Band Display 2007

For the first time ever (since I joined band anyways =P), we were invited to play for Band Display. I remember the first time I went to watch Band Display. That was back in 2005. (Wah. So long ago.) We reached the stadium at about 5.30 p.m. Watched the St Joe's marking the field for their band. Listened to some BB band mocking about us. Grrrr.....! Warmed up. Ate Singapore Chicken Rice. Wanted to tune but couldn't because the tuner went missing. Ran into the field for rehearsal. And waited for the event to start.

And then the sky decided to rain.

So we ran out of the field. Ran out. Then the MBKS people announced that the event was to be postponed or something. How can like that! After we practised our asses off just for that night! The next time we performed, it probably wouldn't be good anymore because our api semangat has already burnt out.

Luckily, they decided to proceed with the night anyways. With the bands performing indoors. Not that good an idea. But still, it's definitely better than postponing the event. So yeah. St Joe started playing first. They were probably disappointed coz they didn't get to show off their formation. I have to say. Static doesn't suit their formation songs well (This is the one time STS band should be thankful for being a non-formation band!). So I bet they were greatly thankful when the rain stopped halfway into their playing. If those perasan people would think that their music conquers the sky or something. =.='' Their music doesn't, ok. Lol. So the MBKS people announced, once again, that the event was going to go on! As rehearsed! Yay! Talk about kehappiness!
I wanted to jump... but having a tuba strapped to my back kinda made that impossible. -_-"

And to add to the happiness, they made us the first team to perform! Giving us the privilege to watch all the other bands' performances. Double kehappiness! Oh and by the way, we performed uber great! =D Except for the running part. We could fix that. Just a little technical difficulty. First timers after all. =P

Here are the only see-able pictures of that night that I have. Enjoy!

I know the pictures are dark and blurry. My mom didn't use the right button. But you can still see them (if you squint). To anyone who has better pictures of that night - I WANT!

This is the answer!

It was a cold, rainy morning. I had my maths paper on that morning. Strong winds were blowing directly towards me and somehow, I managed to brain freeze-d my brain. I was doing my paper slower than usual. My mind was blurrer. My confidence was smaller. And my calculator is not the calculator I wanna used. Did I mention I think my calculator got stolen? Either that or I misplaced mine in some obscure place that I haven't look for some inexplicable reason.

ANYWAY, after I finished, as usual, I checked. Double checking. They teach you to do that. So I double-checked lah. And I changed some answers lah as double checking is bound to make you do that. And of all things, this is what I got for double checking.

Shakespear

After my brother left for his university, my family had been talking about my future. I don't know why is it that we never know our ambition until the time comes which is like at the last minute. If you think my brother has been wanting to become a doctor all his life, you're wrong. Very very wrong. When he was my age, he wrote in his essay: I will definitely not become a doctor as I hate blood. Hah!

Anyway, thanks to the Alanttuya (dunno how to spell) trial, my father is infesting my mind with law as a future career. Actually so long already lah he feeded my mind with the brilliance of law but the recent happenings just seem to speed up the process. Anyway, I have now decided that I like three fields of study - medicine, language and music.

Medicine is fascinating. I like biology. It's like the only part of Science that I like. But I hate the plants part. -.-'' The anatomy very interesting ler. Until now I still remember that the knee cap is called patella, thanks to Kher Lee's "OWH! MY PATELLA!" after someone playfully hit her knee. -__-''' And language, well, study about Shakespear! Wakakaka! Language very beautiful. I think it's supposed to be an interesting subject just that the interesting part was cruelly put to death by the syllabus we use. True! It feels like I had been studying the same grammar and vocabulary today as when I had studied it in primary 3! And music. I won't study music lah. -.-'' So terrible my skills. But then reading about the composers is fun.

I've made a discovery about the early composers though. Most of them seemed to have died early. Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, etc. Then I go tell this to Esme right....

i eated a cookie: u know i found out all the old old composer rite
i eated a cookie: died early!
€smoo!: yesh
€smoo!: they are
€smoo!: either commit suicuide or i donno lar
€smoo!: some diseases
€smoo!: HIV
€smoo!: true what
€smoo!: last time they did not found that
i eated a cookie: really?
i eated a cookie: who kenak hiv!
i eated a cookie: lol
€smoo!: im not sure who again
€smoo!: i think is shakespears not mistaken
€smoo!: bcos this people
€smoo!: they have sexually high
€smoo!: or they jst need to do it with different ppl
€smoo!: so that they can get the feel
€smoo!: and write out nice poems and stuffz
€smoo!: i think they called that inspiration
€smoo!: yea...
i eated a cookie: what the...!

What sort of an excuse is that!? Imagine the wife coming home finding her husband with another woman and all he said was "I'm sorry, honey. I just need to do it with different people to get inspiration!" =.=!!
