Goodbye blazer and tie

It's been a pleasure being able to wear you (the blazer and tie).

But before that, happy birthday, Olivia. =)

Today's my final day doing prefects' duty. :) And it just had to rain so duty ended really fast. As big as Kawasan 5 (the carpark and church) can cover during a sunny day, we barely have anywhere to go on a rainy day. Dang.

When recess duty had ended I went to my class' stall and announced, "I finished my duty! As in I finished my duty! As in... I finished! As in FINISHED! As in I'm FINISHED!"

Then, we clapped and congratulated each other and gave each other high fives. =)

When the bell finally rang, we were so overjoyed we didn't want to budge. We wanted to make the moment last forever for Esther. ;p

Us: Hey! We finished our duty!

Esther: I'm not finished.

Us: Oh. You not finished yet ka?

Debbie: She's not finished because you guys are still here!

Us: OH! Come! Let us make this moment last longer!

Esther: Get away from me!

And Lysandra wanted to make the most of her last moments as someone with authority so she started yelling at us to clear the spot. Lol.

Then we met Ginny on the way back to class, who was working in Pengawasan and had been counting down to her retirement since the bell rang.

Ginny: 4 more minutes!!

So I walked to canteen to meet Fur for awhile and walked back again.

Ginny: 1 more minute!!

Haha. Then we went back to class and clapped. =.="

Amy helped me tear my prefects' badge to celebrate my freedom. :p

Anyway, I don't think my white shoes are dry....

Just because tomorrow class begins at 11....

I feel free. =)

Tomorrow is Hari Koperasi so I can chill for half a morning. This morning my class had to cut colour papers to make confetti. I didn't get a piece because I came into class late.

So when I turned around, I saw those behind me sitting in a circle, cutting papers while chit-chatting. They looked like a bunch of mak ciks doing handiwork while gossiping.

And I told them that.

"Shaddap. You also have to do!"

"Nope. I don't have paper. *grins*"

*pause*

Them in unison: "Francoise! She doesn't have paper! Give her paper!"

=.=" So I had to join in their mak cik gang as well.

It wasn't so hard. Kinda fun actually. And after that those peeps started trying out origami. They folded paper birds, paper boats, paper camera, etc.. etc...

Anyway, I finally got the sports day picture from Eleena. Here's my drumstick fight with Amy. =)

And then the drumstick dropped, I think.

So I had to try to strangle her.

Which obviously didn't work because my arms are too short compared to hers.

=.="

Support

Today, Maxine had her Spell-It-Right challenge at Spring so Olivia, Emily Lim, Erica and I decided to go and give her support. She didn't really want us there actually... haha. But we just kinda made it seem like a big deal - so big that we even suggested to make a banner for her.

"Ok. I'll make the M and X, you make the A and E!"

"Then I'll make the I and N!"

"Eh, then I make what? .... I think I make 'GO'!"

"Oh then I make the Chng!"

"I make the apostrophe!"

"I do exclamation mark!"

So that it'll spell "Go Maxine Ch'ng!" Lol.

But I didn't bring my exclamation mark and Emily didn't bring her apostrophe. Hahaha. Actually none of us brought anything to Spring today. We got there just in time to watch our school go against Kuching High, which put up a good fight.

We got so tense over the whole thing even though we were standing at the side. It is today that we all realise how limited our vocabulary actually is.

But Cassandra pulled it off and went into the finals. :D

Then the three of us went off to shop because we didn't have any place to sit.

So we went into Padini to try out shades. Again. :)

Didn't want to get reprimanded again so I took picture of our own glasses instead.

We all wore specs. =)

Then we had lunch with Maxine at Secret Recipe. And then we went back to watch the finals.

All the finalists wore specs too. :)

As those spellers stood up there spelling, we tried guessing the spelling at the side too. Got it wrong most of the time. Lol. I had no idea how they managed to breathe up there.

And as it ended, Cassandra won third place and the school got first.

And we clapped madly at the side.

And then we went to MPH. No failed mission this time. :)

Snakes and scorpions

Today, as we were holding our daily @-the-back-club chattering, talking about us in general like we always do, we hit on a subject of Andrea.

And Andrea who was sitting a chair's length away, talking to Emily suddenly turned over at the mention of her name and said the word she says every day:

"Say! What did you say?"

Maxine: How did you hear what I was saying? You were talking over there!

Abigail: *logically* She has two ears.

*moment of silence as Maxine forgets that everybody has two ears*

Maxine: OH! TRUE!

Anyway, after the snake in classroom drama not very long ago, today there was yet another drama involving yet another dangerous animal.

And our reactions were about the same as before.

Once upon a time, when Andrea screamed "Snake!", people reacted like this:

Maxine: True or not?

Olivia: You joking hia?

Maryann: *lying asleep on table*

Abigail: *reading book peacefully*

Emily: *stares*

And then when Andrea did not burst out laughing, everybody stared some more.

And then they saw the snake move.

And THEN (finally)...

"SNAKE!"

*sounds of people shifting to safer spot*

And today,

Twas the period right after recess in the Music Room.

I was there to finish off the cupcake I bought after having been taken on a guilt trip.

And those lucky robotics people who get to go to Bintulu on Wednesday were practising peacefully inside.

Then I told Alicia her Bible Quiz marks and she was so overjoyed at her marks that she started skipping across the Music Room.

When she stopped to fascinate at a scorpion and asked, "What's that?"

So our reactions were:

Me: Is it real?

Clarissa: It's dead?

Alicia: It's fake.

Amy: Step it.

For awhile, we stared at it in awe. Then we started to scrutinise it to confirm whether it's a toy.

Me: It's not moving.

Alicia: There're cobwebs over it.

Amy: STEP IT!

Alicia: It must be either fake or dead.

Me: *nudges it to one side*

And we stared some more....

Amy: It's not moving.

Alicia: It's fake.

Me: It's dead.

And THEN (finally)...

It moved.

Us in unison: *monotonously* Ah.. ahh..

Alicia: *runs to open the door*

Me: *steps away from the scorpion*

Amy: *looking amused*

And Clarissa, the winning reaction:

She went and grabbed the plastic from the Robotics mat and tried to capture the scorpion because she wanted to preserve it for science.

Whatever happened to the good old catching of grasshoppers?

So anyway, after much fussing, they got the scorpion safely caught in a plastic cup given by Gurprit.

I think that maybe we are just a little too urban that snakes and scorpions are completely not related to our lives. Add that to the pranks people like to play with fake toys in the market. So when we do come across one, we just go "Really meh?"

Coz it'll be rather silly to freak out over a toy snake.

I think.

The sun is brighter when

I have finished my add math project.

I have finished magazine work.

I have finished band report.

I did not fail Bible Quiz. (!!)

I think I'm happiest about the last fact. :D

Now I have only Physics to worry about.

9 more essays to go.

Sigh.

Outing with Andrea behind the wheels

I've just wasted an entire afternoon playing Minesweeper. +.+"

A few days ago, we celebrated our Gawai by going to Spring. =)

Kim wanted to shop for top so we went to MNG.

I was trying to show that it was Kim behind the curtain.

She bought herself a white top (after entering MNG 3 times) and we went off to Padini.

Marilyn tried on a strange bulu coat.

There were a lot of one piece suit for sell and we wondered why people would want to wear one piece.

Have mankind got that lazy?

Then after roaming about some more, we got to the caps section and tried on caps. But there was no mirror so we couldn't see how we looked like. And we felt pai seh to walk away, wearing their caps (with no intention of buying) to look for a mirror, so we dumped the caps back where they were.

I put back mine exactly where it belonged but Kim and Marilyn, after initially stretching their body to take the caps from the high shelves, just dumped the caps where I dumped mine.

Tsk, tsk.

No wonder people use one piece suit these days.

I shall get one for Marilyn on her birthday. :)

Then we got to the shades section and we started trying out shades.

We took 2 pictures.

And then we got reprimanded because we weren't supposed to take pictures inside.

Oops.

Marilyn kept laughing at my using the shades. =.="

"Eh, how bout this one?"

*take one look and laugh* "No...!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!*

"This one ok le."

*take one look and laugh again* "Cannot la. HAHAHAHAHAHAA!"

Evil.

Because of her, I couldn't find the right shades to take picture in and because of that, we tidak sempat take the next picture with different shades. See la, Marilyn.

After that we went to the heels section and started trying heels.

Well, they did.

But no pictures this time because we scared they scold again.

Then we decided to go MPH. (Attempt # 1)

But on the way there, we passed K-facto-2y so we got in and see see. Then we found Fashion Girl and got in and look look. After seeing their super high, super sharp, capable of killing, heels, we got off to see sports shoes, where we met Olivia.

And just like that, we forgot about MPH.

And we went off to eat donuts because we got hungry after all that walking.

I have a horrid picture of Marilyn with Alien chocolate smeared all over her teeth. :P

She always does that. Even with Choki Choki!

After donuts, we decided to go MPH again. (Attempt # 2)

So we went up and we stopped at the random stalls to check out some bracelets. (so expensive. RM 10 for one bracelet with 6 strings. -.-")

Andrea called and asked if we'd like to leave Spring. We couldn't decide so we hung up and went on to Cindy because Marilyn and Kim wanted to buy studs.

And just like that, we forgot about MPH once again.

When we remembered (Attempt # 3), Andrea called again to ask if we really didn't want to leave Spring. This time, we said we would so once again, we abandoned our quest to MPH.

And went out with Andrea Lau.

We went to Song Kheng Hai for drinks. Too bad it was Gawai so we didn't have much choice.

I'll take 10 pictures of you driving next time, Andrea.

We were supposed to stay for dinner at Spring but everybody suddenly had dinner plans with family so the original plan was cancelled.

Andrea drove us back to Spring and the outing was done.

What did we do when we got back to Spring?

We tried to go MPH again. (Attempt # 4)

On the way to MPH, we met Vera so we paused to talk.

The minute we finished talking, Kim's phone rang and she had to go home. So there went MPH as we walked her out.

After sending her to her car, Marilyn and I tried to go to MPH again. (Attempt # 5)

"I tell you we won't even see the door of MPH."

And I was right. I had to leave midway so there went MPH again as Marilyn walked me out.

And after I got home, what did Marilyn do?

MPH (Attempt # 6).

Did she succeed? Would she be the only one to see MPH entrance and actually browse through books??

Looking busy

This morning, I went to school at 9.00 a.m. to strategise a plan for Mighty Mind with Gurprit and Mei Theen.

But I could only find Mei Theen so we actually stopped to wonder if Gurprit's forgotten about the whole thing. She wasn't picking up her phone either. So in the meantime, Mei Theen and I searched the recycle bins for plastic bottles and aluminium cans.

So we walked, walked, walked....

Then we stopped and paused in front of the opened ERT room. (For what, I forgot, but I think we were a bit flustered that for once, the recycle bins were clean and empty)

Anyway, ta-da.

Guess who we saw, looking all busy....

Gurprit!!

She was in school all along!

She reached school way earlier than us and had spent her time helping teacher out in the ERT room, preparing Ribena Sprite and spreading butter and kaya on bread.

So cute. Haha.

So we ended up doing our strategising in the ERT room. We had only one small plastic bottle, cellotape, a pair of small scissors and hardly anything else.

But luckily, we were in the ERT room.

So we got our BIG Sprite plastic bottle from the Ribena Sprite Gurprit prepared, plenty of aluminium cans after Gurprit dumped the Sarsi for teacher to sell and there were knives and forks for us to utilise.

Mei Theen attempting to murder a bottle

Creativity. =)

We used a fork as a can opener.

Anyway, we went for our extra class after that.

That's the Voons eating during our 5 minutes break.

The atmosphere was so different this morning - so relaxed and energetic and lively. We had food and we could talk and we were still doing our work. :)

After extra class, we stayed back for Webteam and went off to KFC for lunch. Miss Susie drove us there and we had a talk about our future. Again.

Miss Susie: If you want to work after SPM *points to notice*, you can work here.

Me: But I won't work in KFC.

Abigail: Sth sth... Chicago 7.

Maxine (who was dreaming for the first half): Ha? What? Kentucky?

Me: Yea. *points around* Kentucky.

Maxine: Isn't Kentucky in Chicago?

Abigail: Yea. Fast food restaurants - Kentucky, Chicago 7, McD...?

Maxine: OH! I thought you were talking about Kentucky as in, you know, the state??

-__-"

And then we went to school and got to work.

Working

That's how dark the Teresian Room was.

We were supposed to help upload some photos unto Mediafire but our connection was blah so we switched to Imageshack. Imageshack worked for Andrea and Abigail but when I did it, I encountered fatal error.

"I had fatal error!"

"How fatal can it be?!" - Maxine

Since uploading takes time, we took time to watch The Mom video, listen to songs and talk about Adam Lambert and other entertainment news. Like how I think Twilight shouldn't win MTV Best Movie and how Jacob's actor has grown in a few months' time.

Andrea said Adam sang a song called "Crazy" that sounded really cool.

So Maxine googled "Crazy Adam Lambert"

And here is Andrea, trying to recall how the song sound like.

Err.. maybe not like that.

But it was close.

Here is the 21st century thinker, cross-legged on an office chair, in front of the computer

Andrea Lau

It was pretty similar.... ;p

I gave up trying to upload after encountering some more fatal errors in Imageshack. Even Mediafire was playing with me by uploading one picture at 1kbps.

So I climbed on a chair and took picture of the school model.

The Gazebo

"Eh, I'm taking picture! Look cool!"

*pose*

*snaps*

*see*

"I LOOK SO UNCOOL!* - Maxine

Looking busy

We ended the day by giving Maxine spelling tests. Lol.
