My brother's convocation

My brother graduated today! =D

My brother? =P

I went to Inti this morning for his convocation and saw my EST teacher. o_O'' She waved, came to me and passed a booklet, telling me I had to register. I was like "huh?" Apparently, today is also the public speaking workshop thing. No wonder I saw some familiar faces when I arrived. Haha. And I thought how come all of them got relatives graduating. Lol!

But I didn't attend the workshop la. =P Instead, I went 2 floors up to the Mary Yek hall for the convocation. =)

This part is great - It wasn't boring! The speeches were all so short! PTL! The ang moh professor from the University of Wollongong actually said, "Today is not a day for speeches!", congratulated the graduates and ended his uber short speech. Ahahaha!

Anyway, my parents got my brother a bouquet of flower.

Not so big la... Lol... some graduates got 2 bouquets of flowers plus a big big bear that wears a mortar board. *pouts* Btw, I just found out that the square hat thing graduates wear during their convocation is called a mortar board. Lol.

Anyways, after the whole thing, there was a photo shooting session by Jacky Studio. So funny ar the photo shooting! The photographer kept asking the people to adjust themselves until they also cannot tahan. ''Head lower a bit... move to the right a bit... smile! Eh? Why no teeth? SMILE!''

Lol! So hilarious I see those people having their photos taken. One girl actually said after her photo shoot, ''Another minute and I will die!'' Hahahahaha!

Rain

Last week, my friend gave me a ticket to a concert. I didn't know whose concert I was going to attend. I looked at the ticket and it read: Rain's Concert. I immediately felt awkward as I didn't know why anyone would want to hold a concert in the rain.

The following week, I went to the concert. It was raining. This must be Rain's Concert! I thought. I stood in awe of the rain for awhile while thinking that whoever the concert holder was, he must had had such a brilliant meteorologist - one that is able to predict the weather one week in advance.

I took a glance around me. Nobody was in sight. That's weird, I thought. The ticket was worthed a fortune! Then, I heard noise coming from a concert hall near the carpark. So I entered the hall. There was a big crowd in the hall and surprisingly, they were all screaming "Rain! Rain! Rain!" at the top of their voices. I did not understand why anyone would want it to rain indoors.

When a handsome young man appeared on stage and started a break-dance, the crowd shouted "RAIN! RAIN! RAIN!" even louder - as though rain had come. I felt so puzzled.

"Excuse me," I said to the guy standing next to me who was also shouting "RAIN! RAIN!" as loud as his lungs could hold, "Where is rain? Why do you want rain?" What he said next, I couldn't quite get. He said Rain was on stage. But it wasn't raining on the stage - no, not at all! So, I said to him loudly, "Sir! It's not raining!".

"NO!" he yelled to my ears. "That's RAIN on stage! THAT'S RAIN!" He points to the man break-dancing on the stage.

I took a long stare... and fainted. Surely a man couldn't be rain.... right?


That's my future oral thing. =) Wrote it myself. ^.^

Anyways, exams are coming. Can't seem to be able to bring myself to study... I don't know how to study actually... aiyooo... all the structure subjective questions seem so so impossible for me to answer. T.T

Failing (or getting really low marks) seems very possible at this moment. *sigh*

Went to school this morning as usual and found out that Jacinta was looking for me. She found me, hugged me, wished me Happy Valentine's Day, ushered me to her class, gave me cookie and shoo-ed me to duty. Haha!

I'm currently doing the band notice board. Found some rather interesting pictures that dates back to 2005 while I was photo browsing.

For the first time, I realised I was once in the same group with Erica and Amanda during band camp 2005. How come I never know wan?! *peng* And during IPR in 2006, I was again, in the same group with Amanda. Why is it that I don't remember that hor... Amanda too forgettable. +__+''

The only thing I remember about Amanda in Form 1 was during IPR that year... she couldn't get past the... err... the branch crawling thing. =.='' Tried so many times until the teachers looking at her also got amused. Hahaha! =P

This is going to be quite boring because I am going to blog about my Chinese New Year visiting and I haven't got any picture to show you. Blogging about a CNY visit without any pictures is like... eating ice-cream without the cream. And so, I am sorry.

Anyway, on the third of CNY, I found myself in Adeline's house yet again. Three times I went to her house during CNY! I got there to the presence of *counts* Adeline, Maxine, Michelle, Mei Theen and Debbie. Erica arrived later than me. Anyway, we squeezed ourselves into Adeline's mum's car... which wasn't too comfortable because they were seven of us (we are huge people, mind you). And I ended up having to sit on the floor. =.='' Which made the bumpers hurt my butt. Double =.=''

What to do? The seat couldn't fit so many butts mar... Haha... I was in such an emo position. Anyways, after a looong and bumpy ride, we finally reached Mei Theen's house where we spent quite a long time because of *ahem*olivia*ahem* who asked us to wait for her. And who, in the end, left us to watch movie with her cousin. *swt!*

After playing some weird games (duno what magic magic game), we find ourselves squeezing again, except this time, into Mei Theen's father's car and went to Erica's house. Weeks ago, Maxine told me that she can play It Ends Tonight on the piano... she demo-ed for me the other day...

Erica: Wah... you think rock piano ah?

=P And then, after fussing about Erica's baby brother's toys, we went to Michelle's house. No more squeezing this time because Erica's car is big (and also... Mei Theen left). In Michelle's house, I opened my very first fortune cookie!

And then we went to Aaron's house. Fiddled with his computer. Dude has 1443 songs in his computer. Dang! So many! Tried to make him sing but failed. Oh! And then...

Erica wanted to find the toilet so she went to the back....

And suddenly,

And then we realised we had no transport to our next destination - my house. So I asked him lor... ''Wanna come my house? You drive us there. =P We no transport. Hehe...'' to which he replied.... ''I'm waiting for people.''

=( So we had to return to Michelle's house and waited for my dad to pick us up. Michelle stayed at her house and I dumped Debbie at church on the way home so... in the end, only Erica, Maxine and Adeline went to my house. T_T

So sad... only 3 people. Haha... but nevermind lah. It was still fun. They saw my guitar and asked me to play Hey There Delilah... which I did and since I can't sing well, I asked Maxine to sing la...

But once Maxine sang, I couldn't play anymore.

Me: *laughs head off* Wrong key! Wrong key!

And the last house we went to was Maxine's at 8 something in the evening. Maxwell was there. So cute ar him! He called Maxine before that at Aaron's asking her to go home fast fast.... because he wanna play gameboy. LOL! He's playing an un-save-able Pokemon Silver on the gameboy. So kesian. When I told my brother, he was like "got point meh?". Haha... should give him my computer version ler... =P At least save-able. Lol...

Anyway, Maxwell kept on bothering us (or rather... me) with his pokemon tales that his mom threatened him that I won't go his house anymore because he always bothers me...

His mum: You always bother her, next time she don't come liaw then you know!
Me: *sinister smiles* =P
Him: *seems a little afraid* Er.... erm... did you bring... the pokemon cards you say wanna gimme wan...?

LOL! In the end, he only cared about the cards... T_T Maxine arrrr.... your brother arrrr....

So yea... the day pretty much ended like that. The absence of pictures is because my camera ran out of memory space. And also... the canggih people with canggih camphones didn't wanna take pictures. *sobs*

It is now 9.42 p.m on the second day of Chinese New Year. This will make yesterday the first day of New Year. Lol...

Anyways, the first day of CNY for me is usually reserved for family. On that day, all my aunts and my uncles from my father's side will come to my house to be reunited. So yealar... =). Did I mention I'm an aunt now? Well.. I was an aunt six years ago. Don't bother telling me I'm old. I'm feeling the signs already!

Anyhoo, I now have two adorable nieces. And yesterday, the sister (now six) wore these boots to my house!

My friends visiting just started today. And the first house I went to was to Adeline's. I went there alone. I was alone for a reason. Lol! I wasn't suppose to sit there actually k! I was just supposed to kidnap her and leave! But I ended up sitting there for hours instead because I couldn't kidnap her. =.=''

And sit I did! Met John Paul there with his bunch of friends. Adeline was ''busy'' entertaining them so I had to invite myself to their table. +__+''''

We learnt how to count in Indian too! From Claudia. Five is Anji (I call it Anjing) and 10 is Pate (I call it farted). And that's all I remember. The rest are too... foreign. Lol. We left after we'd had our portion. We parted ways too. The guys went on visiting while us (the laydeahs - in Maxine's style) went to Claudia's house for a second helping while sending her back.

She was telling us about the Indian curry she has at her house which we didn't eat the first time we were there and invited us in again for a second helping.

Chinese New Year's Eve

It is now just a few more hours left to CNY. I'd just spent the last few hours cleaning the house while taking some pictures for moral.

Anyways, my class teacher left us to fend for ourselves just before the start of this holidays. She teaches (or rather... taught) us Physics. I never really understood any physics. Neither do I always do her homework (I always tend to bring it to school to ''discuss''). But that's just because I don't get physics. =P But all that aside, she is by far the kindest teacher I've ever met. So there. =)

She emo already... awww...

Most of us (the class) chipped in money to get her some farewell gifts. It seems we're really big on these things - getting gifts for people. They bought her a cake from Secret Recipe and a mug (I think) and a card. We also made a poem last minute during English. Forgot how it went but it wasn't bad. =)

Anyhoo, I went to Maxine's house on Monday to try out our NXT robot. There were many distractions at her house. One of them was her brother. Lol! He would suddenly show up in the room, showing us his pokemon comics and his pokemon cards. When I told him I also got pokemon cards, he went high and kept asking if I have a ground type one. Hahaha... but so kesian he always kenak yelled at to leave the room in order to protect the small lego compartments. Awww... but he was so cute, I broke Maxine's heart twice by asking her...

Lol! Drea had to leave us at 2 to go for her tuition so Maxine and I ended up going to Spring. Our programming attempts were getting annoying when one button just grayed out and never again returned to earth. So we left it at that lor.

When we reached Spring, it was already nearly 4 and all we had for lunch was a burger. =.='' So we went a-searching for somewhere to dine first. I suggested Sushi King but Maxine didn't want. First time I saw Maxine rejecting Japanese food! -_-

After contemplating many places, we finally ended up in Secret Recipe. I didn't want leh. The prices scare me. But Maxine convinced me that it's once in a lifetime. -_-'' I actually fell for that and went in, half-prepared to burn RM 20+ off my pockets.

A cup of iced chocolate with whipped cream. Add the lasagna and this together, plus the service tax and all other sort of ocipala tax, I'd say they cost about RM 25.

Ahh.. but who cares. The food were there and they were delish. I like whipped cream. No, I love whipped cream. I am crazy over whipped cream. Whipped cream is the love of my life. It tasted so nice! I just scrapped them off the top and ate them until Maxine said:

Olivia joined us halfway in Secret Recipe with her dad and her brother. She wanted to go MPH but her dad and brother didn't want to so her evil intention there was to drag us there with her. =P So we went with her to MPH lor after we finished eating.

And as we were a-walking to MPH, just a few inches away from its door actually, a thought suddenly crossed my mind.

I asked and Maxine flashed me an omg-we-forgot-to-pay! look.

After that we rushed down like crazy and made a pact to pay Olivia's dad (who took our table after we left) so as to not embarrass ourselves. We actually rushed down like mad with Olivia trotting behind us, complaining about how close we were to entering MPH (she was probably just an inch away from the entering into MPH) but had to rush down again. =.=''

In 2 minutes, we found ourselves in Secret Recipe again.

Olivia: They forgot to pay!
Maxine and I: *laughing nervously*
Olivia's dad: Oh... nevermind la... I pay!

Waaahhh... so nice of him! Thank you! We offered to pay ourselves but he said it's ok. So Maxine and I had to be very nice to Olivia. Haha. So that we don't pai seh ma... Cannot call Olivia ''Bol'' anymore.... Lol!

I saw an uber nice pair of surf pants in Bodyglove... which after discount... still cost RM 60++. *peng* I wanna go Petaling Street!!!!!! *throws tantrum*

I shall get that pair of pants when I feel rich. Maybe within the next 10 years... if I'm lucky.

January birthdays

This is really such a belated post but as you all already know... internet hasn't been kind to me at all for the past few weeks. It's ok now though. PTL! =D

Anyways, a few weeks ago, on the 12th January, Jaclyn celebrated her early birthday. =)

She officially turned 16 on the 16th (omg.. I just realise the coincidence of her age and the date!) January 2008.

The 16th (just to fyi) is the birthday of Jaclyn, Kimberly and also... dum dee dum dee dum... my brother. Haha~! So I actually celebrated 3 people's birthdays at one go! Celebrated Jaclyn's one on the 12th, then Kim's one in school where we bought her pizzas from Pizza Hut and surprised her with it during break. So many of us sang happy birthday to her while carrying the pizzas and the only comment she could muster at that time was...

Sounds like Kimberly and is 100% Kimberly Tan. =P I had my nicest ever break food that day. I've never had a pizza for break before! Life feels so blissful now. The pizza was nice despite the fact it was cold. Haha... Anyway, I confronted Kim about her comment after the whole singing...

Anyway, this is our early birthday girl on the 12th January. =)

The night before hor, on the 11th, I received an sms from Kim saying:

And so, that's how I ended up going to Spring first on the 12th. Only... it wasn't only the two of us. When I went for band that morning and told Amanda about our plan, they wanted to tag along too. So it ended up with 5 of us - Me, Kim, Amanda, Marilyn and Andrea.

We entered Parkson in the end where we wanted to shop for the LOVE clan ''uniform'' - LOVE clan = Amanda, Andrea, Marilyn and I. We still like to reminisce our post PMR days. =) Andrea calls us the LOVE clan.

Kim was allowed to enter after that to see how we looked like in the same shirt. And then, when we were going to change back to our original clothes....

Amanda: Aiya... we all change in here la! Then in the end, we all leave for Lip Yi to change. (she said that after I chased them out the first time)

After that I don't remember what happened... but it somehow ended up like this...

Me: Eh! What happened to the plan of you all leaving when I change??
Amanda: No need liaw la! I lazy!

First time in my life, I was forced to change under such circumstances.....

Adui... If there were anyone outside waiting to use our room, I wonder what crossed their minds. They must know there were a lot of people inside from the noise... and I'm sure they heard the camera snapping too... ooohhh....

Anyway, we took a picture together when we were done. Kim was allowed this time. Haha.

Elaine joined us some time waaaaayyy later so I haven't got a picture with her. She insisted I follow her to walk around Parkson while the rest went elsewhere. I told Elaine which shirt we bought and she was like ''Wah! So nice! I like la!'' and I said ''Cannot buy! We buy already!''. Lol... Then I showed her the pants I bought... ''Wah! So nice! I want la!'' she said and I went ''Cannot buy this colour! Buy the other colour...'' and she was all =.=''.

Haha... sorry Elaine. You were late ma... Anyways, after that, I called Kim to ask where they were...

Me: Where are you?
Kim: At the food court.
Me: Where's the food court?
Kim: Next to Levi. At the bottom floor. Don't worry, you won't get lost wan!

Since she said we won't get lost so I ended the call and went searching for the food court with Elaine. Long story short, we ended up lost anyway. *peng*

And after everything, Amanda had to leave us because it was Mdm Tan's birthday that day so she had to go home. Kim and I went to wait with her and saw her off (such nice friends we were =P) before we went back to Spring to reunite with the rest. But not long after, I suddenly spotted her sitting outside there again.

So kesian... haha! She left not long after that though, just before I left them to go with my family.

I had to see her off twice...

My dad drove me to Jaclyn's house after that while the rest followed Elaine's car. I seemed to be getting lost a lot of times that day because I got lost on the way to Jaclyn's house too!

But somehow, I managed to reach there in the end. =)

The atmosphere out there

I had some food and cocktail. And then we went to the living room to chill.

Maryann and I got bored so we played chess (to replay how the atmosphere would be if we were to attend .....'s party).

We gave up chess in the end because neither of us is good at it. And also Maryann kept copying my moves. Lol!

So we played heart attack! (luckily Ah Jo not there.... =P)

Yea.. a cake fight took place. Andrea thought she could get away with it by being a camera person... but I attacked her! Buahahaha! She came to me way later when I was already washing my face, shouting ''You attacked me!!!!'' and smeared cake on my face. Lol...! I had to wash my face with dishwasher... =.=''

Anyway, not one person was spared except for Erica... who screamed at the top her lungs before anyone actually got near her. -.-''

Everyone got a bad hair day

There was nothing much to do after the cake fight la. No one could finish the cake too. It was too sweet.

But the Lord of San Andreas decided to take up the challenge to finish the cake for RM 10.

These sequels are actually hilarious... =P

Drea insisted we took a picture of her leaving. Then, Kim went there to shoo her to leave fast fast.
