Joys and Wonders 2008

I actually spent days composing a 29-page long summary of 2008. I was using quite a large font of 18 but still I don’t think anybody would want to read it – even if it’s about them. So I guess I won’t be posting it.

2008 has been everything I expected it to be and better.

People who brightened my year

I turned 16 on my school’s Sports’ Day and celebrated it with a game of Laser Tag.

And that was my Form 4 2008. I have had the best Christmas season ever. I smile just thinking of it. I smile even wider just thinking of how great this year is going to end. I have tonnes of fun.

In Christmas Wonderland

I don’t feel old. I’m happy to grow up at my own pace. I may be lagging a little bit behind but that’s okay. I think I’ve grown quite a handful since Form 1 regardless. I’m nearly 100% sure that I’m turning kuai-er each year. I’ve had more drama when I was 7 than when I am 16. But that’s my story to tell. =)

Dream a little dream of Louis Vuitton

Ever since Kenny Sia made that LV post, LV is haunting me.

Everywhere I go I see LV. I go to bed also I dream of LV. It's as though my eyes have developed a sensor for LV bags.

For the 5 days I was in KL, not one day went by without me seeing several people carrying LV merchandise. It's like a plague. It's everywhere!

Merry Christmas!!

I'd just come back from the Midnight Mass. It was nice. I reached there at 11.35 and met Francoise. There were no more seats so I went to stand with my parents for awhile before deciding to stand with Adeline Liaw at the other side. Then the rain started drizzling so we had to move to the main entrance. And we stood there for the rest of the mass. :)

Midnight Mass wasn't fun. I'm not sure it's supposed to be fun. Haha. But it was nice. And it was warm. And it made me feel good until now. ;)

Christmas Parade

I joined the Christmas Parade this year thanks to Andrea. She and the Voons forced me to ask my parents during the Doulos night with them there to make my parents say yes. So smart.

I reached a lil bit late because I took for granted my house was near but barely 1 minute after I left house, Drea sms-ed to say that the parade had started. Got so anxious in the car suddenly. Andrea had to sacrifice to wait for Marilyn and I.

When Marilyn finally appeared, we chiong-ed ar. Ran and ran until we caught up with the St Joe's contingent. Wanted to just join them but then they had proper lines. The three of us were like squeezing in one space. So malu. Our outfit didn't fit their all-white some more. So we left after hovering with them for awhile to catch up with Drea's church. So we started running again. Ran like crazy. Ran like the wind. Chiong.

Finally after running past don't know how many contingents, we caught up. Our candles blew off along the way so we had to relight them. Drea's candle had an accident on the way back. It burned off her paper cup. Hahaha! Moment of kin tio suddenly.

Marilyn also blew off hers after her paper cup got filled with hot wax. She was afraid that the wax would drip eventually. Only mine burned so nicely. :D Then hor, Andrea Lau beh kam guan my candle burned so nice so she sabo-ed me!

She blew off my candle. =( I shouted her name le but didn't know how to punish her. Haha. So I let her go. Hmph.

We gathered back at the Jubilee Ground at the end of the parade where I wished many people a Merry Christmas. Amanda appeared after spending her night sitting on horses (I simply say. I don't know what she sat on), waving and showing her teeth. Wore her striking yellow crocs some more.

There was this wild moment in the middle of the parade where we walked past a policeman. One girl got like so high she shouted "Polis! Polis!". The police turned and it was like... awkward... so we just went "Merry Christmas!" I think even more awkward la. Haha! The police waved back awkwardly also.

Doulos Internation Night

Thanks to Elaine, I got to go to the concert. =)

She said if we go earlier, we might be able to enter without tickets so I asked Andrea and Marilyn to go earlier la since we are like the tumpang people's ticket punya orang. Marilyn and I were getting tickets from Elaine while Drea was getting hers from Amanda.

Andrea reached the earliest. Hahaha... So sad. She said I fraud her into going early and "What kind of suku kia go so early? Concert starts at 7.30." So ya, the three of us went like super early for hardly any reasons because the people who had our tickets all came super late. We all got like so kin tio when we saw floods of people coming because the ticket read "Ticket becomes invalid 15 mins after concert starts." We went -___-".

Anyway, Marilyn hadn't had her dinner yet so we went off to Scoops for ice cream. =D Silly us kept asking to taste. Nearly tasted all the flavours. Then we felt so pai seh so we all bought ice cream. Haha. And it turned out that....

Andrea is afraid of stray dogs. Muahaha. Rather walked on the drain side than face the dog on the actual road. Marilyn and I walked past like statues like that. Nearly flinched when the dog looked at our way. =.=" Then we saw rat in the drain some more.

After eating, we walked back to wait some more for the people who had our tickets. Saw Lysandra who waited with us. Then the people with our tickets appeared so we entered. We sat at a place with no beautiful view so.. sorry Elaine, couldn't snap pictures.

The performances were good. I like. I love Scottish dance. =D Feel like joining Doulos. Joined after SPM for 2 years also nvm le. The three people then started bashing me no need go study meh. So I told them lor, if any of them pursue Medic, I finished serving Doulos, come out study a simple course also I graduate faster. They stared at me like mad because none of them liked Medic. Lawak. Told them I forgot they are hopeless people (them: as if I got hope la). Got la. If I join Doulos. Haha! But Mum said "siaw ar." Lol. So there goes my dream.

There were 3 translations during the night though so all the talks got pretty tiring. I think the doctor would have giving a nice speech but the translation after each sentence kinda ruined the mood. We ended up talking the whole way. The BM translator so funny lar. Marilyn kept laughing. Kept asking people to scream some more. So we screamed lor. =.="

My English is now cacat. Lysandra was shocked at my horrible English. Andrea and Marilyn crapped about Gossip Girl. Marilyn enjoyed suan-ing people ok. True nature of Marilyn Voon.

Movie Day

Finally I got to watch Twilight. A bit anti-climax la. Expected it to be better. I love their glass house though. This is what we came up with.

So hot la glass house.... but they live in Forks.... so never mind.

Lepaking gang

We watched 2 movies that day. We watched Space Chimps too. I thought it would be like so lame one movie because we never heard of it but it turned out to be super hilarious. The whole cinema was noisy. We're super cool.

Then when it ended, before the lights went back, we went "Ok! Change hall!" and 6 butts rose at once. Then the light came on. O.o'' Saw all our faces. We ran down the stairs and quickly ran to the Twilight hall.

Anyway, before the whole movie thing, we met at Riverside. And on our way to Star, don't know why we were super crappy so we couldn't stop talking la. Then we talked and talked until Drea nearly got herself killed while crossing that small road. So we freaked out for 1 second. Then we crossed. But I think Kim was still high she stepped on my slippers! And it was like.... spoilt and lying in the middle of the small road. So embarrassing. The people walking at the back of us also laughed their asses off. It was like watching cartoon. This bunch of crappy people who crapped so much suddenly had an embarrassing moment.

So I leapt like a frog to the other side and tried to fix my slippers. Embarrassed ourselves for 10 minutes standing on the side of road. Kim said it was so windy some more. Haha! She wore a skirt. The rest of us were well protected with shorts. Anyway, they started debating if they would run to buy me a pair of slippers until Marilyn came to the rescue with her super strength. She fixed my slippers. Super slippers woman. :)

But the movie day was super fun. I liked the changing halls part. Haha. Plus we all felt super lame that day so there were lots of lame jokes. =D

Maxine's umbrella stories

Just came back from a dinner at the place which was previously Italianos. I don't feel like writing much. Been jittery a lot lately for I don't know what reasons. But long story short, Maxine brought an umbrella. Because I asked her to. Because it was drizzling a little when she arrived.

Anyway, Maxine has a lot of umbrella stories.

Once she tried to demonstrate flipping her umbrella. I forgot for what she wanna flip her umbrella but then yea, she flipped her umbrella and the umbrella FLEW from her hands. =.=" Francoise couldn't stop laughing. Pn Chua: "Francoise, stop teasing Maxine!"

Then, now, Maxine owns a pink lacy umbrella with loves all over it.

Today I went to school to staple the sistem maklumat murid thing. Well, I didn't staple la. Elaine stapled. I just arranged. Haha. But still, we did hundreds of them.

It was no easy job ok! Now we know why those stuff are sometimes stapled badly. Used to complain about it somemore... Have to understand. It's labourious work.

Anyway, we started doing it in the Penolong Kanans' office but were asked to move to the office instead coz they were having meeting. So, the three of us got to be clerks. =) Lol.

We finally finished stapling after about 1 hour. Then, we moved on the sellotape barcodes on the Bilik Sumber books.

Then we pindah rumah again after the meeting's finished. We went back to the Bilik Sumber to continue our work. The RC-ers finished their meeting and joined us there.

I remember my infrared-ing experience with Elaine once. So damn slow ok. Then halfway, the connection lost. =.="

But then... with Francoise =)

We had better luck. Just for the sake of pushing the limit, we even move the phones around a couple of times, twist it left and right, pull them apart for like 1 cm... we expected it to lose connection but then... still transferring leh.
