club (CCC) had this short programme to welcome my batch of juniors. A few of us went so we got to take part in this short station game. There were 3 people in my group and there was this one funny guy who is really THIN. He's thinner than me! I'm so jealous. Haha. So in the game where we had to carry someone across the Japanese Garden, we carried him. He enjoyed it so much. Lol! We call him Lady HaoHao, like Lady GaGa. =P
The seniors here are pretty awesome. :D Last Sunday, I went to Tanjung Malim for church. Mass was held in BM so I got a little lost. But there wasn't much choice. It was either that, or a Methodist church which kinda uses Tamil, so says the seniors. After church, we walked around Tanjung Malim for food. Pan Mee there isn't so bad! It actually tasted pretty good! So ya, maybe it is like a dog being let out of cage (*cough*Alicia*cough*), but it's better than nothing la. The Dining Hall serves chicken nearly everyday. It's always chicken or beef, but chicken's more often.
Quote my friend: You serve chicken so often, I've decided to turn vegetarian!
There are still plenty more activities to come. There is the Duke of Edinburgh Award which we can partake in awhile. Swimming lessons will follow. I shall learn some Chinese in the process as well. And in a few days, there is the Student Council (SC) voting. We get to vote for the future councils on Thursday. And it's really cool. The candidates have to run and prepare manifesto and stuff. Unfortunately for my batch, we don't get to run for many posts. Actually, we can only run for one post which is the Special Task Exco, one male and one female. I'm not running fyi. Haha. Since we came in sorta late, we didn't have to prepare posters. The July batch last year have posters up and running. Posters decorate the walkway.
Last Friday, Galvan and Sees Schierenberg came to the college to perform a concert. Galvan is Sees Schierenberg's wife and she's the emcee. Sees Schierenberg is a violinist who plays a 320 years old violin. The concert was really great. That was how we ended our induction week. I've yet to exercise the sports facilities here but I shall try it tomorrow. =)
My computer is acting rather weird with blogger and it's getting late so I'm lazy to figure out where's wrong. Some pictures got lost along the way and those below are those I couldn't figure out how to drag 'em up. Hehe.

One road smooth wind
My very first post of 2010 will be one full of well wishes and not so emo goodbyes to those leaving for Taylors this week. =)
First to go is Amanda, who is taking the 4 p.m. flight later today.
Sorry I can't send you off. The airport is at the other end of the world from my house and I can't yet drive. So have a safe trip and I will see you during Chinese New Year if I fail to go to Sunway Lagoon on Kim's birthday. Good luck surviving the first couple of weeks of college, eh? :)
And tomorrow, Kim is leaving on the 7 a.m. flight.
Sorry that I can't send you off too, Kim! Your flight's a lil too early. I shall see you during Chinese New Year too! Though I hope I can make it for your birthday. My orientation ends on your birthday actually. I'm just wondering what time it ends and if there's a chance for me to get out. Chances look pretty slim... =( Nevertheless, one road smooth wind to you and have an awesome birthday next week. :)
Then on Saturday, Olivia's leaving on... I've no idea what time's her flight.
But I will see you soon! :D
The funny thing is, these three people are leaving to the same place to study the same course. And yet they're leaving one day after each other. Funny la. Haha.
But everyone will be back for CNY so no need to be emo. =P
And since I don't get to send Marilyn off next week,
Good luck, buddy! I figured you'll need it more than the lot of us. Haha. No, it's not hell for you, but still, all the best surviving Earth. =) See you in a few weeks!
Actually I don't even know if these ppl still read my blog since the existence of Facebook.... -.-" This is like my cheap mode of sending well wishes. Cards very expensive these days, you know?
