Pluh-see-boh --> a word I'll remember for life

I had my very first debate today. We were all so unprepared. Haha.... due to all the business, we actually didn't have any chance to talk over our points before this morning. Yes, we had held our first and last meeting about the debate on the day of the debate. +_+''

Luckily there was no Chemistry before the debate so we had two free periods to discuss (God is so kind! =D). Didn't manage to talk everything through but we managed to cope. Debate was after break up in the hall. I nearly blacked out when I heard how loud the microphone was when it was being tested. I am afraid of my ''microphoned'' voice. +_+'' That phobia came from sudden handling of microphones in the past. It feels a bit weird to hear my own voice reverberating in the hall.

Anyway, we met Kristen in the hall before the debate. We asked if she was going to watch us and she shrugged. Then she saw our A4-sized papers.

''Why you use big papers?? Where are your cue cards?''
''Err... we didn't have time to make them....''
''Oh... then later if you panic and your hands shake, we can see the papers shake!''

My hands shook and the papers shook and I tried to not shake but I couldn't and then I saw Kristen laughing. Lol. I nearly laughed as well. Alah... should have prepared cue cards. Was supposed to prepare yesterday but I ended up doing the Powerpoint thing until 12 a.m.... +_+''

Among our screw-ups:
1. We didn't prepare cue cards.
2. I took the microphone from Adeline during POI.
3. We pronounced ''placebo'' as written (as in place-boh).

Azureen: What is ''place-boh''? It's ''pluh-see-boh'' la, sayang.

Since we didn't know all the rules and stuff, we screwed up quite a lot. Haha. Maxine's team should do better. =)

But never mind. We still won. =D

Now, I have to prepare for the debate tomorrow. At 12.35 a.m just now (it's 12.38 a.m now), I was pacing about my living room rehearsing debate speeches. I hardly have any script prepared. T_T I'm gonna die~

Oh! Updates on my sports thing. =)

I went for training yesterday (yes, despite having told that I'm no longer in), hoping that I might still be able to save a chance to run. Elaine said I must run because running on my birthday is special. Anyway, hopes went up when Muni agreed to let me take her 400m event (she was trying to get out of that) and I went home happy.

But the next day (today), when we went to meet the teacher, the teacher said cannot because this year, the authorities had imposed a rule saying that only 30 athletes are allowed to participate from each house.... because they are giving out free t-shirts this year (it's my birthday and I can't even get one... I am mourning)..... because this year they made us pay RM 10 for our Sports' Day contribution (it was cheaper last time I think).

Oh well... there goes all my hopes and dreams.

Maybe I'm just not meant to run on my birthday. It's so sad. Now I feel a sense of loss of purpose. I don't know what to do during that day! T__T

Eating ice kacang seems to be the only thing that I can think of doing on that day. Sedih.

Easter Wednesday

Yea ok, I know it's late but we'd only just celebrated it today in school k.

Today is a quite eventful day. Started off with assembly. Cikgu Belinda retired. Eh, not yet. She's retiring tomorrow. =.='' Aiya, never mind la. Anyhoo! The principal kept talking about the new fire evacuation plan and the fire extinguisher during assembly and asked the teachers to teach us how to evacuate. Then, right before we entered our class for Maths, Amanda and I saw firemen outside. Something fishy this way comes, we say.

After Maths, we started discussing about the whole fire issue.
Amanda's suggestion: We stay. We don't run! (wah. so brave. =.='')

Then we discussed somemore.... and suddenly,

*POOOOOO~!!*

The fire alarm rang. Yes, the alarm goes ''poooo''.

Maryann: *screams*
Maxine: *screams when she heard Maryann's scream*
Erica: *contemplating if she should ''save'' her calculator*
Amanda: *sitting down with her legs cross, still calculating her Chemistry question*
Me: (to Amanda) Oi! You die loh! Still do Chemistry question!

The many reactions from the students of 4 Sc 1. Haha. Then when we were outside making our way to the field (the ''safe zone''), teachers were there videotaping and photographing us. Lol la! And we were all smiling and laughing. Andrea was even doing peace signs. Lol!

We were anything but like this. Haha.

Even when we had reached the field, we were still laughing and smiling and making jokes while we watch the school ''burn'' down. Even the teachers were laughing at us laughing.

Teacher: Ehhh! Fire drill! Cannot do this pose wan!

Hahaha! At first, the whole thing was fun and amusing la. But as time passed and the sun started getting stronger and flies started circling our head (Literally. There are grass flies there k.) and we started sweating, the whole didn't seem so fun and amusing anymore. It was starting to get crammed too with everyone trying to squeeze under the shaded area.

Me: Teacher, why no firemen?
Teacher: Neh! The firemen are there! You colourblind ka?
Me: *see* How come they don't spray water???
Teacher: =.='' I ask them spray you.
Ginny: Spray us good leh. We all so hot here. (O_o'')
Erica: So slow de. The school hangus lor.

Lol. Not only the school hangus ah. We also hangus already.

We nearly burnt as well

After a long wait, finally a live demo on how to work a fire extinguisher was shown. They were going to burn a wheelbarrow full of egg trays and useless cardboards and ask a student to work the extinguisher. It had seemed rather interesting at first, but after given some thought, aiyo... better don't burn la... make us hotter nia. Dahlah we were near our melting point already.

But then, despite me saying that out loud, they burnt the cardboards and the egg trays anyway. A student then sprayed the fire extinguisher. The whole thing went on super fast. A cloud of whitish grey smoke filled the air. The fire was out but the smelly smoke kept on chasing us. Adui....

By then, it was already mid-recess time. I was hungry but we weren't yet dismissed. Then, Erica came to ask me if I wanna buy cookies from someone outside the staffroom. I was hungry so I went to see lor. I saw Stephanie Yeo with her big basket (marked ''REFERENCE BOOKS'') full of cookies. RM 5 for six cookies. Aiyo... I was so reluctant. But since it was for church and I was hungry and Erica wanted to eat, I bought one packet lor. Gave 2 to Erica. I'm nice, ok. ;) I did a noble deed today.

Anyway, I was the FIRST student to buy that. After I bought that, other students started buying. Wahahahaha! Should thank me ah! She managed to sell off everything by the end of recess. I demand some commission. Haha.

Finally, it was recess. I had my kueh tiaw from the Easter Gathering and then went back to class while waiting for the event to start. In class, I then saw a bunch of people crowding at the teacher's table. So I also went to see what's up.

Oooohh... the top 10s free tickets are here! This time, the ticket comes with a free cruise! xDxD

And the people crowding at the table were making plans to go out together.... with the teacher. Peng~ Apparently the teacher was also so interested that he asked us, "You people go out together or separate? If together, can I join?''

LOL! First time in my life man, a teacher wanna join us for movie! But he is young and claims he watch movie every Wednesday (movie day) with his friends. Apparently, he knows a lot about movies. iPENG.

Soon, it was time for the gathering. During Praise and Worship, Maryann, Erica, Kim, Maxine, Amanda, Marilyn, Andrea, Francoise, Adeline, Jaclyn, Marianne, Emily and me went to the side and started doing acts together. Amanda was uncooperative. Lol. The whole hand holding thing stopped at Amanda and never reached the rest. Hahahaha. Then Marilyn and I tried to make her jump also cannot! (We tried carrying her leh. Never know she so got ''lat''. =.='') And then near the end, some of them went to the back to make an even longer line (at the side, we had to do senget) but that was near the end d lah so some of us didn't go. Elaine and Joanna were singing. We are supportive people, ok. =)

That was the best part la. Happy moments. But don't know why this year's gathering feel so short. Last year's seem longer. Maybe because this year no recess time to take. =( Kueh tiaw this year is fewer also. Lol~.

And then, there was Chemistry. We had to have 10 periods today. Tired, tired, tired. But oohh, in Chemistry we did an experiment which involved heating. Seems we have to deal with a lot of heat today. Haha. We had to heat the thing, then had to let it cool, then weigh it, then had to repeat the whole thing again. 1 minute of heating apparently takes a lifetime to cool so we added one procedure - switching on the fan to max and then moving the apparatus under the fan.

Bo liao ness. Nothing much interesting really. I found out today that I won't be running for Sports' Day as well. Ah, yala, should have gone to practice yesterday. +_+''

Teacher: Jangan kecil hati ya? You join next year. I give you one year to train and slim down.

And just like that, it seems I won't be doing any of this this year.

Honestly, I don't know whether to be glad and relieved or disappointed and mournful. Without any events during Sports' Day, I don't know what I'm going to do there after my performance leh. Eh... OI!!!!!!!

PK made me unable to look at Tiger Woods the same way anymore

I went to Erica's house to do our PK project today. It was about Tiger Woods. I now know almost every fact of Tiger Woods from all the translating I did last night. The project made crazy horses circle my head last night while I was trying to finish translating an English article to BM. I hate translating! It made me went bonkers. I can never view Tiger Woods the same way again. I especially hate translating English into BM! It's so hard to make some sense into some words. Example:

He's half black. - Dia separuh hitam (?)
Nickname - Nama nick (?)

=.=''' Pardon my limited BM vocabulary. My karangan was commented ''Tidak memuaskan'' ok. +_+''

Anyway, I don't want to talk to Erica anymore! She ''belittled'' me until I had to hide at the corner of the room (like in animes)!

Anyway, the project was finished not long later. Yah! One burden off our backs. Form 4 is starting to get hectic. The next exams is in about a month. Cold sweat! We haven't even got our positions yet and we have to start pia-ing for the next exams already. Sadness. Never mind! iPIA! iPIA! iPIA! Cannot let Erica do bird dance anymore! :P:P

After we finished (I find it weird to describe an event without pictures +_+), Maxine and I went through her drawers and found Rihanna's Unfaithful piano score. Then I started singing.

Maxine: Lip Yi ah! You better don't sing!

Then she sang.

Me: Maxine ah! I think you better don't sing also! You're as bad as me! LOL!

Hahaha. SInce I have no pictures to provide (because I still lack a camera phone), to make long story short, Maxine went home soon after, leaving only me and Fred in Erica's house. Erica then brought out her ABC soup (I thought it was ais kacang at first =.='') to serve us because we got hungry after looking at greenbento.com. Her mother made her made chilli for us. We couldn't finish the chilli but finished the soup. So we helped her washed the plate. Then her brothers came down. Her baby brother is cute. Her other brother then joined us to chill outside on the wooden table. By then, I was already waiting for my car to go home. We talked until my car arrived. The end.

Good things are happening

PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE THE LORD!

I didn't fail my Add Maths! I didn't fail my Add Maths! Alleluia! Alleluia!

I went on believing that I had failed Add Maths until today. The other day, teacher still announced my name for failing some more. =.=''

My results, excluding Add Maths, are okay, I guess. Despite my miserable Add Maths marks, I somehow managed to miraculously muster up an average close to 80, which is very surprising. I am very surprised. Really.

Today, I handed in my Moral paper for a recheck in hopes of getting some marks. Apparently, some of those who handed in before got marks added to their paper so I also went to have my luck tried. It at first didn't seem successful. My arguments were dismissed until I went speechless. So I gave up hope in the end and took my paper away. But then she asked for my paper back anyway after awhile. In the end, I had 3 marks added - 3 marks that I do not know from where.

But, PTL! That 3 marks helped make my average A! It's exactly 80. *peng*

School reopens today. I got back 9/10 of my papers - none of which I am completely satisfied with. First term exam is sad, sad, sad.


Currently, I am also at a loss for the designing of the front cover. I am completely without an idea. I am already on the verge of peng-ing just trying to think of a suitable idea. Bah....

On a much brighter side, Nodame Cantabile is hilarious! Ho ho ho! I like the afro-haired timpani player, Minami. Lol! The crazy maestro is funny too. He introduced himself as Milch Holstein - Milk Cow. =.=''


My mum brought home two small fishes the other day. They are really, really small - almost minute sized. They won't grow any bigger either. It's sad. Now I can't even enjoy the joy of feeding them because they are so small, they hardly eat!

Elections is now over. Life is still normal. And I am getting sick. =.=''

I'd woken up super early yesterday at around 7 something due to unstoppable sneezing. Each time I lied down, I would sneeze continuously for about 30 times or so before I come to a short halt. Half a minute later, it all started again from the top. It was miserable. I'm coughing too.

It's a bit sad to be getting sick in the holidays. But then again, it's not like I have any plans for this holidays except trying to read The Third Terminal (Terminal Tiga). It's so boring~!!

I'm currently doing Add Maths too. Trying to execute my plans but I guess time will tell how far I'll actually be able to carry that plan off. Sports training are starting after the holidays. Well, it started before the holidays - the week before exams (that's why I'd skipped them) - and I actually didn't want to join any events. I'd planned on 1500m but the people who were supposed to join with me backed out.... except Drea. Drea! Don't join liaw! Join now = suicide because all the super stamina people go compete. +_+''

My plan of a group of us marching down the 1500m race together while talking and in the end crossing the finish line together went into the drain when they heard ''one-thousand-five''. So.. yealar.. *crestfallen*

Oh! Oh! We didn't die in Accounts tuition last Friday! Praise the Lord! We were expecting for a huge scolding when the teacher enters but everything turned out so calmly. Honestly, we were shocked and surprised. Lol. Marilyn said when they first arrived, they stayed downstairs because they were afraid to go up. =.=''

I shall go back to Add Maths now. :)

Launching of my iPIA Add Maths Plan

It's true. I died.

So exams is now over. Had my final two papers today - EST and Maths. I got back my add maths paper which I had sat for yesterday too. I didn't do so well. No wait, I did terrible. =.=''

Never in my life have I left so many blanks in an actual exam before. Waaarrrggghhh... so kek tiok arr! Next term, I will throw away my watch before I sit for add maths.

Scolded

Exams started yesterday. I wanted to write about it in Multiply but I don't know why I can't access the site. =( So I am forced to post here.

We started exams earlier (it was supposed to start only today) because on Monday, the entire class would be going for the Yayasan thing in Civic Centre. So yeah. Everything was so unprepared for yesterday so we had to sit for our exams in the Science lab. =.=''

I had the worst seat imaginable. Since if we were to sit like how we normally do, it'll be so cramped and copying is in every bit possible, some of us were shooed to sit at the side tables. I wouldn't have minded sitting by the sink but I got the seats at the other side instead - the side where my legs had nowhere to put. I was forced to sit sideways for 4 and a quarter hours ok! After each paper, my neck suffers cramp. =.='' It was terrible I tell you.

And since the Friday exams came as a bit of a surprised, I decided that I would have to skip my Accounts tuition that night in preparation for my Physics paper today. Ok la.... it was also because everyone else had decided not to go. +_+'' Anyway, at 4 something yesterday, my mum called up my teacher to inform him that I wouldn't be going... and guess what she got after that? =P

She got scolded. By my tuition teacher. For about 15 minutes or so. LOL!

He said that I was the third person to call so after my mum hung up, I called Amanda to see if she had called or not. Mdm Tan say she hadn't so I was like, "Teaccchhheeerr! You call later kenak scolded!!'' but she was still all ''Nvm! I'll call later. I very busy now."

And today, I went to school and found out that she got scolded as well. Ahahhaha! It seemed that everyone who called him yesterday got scolded except for Erica and Yet Soong. Lucky people! It was our fault la that we didn't tell him earlier. Next week's session we sure all die.
